Bathrooms were gross and desperately needed a deep cleaning with some super strong chemicals or something. And the woman's restroom was "Out of Order" so anyone who needed to use the bathroom had to use the men's (it was a single room restroom, so no stalls. So one person at a time, obviously). For some reason, there was a water bottle full of piss just sitting on top of the toilet. GROSS!! Avoid the bathroom here if you can!!

I usually order online and then pick up using the drive up and go. I have to say it is so convenient and the staff is EXCELLENT on customer service. I really appreciate Jordan and Maricel!!! Nice to actually have customer service with a smile and great attitude!

Went here about 10, 15 minutes ago. Had $1 on me and was starving so I got 2 packs of Top Ramen for $0.98, paid for them and then asked the customer service guy if he wouldn't mind getting me hot water out of the faucet directly across from him, about a 5 second walk and 20-30 seconds of work. Figured as a customer I would get service. Instead, the man looks at me and says, "oh, the Starbucks is closed I can't get you hot water." I said, "whatever dude, I would have gotten it for you." Then I asked a cashier if I could complain to a manager, and to my complete disbelief "Juan" the manager was the guy at the customer service desk. I said never mind, and the lady said why? I said this is the person I wanted to complain about. He refused to get me hot water so I could eat as a paying customer because I am a white male. The cashier completely believed me and apologized on his behalf, while he stood there with an evil grin smirking at me not even trying to pretend I was wrong. The racist, sexist bigotry I dealt with at this Safeway is why I will never shop here again because I would never even spend a dollar at a place run by someone who acts like skin color is an acceptable reason to discriminate against people who have done absolutely nothing wrong. As the manager, he could have absolutely turned on a hot water faucet so I could eat. The Safeway I usually go to always does and is nice to me, because it's not run by a hateful prejudiced individual who I would have moved from standing in place doing literally no work for half a minute to help make sure he can eat the food he paid for, giving customer service. Not the complete opposite. I hope that he still finds it funny as he did then knowing this review will be seen forever by every white person who looks this place up on the GPS so they know to go somewhere else.

The place is great except for one of the manager. She's extremely judgemental. You can watch her pick a person from a crowd because theyr dressed in cheaper outfits than her liking or theyr spending foodstamps.she is rude and short with them.or refuses to help them find the deal theyr looking for. Just mean to you of your poor.shes been known to secure folks of stealing even though they had nothing in there pockets or on them at all.its sad really.

I just tried to purchase batteries and was completely unable to. I had to first wait for the self check out employee to unlock the batteries like they were a tier 1 substance, and then was unable to allow me to carry the batteries around the store while I shopped. When I was ready to check out, the employee repeatedly ignored me, most likely because he was on his phone dropping a juvenile amount of f bombs. I would have asked for help from someone else but he seemed to be poorly covering the customer service counter also. I left without purchasing anything.

7/9/23The quality of Safeways fresh French bread has gone downhill tremendously. It was the best French bread you found find around here. The bread used to be long, thick and fluffy. Now, it’s short, dense and it’s more sourdough smelling than French bread and it’s tough like a baguette. It’s packed in the French bread paper, but it’s just no longer the same and there’s been more of the bag than bread. There’s so much flour all over the bread too. What is going on?

The most post-apocalyptic bathroom I have ever been to. Almost got trapped in. I didn’t wanna touch anything to get out. Leave it to Safeway to have the worst bathrooms but federal way takes the cake.

They EMPLOY the rudest cashier Laverne. Holding rewards card for her to scan for a minute and half, ask her to please scan and she yells at me, she says She See's it and I'm going to have to wait . Never encountered such an attitude from the beginning I put my things on conveyer belt. I'll never set foot in your store again.Update, still haven't stepped foot in your terrible store, and I never will. I'm 64 yrs old, and still haven't encountered the rudeness I encountered at your store by your cashier ,at any other store I've visited, ever.

Let me start by saying the employees that I have encountered at this particular Safeway have been really nice and friendly. 5 stars for sure.Now that's out of the way I have a question. Who thought putting "cheap chicken mondays" on the windows was the best advertisement? Lol. The girlfriend and I wanted to have a picnic at Redondo Beach and stopped here for a picnic meal and saw that on the window. We were like "uh, is it cheap chicken Monday because it's from what didn't sell over the weekend?"Anyway, we wanted that picnic and took advantage of their cheap chicken Monday and had a great meal on the beach. The second picture I'm posting is the view the girlfriend and I had eating this meal. :)

Recently the prices sky rocketed too soo high I couldn't stay and had to go to Winco instead. I mean safeway has ways been expensive, but 8$ for a small box of little Debbie's snacks was out of the question!!!

Stopped in during a road trip to use the restroom and woah, were they disgusting! Grossest restrooms I've been in for a long time, including some gas stations. Stains and gunk on the walls and floor suggested this place hasn't been cleaned in a very long time.Ventured over to the snack aisles to find a bag of rice cakes opened and eaten out off. Classy place.

This Safeway seemed nice but I am disappointed in the lack of knowledge from employee in deli department. Asked for 4oz of an item, received over 18oz. Asked again for only 4oz, received over 7.5oz. The sushi had no flavor and the “crunch” on it wasn’t crunchy, like it wasn’t fresh. Also disappointed in the company as a whole, nowhere on the receipt does it say where to report feedback and on the main website it wouldn’t let me submit either. I guess they don’t want to hear feedback unless it’s from a public review, which isn’t what I wanted to do. I usually don’t shop at Safeway and this reaffirms my thoughts to stay away from Safeway as a whole.Edited to add: The “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the official website literally would not work. I filled out the form 3 different times and it wouldn’t send.

It's always busy I usually shop late and there's a questionable clientele but as long as you mind your own get about your business and get yours and show respect and you're good employees work harder at these stores then pretty much anywhere else I know of in Washington and so they deserve to be treated as hard working heroes that they are.

I used to go Safeway every week spent at least $200 or $300 per my weekly grocery. However, I stopped buying groceries from this location because of manager’s manner. I love employees especially one gentleman in the morning he always smiled and asked me anything I need extra he is a tall and big gentleman with the best customer service. However, one male manager so rude who made me feel depressed. I bought buy two get two free cokes and I got eight of them and he yelled at me and told me there is a limit for four cases only. I have so many guests so I tried to purchase extra and I didn’t care about the price and he made feel so low. I checked my quick book account and I spent $9,700 at Safeway alone but I decided to not to go any longer. Most of employees are so kind and well trained except the manager!

The 5 star review is only for the employees at this location. I shop here almost pretty much on the exact same day at the almost exact time every week and I look forward to seeing my usual faces! Shawna in produce always offers a beautiful smile, "Raiders Lady" (sorry I don't know your name!) Saying hello when I get my pre-long run bagels. Then my favorite Jeff. When was the last time you had an employee walk up to you when they're not clocked in just to say hello? He's so friendly and welcoming, which at this particular area, is amazing and much appreciated.I've seen some nuts things happen at this location, don't get me wrong. If it weren't for the employees I'd rate this place a lot lower but they are amazing. Thanks guys, see you next week!

Worst visit to a grocery store iv been to ever should I even mention the horrible display of stalking and harassment soon as I or another customer enters the building slick sarcastic comments is definitely not apart of they're job description that even shows the company doesn't want anyone shopping in the establishment or increase they're customer percentage at all. I had the decency to even pay for the purchase so sad that night staff is a joke and demonstrating poor service for they're Title is to be discriminative, prejudice, and over rambunctious don't waist your time and dignity.

This Safeway store has come a long way in customer service from 7 years ago.I'd have to say in the last year it's just been a pleasure to walk in there the employees are more friendly, more helpful.. it's just done a great turn around.I do not know the assistant manager's name but he's wonderful kind, helpful, and happy! He is one of the first ones I noticed that was just like a breath of fresh air, engaging, looking you in the eyes, talking, asking if you needed help, very refreshing!Today I had help at the self-checkout from Kym. Although she was very busy, she helped me with the app which I couldn't understand she showed me how to use it, then when I was ready to leave she smiled, said have a good day. I had a very hard day of cleaning a home, my feet hurt I was trying to get home before the rain came pouring down. Her great attitude was comforting!I also had a question while going by the deli and Carol went out of her way to call and ask if there was an item in the store. She was very professional, kind but yet personable.She was right in the middle of taking food back to the kitchen but she stopped and helped me I really appreciated it!Thank you,Julie

It wasn't terrible, just unpleasant. The items I came for were overpriced compared to Fred Meyer, even after using a club card. I had to download a mobile app and clip a digital coupon just to get a decent price on bread. However, the thing that bothered me the most was that there were no open full-service checkstands. For all that extra expence, they still couldn't afford to pay someone to check my groceries. The self-service checkstands were the only option. #CorporateGreed

Never had an issue at this location. Staff are friendly and out going. Self check out open till close. My longest wait in line no matter how busy would probably be around 5-7 minutes. They have security on location. They're also very kind and professional. Random notes: If you're looking for the liquor it's at the front of the store. Also someone keeps double parking their gold Lamborghini like they own the place.

I didn't get his name but the young butcher was phenomenal! Very knowledgeable, friendly and engaged in conversation. What a great experience!
