The Doctors and staff at Marine View Veterinary Hospital are awesome! They listen patiently and are very caring, effective, and helpful in treating my cat who has chronic health issues. Love this place. The vets and staff are so incredibly caring. My little guy is well taken care of. You're always welcomed by a warm smile and usually only a short wait. The layout is perfect with the exam rooms very close to the lobby. The care by little dog gets here is spectacular. They're informative, communicative, and incredibly empathetic. They allow you to be part of the treatment process. They don't just tell you what needs to be done, they give you their advice and allow you to be part of the decision making process. This is something I have always appreciated here! Check out is always a breeze and comes again with that same warm smile. If you love your fur babies, bring them here!

Dr. Jon has always put my dog Sully’s health as a priority. He is a golden retriever that completely trusts him and can read that he is kind and has his best interest at heart. Dr. Jon is always thorough and patient with all questions.I couldn’t ask for a better person to help us make sure our puppy is healthy and safe.

The staff all clearly love our pup and we feel so safe leaving her in their capable hands. Although their schedule is often booked out, they're great at making scheduling easy and will always make space for an emergency visit. I really appreciate both the online scheduling option and that I can call and talk to a person when I'm not sure what our pup needs.

We’ve been seeing Dr Gabby for over 5 years. She helped us through caring for our geriatric Yorkie until the end and now is helping us keep our new puppy healthy and happy. I’ve seen the other two vets in the practice—Dr Felts and Dr John—and they have been equally wonderful. Everyone on staff is great. I can’t recommend them enough!

I was told that my Labrador needed to have her teeth cleaned. I have to be honest, I was hesitant because I know that they had to give her anesthesia. People have mixed feelings about this and it’s understandable when it comes to the care of your pet. After doing research and talking to others, I was under the impression that the only way to get my dog’s teeth thoroughly cleaned was to do it professionally at the vet using anesthesia. So I went ahead and made an appointment.The day of the appointment I spent some time talking to Dr. Shannon who handles theDental cleaning. I shared with her my concerns and she was very understanding and explained the process to me. She assured me that it was a two person procedure with both her and another person monitoring, and assisting the entire time. She also explained to me that they do preliminary testing to make sure that my dog is healthy enough to even handle the anesthesia to begin with. She really made me feel comfortable and did not make me feel stupid or dramatic for having my concerns. This meant a lot to me.Long story short, everything went extremely well. I even got before and after pictures of my dog’s teeth and wow…what a huge difference. Shannon is absolutely amazing at what she does and you can tell she has a true love for animals.I also want to shout out to Sherri and Bronwyn who run the front office. They are always so friendly and kind to me and my pet. They never miss an opportunity to give my dog praise when she is “making good choices!” It’s exceptional people like this that keep me coming back to Marine View Vet. Thank you for what you do, thank you for being you.

I have entrusted my pets to Dr. Jon Cullom since 2009 and have been taking my pets to Marine View Vet since the 1970's. Dr. Randall Felts and staff are caring and professional. Shannon, a Vet Tech, made an impact on me, as she is a warm and caring individual, during one of my favorite companions end of life injection. I've been going to Amber for grooming since 2021. All of these people are exceptional. There is really no where else I would rather go.

They helped find out what was wrong with my dog yesterday and found she broken her bone and put splint on it. Recovering peacefully at home. I love these vets! They have been amazing with our two cats and dog, as well as a couple foster animals we have brought in. We mostly see Dr. Gabby but have had very positive experiences with the other members of the team. Super professional, knowledgeable, and affordable.

Just because the name says animal hospital doesn't mean they'll be able to take in new pets or emergency pet visits. Needed to put my cat to sleep and they said they would do it in over 3 days but I couldn't let him suffer like that.. So we found a different place where the doctor fit us in right away because she DIDN'T want our cat to suffer either. Lap of love fit us in last minute on a Sunday morning which worked out better because it was less stressful for my cat. Pretty disappointed in this place because my husband and I brought our cat and dog here before so it's not like they were new patients..

I've seen a lot of veterinarians over the years, and I have never trusted and appreciated a team more than I appreciate the team at Marine View Veterinary Hospital. They have caught things with my pets that other vets have missed. They consistently provide in-depth explanations of test results, taking the time to answer all of my questions and making sure that I actually understand the choices in front of me that I am making for my pet. And they care about the pets the treat. It's obvious in every interaction. Just watching Dr. Jon crawl on the floor underneath the exam table to examine a scared dog, or hearing Dr. Felts passionately explain how important pain management for pets is and advocating on behalf of pets that are in pain but can't communicate it... They truly are the best. I am so grateful to them, and my pets are as well.

Always have an incredible experience at Marine View. The staff is incredibly kind and you can tell they have a true passion and love for animals. Dr. Cullom is amazing! Our pets are pretty anxious, all of them, but he makes each one (two dogs and a cat) feel comfortable. He is very gentle in his exams and we trust him so much. He's very honest about costa and will tell us if he really thinks something is necessary or if it's an option but one he doesn't feel strongly on. We've also had the opportunity to see Dr. Mentis and she was also wonderful. Always fairly priced and truly one of the best veterinary experiences we've ever had.

Dr. Jon is an amazing and caring doctor. Despite Buddy being an old dog, Dr. Jon performed a very thorough exam. He provided suggestions to help both us and Buddy adjust to some of the changes due to his age and dementia. He called with Buddy's lab results the same day even though it was after business hours.

I took my new puppy here for his last vaccinations. The front desk was very friendly to my puppy. I also felt welcomed. The prices were reasonable. They didn’t try to add more dollars to the invoice like at Saltwater Animal Hospital, which my husband and I had a not so good experience at. At Marine View Veterinary Hospital, the veterinarian was caring and knowledgeable. I’m so glad this place exists in Des Moines, Washington!

We wanted to bring our 21 year old cat in for an emergency during their open hours and they refused to see him. This isn't the first time they have done this to us with a different pet. We only kept going there because it's the only vet our cat has been to. They refuse to see him in his time of need. They stopped caring a long time ago. Find a better place.

Dr. Gabby and the staff at Marine View Vet are great! They are always helpful when my 5.5 month old black lab puppy Nate has any issues or for regular well-being or vaccination appointments. He recently had some tummy troubles (maybe from something he got into at the beach, typical lab puppy!) and Dr. Gabby was very direct and helpful with suggestions and medications to make him feel better. When his food wasn't agreeing with him, a quick switch of food, per her suggestion, and he's doing much better now. I'm glad I live so close to such a great vet 👍Highly recommended.

Dr John and his staff are so gentle and kind. When we had to put down our 17year old dog they were so gentle and thoughtful. I would strongly recommend them for your new puppy too. Months later we adopted a rescue puppy and were concerned that his 1st vet visit be the least traumatizing as possible. We were equally impressed with the staff at Marine View with this visit as well. They are reasonably priced and we strongly recommend Marine View Veterinary and their staff for all your pets needs.
