We made reservations to stay here a while back and once we got there we checked in, and then went to grab something to eat real quick. Once we started looking at the room the carpets were nasty, walls dirty and smelled like cigarettes. Tried to get our money back from the rude desk person and he wasn't having it. We ended up leaving anyways and finding something else. This place reminded me of a nasty crackhole. This is why they get full payment up front, so they get paid before you see the rooms.

I made a reservation here a few weeks prior to my trip. The gentleman on the phone took my name and phone number and gave me a confirmation number. When I arrived the night of my stay, the (very rude) man in the office informed me I didn't have a reservation. I gave him my confirmation number, which he barely acknowledged, and then repeated that I didn't have a reservation. As proof, he showed me 6 or 7 post-it notes with illegible (to me) writing on them and then walked away. Does this sound like an organizational method with which you would trust your vacation plans or the type of customer service you want when things go wrong?I should have read the other reviews more thoroughly, as it looks like others share similar experiences.

I stayed at the smokey point quality inn a few days prior to staying a night here and WOW! believe it or not, my room here was AMAZING! beautiful walk in shower, with all sorts of different spray settings, not a speck of dust ANYWHERE, the manager Si, is a sweetheart! 5 stars , hands down! I will literally NEVER again stay at any quality inn after the night experience there. I will most definitely be staying again at the Darrington motor inn for sure

Reasonably priced. We stayed here on a trip to the North Cascade National Park. Hotel is about an hour from the park. Everything closer was either booked or extremely expensive. This spot fit our needs perfectly.

Definitely your small town charm. What you'd expect. Next to grocery and espresso. Guy at front desk is super sweet. Needs a bit of cleaning and small updates, but I'd stay again

Clean, comfortable, and the office manager is awesome. Very nice. Even offered to let me wear his glasses while checking in and then walked us up to our room to show us how to work the TV. Only wish the TV screen was larger so I could see it from the bed:)

This is a very nice room for a decent price. The staff are great people and we really enjoyed our stay. The room we were in (up stairs) had a nice little balcony with a nice view. TV is satellite with several pay channels. If we ever have to stay in Darrington the Darrington Motor Inn will be our choice.

I called to find out what their rates were and the guy who answered the front desk was completely unprofessional. He answered the phone with a simple "hello" and that was it acted like he couldn't understand why I was calling. When I asked him what his room rates were he copped an attitude with me told me the rate and then I asked if they were allowed to have pets that's when he got really rude. Worse place ever, hillbilly town with nothing to offer

This place saved us from being forced to stay at at the place we originally made a reservation at. We showed up late Saturday night and were able to get a great room that was clean, spacious, had many amenities and were able to see the room before we even paid a cent!! Great customer service throughout our stay. We stayed at this hotel after our horrible experience in Marblemount and found great food and local charm here. Thank you for the service and great lodging!!

I here and the grounds were very clean, and orderly. The staff was friendly. Each room has a sliding glass door and small deck which I absolutely love. I feel the rooms were a bit spendy. But other than that it was great.

I stayed at the Inn for two nights with family. The first night was fine. The next evening the electricity went out. I tried to find the manager and they had left. I wanted to get a refund to go somewhere with electricity. We were not offered candles, flashlights or anything. Then a fire alarm starting going off in the main building where management sleeps. The manager was called and she told my brother to call the fire department because she was not in the area. The fire department was called and they came out to find she had left a burning candle upstairs with no one around. They climbed up the side of the building onto the balcony in order to put it out. When they opened the door i could smell smoke all the way to my room. On top of that I have a picture of wires sticking out of the wall where there should have been a smoke alarm in our room. We paid 115 a night for 2 rooms for 2 nights. That is near 500$. We tried to connect with the manager around 9am and still could not get a response. Does anyone know who owns this place? This is a serious safety hazard. The fire department suggested we contact the fire marshall asap. I am still hopeful of receiving a partial refund. The electricity ended up coming back on around 11pm.

I made a reservation at the Darrington Motor Inn months ago. At that time I provided a credit card number and received a reservation number. On the day I was to check into the hotel, I got a call from the owner asking what month my reservation was for. I told her it was for June and I planned to arrive in a few hours. She said she wrote it down for the wrong month and she was booked. Even thought I had a confirmation, that mean nothing. She basically said "no room for you, bye bye".I was left stranded with nowhere to sleep hours away from home. I was attending an event and was there with about 5 other families from home. This also happened to 2 other parties in my group. They also had reservations and confirmation numbers and ended up with no rooms. It seems the owner was just giving rooms to whoever showed up first and totally disregarding reservations. They should be required to honor reservations they have taken or they have no business running an inn.

They are amazing here and it has cute charm. The facilities are clean, the beds are comfy, and it is close to the new geocaching power trail (which was a lot of fun). Their WiFi is slow and not conistant. We had problems getting on in the early evening, however after everyone was in bed and in the morning we had no problem at all. They fed us a waffle breakfast too. It is a great value!

I really hate to leave a poor review for a local business but in this case I feel I must. Do not trust this business with your credit card information until you arrive and check in. I made a reservation to stay at this hotel for a wedding in the area and 2 months after I made my reservation (4 months before my scheduled reservation) the hotel cancelled my booking in order to accomodate a large group needing many rooms (that's what I was told). I was told at the time of booking that my credit card wouldn't be charged until I checked in, but the hotel charged me anyway and didn't cancel/reimburse my $235. I didn't realize this mistake until months after, when it was too late to reverse the charge through my bank. I contacted the hotel multiple times and while they were polite and attempted to help, they claim to have no record of charging me, even though the charge is clearly stated on my bank account. This hotel screwed me out of my money because they prioritized a group booking over my reservation and left me and several other wedding guests without hotel rooms, which usually wouldn't be a big deal but there aren't many accommodations nearby. I'm not saying not to stay here, but be careful with your credit card information.

We have stayed here for several years while visiting family in the area. Old owners lived on the premisis. The motel was well maintained and clean when the old owners lived there. New owner is an absentee owner with other rental properties. Had to ask for toilet paper and bath tissue. Finally bought my own at a local IGA. Also had to ask to have room cleaned after several days of it not being serviced. Advertised room rate was not the charged room rate (it was higher). Unfortunately it is the only motel in Darrington. Suggest getting a room in Arlington (about 30 miles west) instead. During the week there were few cars parked outside the motel at night.

Creative and cute rooms, much more spacious than motel 6 kind of rooms. The only one in town and probably the only place worth staying. Actual wooden furniture, cable tv, microwave and fridge. Owner is nice and service is fast. Would definitely recommend

The motor inn has a charming quality all its own. Nestled deep between the peaks of Washingtons finest Cascade mountians it sits quietly in the middle of the most charming forest. Rivers roll by this historic location all year round. The rooms are quaint and decorated with interesting art but they are clean and quiet. This is the place to stay if you need a room between all your hikes.

It was a good experience, the hotel room is kept clean, the bathroom although small was spotless and you get the basic amenities like on site coffee. Would go back for sure.

We were chased out of our campsite by a bear in the middle of the night. This was the closest hotel to us that was actually open. Guy working the night shift got us set up in a room even though it was about 1am at this point. Not a fancy or super nice place, but it was cheap, open, and exactly what you would expect from a motor inn in Darrington.

Ordered and payed for 1 room with 2 beds and when arrived they said no room with 2 beds, so had to order s second room for extra money. Not too happy, but they were the only game in town.

Adequate lodgings for being close to hiking, biking, kayaking activities. Decent sized room with small sink, microwave, and smaller than dorm sized refrigerator. IGA next door. Satellite TV.

I wish I had something positive to say about this hotel, but it was a terrible experience. We had reserved a room, but due to language barriers had trouble keeping the reservation. The bed had little support, was covered with a memory foam mattress. There were stickers peeling off the walls. The TV was undersized and the universal remote was not programmed. The worst part of the experience was that we ran out of toilet paper, I went to the office to request some more and was handed a used roll. Wi-Fi was out for nearly 1 whole day of the weekend (I don't blame the hotel for that though, its a small town, it happens) Only nice thing I can think of is that it was relatively clean, I did not see ants or other bugs. To anyone visiting Darrington, WA I suggest you make hotel accommodations in a neighboring town (such as Arlington) or bring a camper.
