Keep in mind that they close a little earlier than usual on Sundays, but nonetheless a great hotdog and very cool and chill vibes inside the doghouse! Very quick service even when slammed with customers. Parking is limited but didn’t take away from the experience. So many topping options. Thanks again to the guy that was working as he accommodated my takeout order on Sunday April 14th. Will be back again!!Parking: Small lot in the back (3 spaces). A little space in the side of the shack for motorcycles/very small vehicles. Some street parking a few feet away. There’s a Chase bank across the street can be risky due to towing but you are good as long as you plan to be in and out quick.

It’s Seattle hot dogs in a small dive setting. Had all the best hot dogs and sausages you could want along with a complimentary extra topping and sauce bar. We had drinks across the way, games at waterland arcade and had their salmon cream cheese hot dog meal to share topped with chili and other toppings. 10/10 for Seattle hot dogs at a local joint. Fun find!

He has no idea what a Chicago Dog is. I paid almost $20 for for hoagie bun, a truckload of pickle relish and pepperoncini. A Chicago Dog is served on a poppy seed bun, small amount of green relish, wax peppers, celery salt, 2 tomato wedges and minced onions. He got it ALL WRONG. Do not order this. In fairness, the dog itself is great, but if you say you have Chicago Dogs, please don't lie or pretend you know and charge premium.

Even though the people who was in the cashier were very kind they didn't have idea about the food the were selling. I asked many questions and they answered that they didn't know. That made me feel a little bit bad. Also, I ordered an arepa with chorizo and the chorizo had a small hair inside. The place wasn't very clean and because of the coronavirus they should be more carefull and do not have sharable things. I also ordered empanadas, they were big with a lot of meat and good sauce. I recommend the beef empanadas. but I'm not sure if am going to come back or recommend this place after this experience. it was nice at the beginning to see Colombian food in this place but I didn't feel welcomed. I wish the owners would read this review and make some improvements to come back and change this bad review.

Tiny little Hot Dog shop, but the hot dogs are substantial. A filling and surprisingly good lunch option, great to sit outside on the deck and enjoy the views, and we split some tots. The employees were incredibly friendly.

This place was so cool. It was everything you could want from a small counter service restaurant. The decor was fun and unique. The man in the kitchen was cooking up a storm, serving guests, and taking orders all on his own. My hotdog was hands down the most impressive quick meal I have ever had. I got the full experience of a rainy night and eclectic local crowd. I will always make a special trip out when I visit Seattle. You have to check it out!!

As I was going through Des Moines, WA on the bus today, decided to stop here for late lunch/early dinner. Have a nice patio area to set at. So on a nice sunny day, great place to stop and have a nice hotdog or bratwurst with all the fixings. Onions, tomatoes, relish, chedder cheese, dill pickles, and various sauces. I had a bratwurst. It was not overly spicy! More on the mild range. Had it with fries and soda. Under $10 dollars. Very filling, and owner of the place was friendly.🌭🍟🍴

I love these hotdogs. I enjoy one once a week and I have tried a different style every time. I look forward to Wednesday because I know I'm going to have an awesome hot dog.Two years later I am still enjoying my favorite hotdog on Tuesdays.You have to try the Water land Dog. Wrapped in bacon and smothered in fried onions and salmon cream cheese sauce

I'm from the midwest and miss having a Chicago style dog. I truly enjoyed the hotdogs and fries. You get to add your own condiments. Definitely will be back. Wish the parking was better.

Here’s the deal with the Des Moines DogHouse:This place has some good hotdogs, and a very polite staff that welcomed me at the register and took my order on the phone. The atmosphere is cute, it’s clearly a great little local institution here.My biggest issue is that the Hot Dogs were not worth what I paid. For 2 specialty dogs, which are listed on Google at $5.50 (Seattle Dog) and $5.25 (Chili Dog) respectively, fries, and a drink, it came out to just over $30.Don’t get me wrong, these Hot Dogs were pretty damn good, good quality meat and ingredients, though the caramelized onions could have been a little softer… but was this meal $30 good? I can’t quite say it was worth that imo.

Friggin delicious! My son and I hit this spot today, I've been wanting to try it and it was so good. Owner is a cool dude, toppings are free and the hot dog is a meal. Lots of cool hot dogs to choose from. Cream cheese on a hot dog? Absolutely. Lol. Will definitely be back.

Great place for hotdogs, and they have cold beer! They also have a dog friendly outdoor patio with water bowls for your pooch. The wife and I were just there today, and, if you're a hot rod fan, we saw several cruise by while we enjoyed our meal. I have to be honest. I prefer Matt's in Georgetown, but, they're closed on the weekends, so The Doghouse suits us just fine. I highly recommend this establishment.

This place is so good. Everything on the menu is excellent. It's my favorite hot dog place. No frills and really inexpensive. 4 of us went ordered pick up thru grubhub and got really full and had leftovers for 32 dollars. Soda as well. The polish, Chicago dog, bratwurst chili all great. The fries are good too. They have a condiments bar you can take whatever you want.

I got the cheese dog deep fried in Bacon on my last visit. I've had a few different dogs and they are all great. In fact the reason I love this place is all the condiments you get. The chili cheese fries too are great.

Been wanting to try this spot for a while and finally had the chance. They have a variety of specialty dogs, sausages and brats. We did the 1/4lb dogs and they have a self-serve "fixins" bar with just about everything you'd want to put on your dog, including a variety of mustards. Also ordered tots which were good. The lady working was super friendly and efficient. Solid value. Will definitely be back!

Not sure what people like about this place. As I was waiting for my food two different orders were messed up. My order was incorrect and my friends order was wrong. There was 5 people total at my table and the forgot to bring out haft the food. Never said sorry just that it was a different order. They ask you what type of hotdog you want when order it but have to make it yourself. All they do is cook the dog and do not do very well at that. The buns are not good. There was a toothpick left in the hot dog. I would not eat here ever.Get new help.

Felt sorry for the one employee they had on it got busy and orders were coming and she had to do it all here cook cleaner cashier and order taker but she handled herself with grace food here is good like good and decent with lots of toppings and options were not sure about cream cheese on a hot dog but we do know the caramelized onions are a must!!! The one staffer on needs a raise she ran that place all herself
