While very nice people, this pet salon is unreasonable with requirements to remain a customer and the pricing is not worth the results, more so with dogs with short coats. Left my dogs nails much too long for years and it wasn’t until I tried the new groomers did I realize his paws had made him so uncomfortable for so long. Grrs n purrs told me I simply needed to bring him in more often since they were unable to go shorter without nicking him. Completely untrue and it upsets me that my pup was uncomfortable for years. Unless you have a pup that requires styling I wouldn’t recommend this pet salon.

I have been taking my dogs to Grrs N Purrs for years. It started with my miniature poodle Mushu. They had no problem working with my cranky, blind, arthritic, senior dog. Overall he wasn't to bad to get groomed, but it was difficult because he had limited flexibility. We loved the anime cuts, and that is what they would do. He always looked top notch, and would behave better for them then if I tried to groom him (I used to do all his grooming myself when I was showing him in AKC back in the day).I also had a senior diabetic pug. He was not found of the nail trims, and the ear cleaning. With his allergies he had to be bathed regularly and with my health I could not keep up on this. So Grrs N Purrs helped maintain my elderly pug too. Now that both of my seniors have passed and I have since got another pup. He will only get the best, and that is at Grrs N Purrs.If your looking for a top notch groomer that you can trust, and that's competitively priced then this is the place. They listen to wants of their customer, and balance it with the needs of the client (pet). Remember care of the animal before vanity. One more thing I would like to just mention is there is a fantastic dog day care next door called Ruff N It Dog Day camp. If you bring your dog into day care and you have a grooming appointment on the same day they will take your dog to the grooming appointment for you. Not only that, they will try do it end of day so you will pick your dog up fresh and clean. So you don't pick up your dog and then been sobered on for 6+ hours after they had been groomed 😁. They really go out of there way to make us satisfied, but more importantly have the pets leave more comfortable and always wagging/purring. I really can't express how greatful to find a hidden gem in deer park. You have a life long customer here. We are very happy with our Husky's first ever grooming experience. I have always been afraid to take him after a vet said he would need sedation before a nail trim. He's a lot to handle but the staff did an excellent job and he looks beautiful. I only wish I would have come to Grrs-N-Purrs sooner. Thanks so much!

The quality of the grooming and care for the dogs is excellent. No complaints there. I have a very big issue with their policy of requiring dogs to be on a maintenance schedule of 1 - 8 weeks with no exceptions. My dog simply does not need to be groomed that often. I had to miss an appointment due to transportation issues and they said that since he was already on an 8 week schedule I would have to find a way to get him in. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to get him groomed there anymore. Fine. You just lost a customer and I will NOT be recommending you any more. And by the way, my name is Obbie. The dog’s name is Finn

So disappointing. I scheduled an appointment in January. A few days prior to the appointment, I kenneled my dogs. When I picked them up, they both surprisingly had baths/grooming so I called to reschedule the appointment to February. Unfortunately my 85 year old mother is having serious medical issues and she has a procedure scheduled on the new grooming day. When I called to reschedule (a week in advance) I was told to find a new place to have my dogs groomed. When I offered to pay for the missed appointment I was told it was not about the money, but the well being of my dogs.I understand they are trying to establish a consistent schedule with new clients. However, life happens. Perhaps if we all had a little more grace, the world would be a better place.

My grandma was going to them for 2 years regularly. Never missed a appointment, I know this as I was the person her drove her to drop her fur baby off to get groomed and nails clipped.She called 2 days before her appointment and said she couldn't make it and needed to reschedule.The response she received with them was sorry we will no longer be able to have you as a customer. Since you can't make your appointment. We no longer can have you as a customer. Mind you my grandma is a sweet little old lady who is kind as can be and her fur baby is also sweet and friendly. People have things come up. No one is %100 perfect and is going to make every appointment.As I said she went for 2 years and never missed a appointment until now for the first time wasn't going to be able to make it due to personal issues.The only reason I could make up in my mind was that maybe they have to many customers and were trying to find reasons to get rid of all the small dog customers and replace them with big dog customers to make more money? I don't know could be wrong but just seemed really strange 🤔 my grandma's feelings were hurt as she really enjoyed taking her fur baby there and she felt like she didn't understand what she did wrong? I told my grandma don't worry you didn't do anything wrong. They just didn't have enough courage to be straight w her about the real reason. And if the real reason was because of her needing to reschedule an appointment for the 1st time that is absolutely ridiculous because nobody is a 100% perfect I'm sure everybody misses an appointment in their lifetime at least once.

They infer they care more about your pet than you do. I've had to reschedule my medical appointments but they feel they are above that. Just a reminder to this place, despite your beliefs, you are not the only groomer in washington!

Called to be added to their waitlist for my Husky, ended up getting a call back and ended up with an appointment for about a month out and being added to a wait list for cancelations. Ended up getting a call the next week for an appointment open the next day which I jumped on. They even rescheduled my future appointment for further out to better suit my huskies grooming schedule. All staff were very friendly. After 3 years of struggling to find a consistent & reliable groomer for my husky in the Spokane area, I think I found one I'll keep returning too.

I would like to start off with THEY do a great job with my fur babies. They pay extra care to my older guy as he has severe separation anxiety. But Amanda is RUDE and hung up on me after I asked to simply pick my dog a half hr. early because I had a previous engagement. Even tried to scold me that she squeezed me in because I had to reschedule my appointment over 2 weeks ago. I tried to push my appointment into October and she insisted squeezing him in. When I dropped him off she said it would be 2 hrs. I have never had either of my dogs there for 2 hrs. I understand we all have bad days, I even stopped at the grocery store and bought some chocolates to maybe make her day brighter. Nope when I got there to pick up my pooch, I was left in the lobby for over 5 min. Finally the groomer I love comes up, takes my money, doesn't offer to set my next appointment, and I was on my way. I cancelled my other dogs appt for the end of this month and nothing, Not a call as to why, nothing. I guess my money doesn't matter to you or your staff. You have lost my business and anyone I come in contact with from here on out.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! The attention to detail and customer service is simply fantastic:)Our 4 puppies are so happy to go and so happy and beautiful when they leave. The ladies at Grrs and Purrs do wonderful work. They are always friendly, respectful and professional. I appreciate the attention and care they show my dogs and myself. They require you to keep an appt. No matter the circumstances If you are a new client. you can not reschedule or cancel or they kick you off their list. My sister died of covid so I had to cancel my appt... they basically told me they wouldn't take me back. Who can lack such compassion?

The last grooming I had for my pup wasn’t very good. I had to retrim both his legs and feet. He also did not want to go in the door when we got there. That gave me a sick feeling since he loves every one.Maybe they were in a hurry.However that’s no excuse. They are expensive.I almost forgot the girl Amanda who answers the phone is extremely rude! She has been every time. This is the correct salon I’m commmenting on.

We took our two Pomeranians here. One of them was shaved every few months her whole life. She had started losing some hair on the sides and we weren't sure why. We took her to two different vets and they ran all these tests and said that it's just a disease she has but she's fine. We were really scared she was going to go bald.The moment I took her into gurrs and purrs grooming the lady noticed her fur and said it was simply because she had been shaved so often. She said if we stopped shaving her the hair would grow back. Sure enough, 5 months later, her hair is fully grown back. I can't believe that they knew what it was and other groomers and even vets didn't!We are very happy with them, their knowledge, and and their service. Both of our pups looked great and we will be a customer for life.

I’ve been taking my clan of five (recently 6) dogs here for a few years, however after what I’ve experienced the past few months with this company and those who work there, I will not be bringing any of my animals back.Their care and attention to grooming had drastically decreased over the last several months. I’ve received dogs back more than once with toe hair untrimmed, whole sections of their legs missed, and random patches missed as well. As much as I would have liked to write off the poor quality as an accident or someone being trained, it’s happened often enough that no longer seems to be the case. The last straw was when a dog of mine who receives special care, and has has vet visits following two other appointments for grooming here in the past came home with his face scrubbed raw. Completely unacceptable. When I came in to address these concerns the manager Danielle was smug, and offered an obviously insincere apology. As a long time customer, I really had hoped for more from this company. Don’t bring your dogs here. Not worth the headache or heartache for those of us who care for the treatment of our pets.

Grrrs n purrs have always had top notch service, a caring touch and consistent grooming for my dogs, as well as my Moms. Since I live too far away, I cant frequent their grooming salon, but still trust them with my dog(s). If you need a groomer, give these ladies a try. You won't be disappointed.

I called and told them I was going to be a few minutes late, I was literally in my car, and whoever answered the phone was completely unsympathetic , rude and didn’t care about my situation AT ALL. But was happy to tell me I was going to be receiving a bill for a no show (which I WILL NOT BE PAYING). Unbelievable. I have been working in customer service for a very long time. And to receive this type of customer service just upsets me. Who treats people this way? Apparently this place does. I’ll drive my pup all the way to north Spokane just to avoid this place.
