Came in here for reptile rally to get their gargoyle gecko, sadly the employees don’t know much about them. Tried to sell me one with mites and unfortunately sold another one earlier who was in the same cage. If you bought a gargoyle gecko from this location on March 24th I hope you quarantine or get a return! At the very least I would expect these animals to have a notice or be pulled from the floor. Here’s a photo of one mite having a field day, I counted at least 6 before I had to walk away for the fear they were all around the enclosures. Don’t wanna bring any unwanted bugs home.

So I know that when taking care of a lot of animals that death is inevitable, but can’t you at least be attentive enough to clean up? Found these right next to the aquariums and with how decayed they were I wonder how long they’ve been there unnoticed.

The grooming department is terrible! If your dog just needs a bath and nail trim they are OK, but as groomers they are terrible!! We took our older Pomeranian to Petco Covington for a bath and trim because our regular groomer moved out of state. We had experienced a bad cut at this Petco before so we brought pictures (see below) of our dog groomed as we wished and were assured by staff they would NOT shave her again. The second picture says it all. They shaved her! What is even worse is it is uneven and down to bare skin in places. I took her in at 10am and was told it would take 3-4 hours. I got a call at 4pm that it was taking a little longer. The next call I received was at 6:30pm from the store manager asking me to pick up the dog because they were closing. When we arrived they brought her out. She was traumatized, shaking and she smelled horrible of urine and God knows what else. Needless to say we will never use Petco grooming services again!UpdateI was immediately contacted by management after my posted review. I met with them and explained the situation. They were very apologetic for what happened. They refunded my payment in full and offered a free grooming with a different groomer.They said that they will take steps to improve the quality of the grooming department and the communication.

I went in to buy and ask a question about my fish, and how much I should be feeding himBrittany who was cleaning & stocking some baby snakes came to my rescue on answering all my questions. She has help me before and she knows her job. Thank you young lady for always helping me out. Covington store was awesome and much better than the Kent store. The Kent store was dirty & nothing was stocked, and there was nobody around, except for the cash register standing there. So I left and went to the Covington store.

The guy up front didn't seem like he wanted to answer any questions or help me but my oh my the worker that approached me while I was down a dog food aisle would not leave me alone. He followed me everywhere and was overly persistent. I'm sure his intentions were to help but it was definitely too much. Anyways.... They didn't have any rain jackets for large dogs... Thats all I got as my experience here was very brief.

We often shop for dog food and other dog specific things here, but the grooming is hands down one of the best we've ever used for our pup. We love this Petco location, all employees are always friendly and nice.

I'm giving a low review because of the location of this store and set up of Petco in general. As I pulled up to this location I saw a small dog run out of the store using the automatic opening doors, something set them off to open. The dog then ran across the parking lot, into the street and was immediately hit by a car. Automatic doors and a pet store on a really busy road is a huge mistake.

We have been taking are Golden Doddle to Petco for grooming over a year now & we still haven’t got a good grooming session out of this place. I am never going to this place again. I am not sure if they look at their notes what has done on a previous visit. They have done such a hack job. It seriously feels that there are interns working there.

Went for a dog hair trim for my mom's dog, the groomers behind the desk were all very friendly, after I left the dog with them, I went and looked at all the fish. It was an enjoyable time!

Really disappointed with how the cashier and groomer spoke with me when looking for a product for my skin sensitive dog. They were dismissive and unhelpful stating that the product I needed requires a prescription and they dont carry the product but when you go on the website it states that its AVAILABLE in store and its the number 1 NON PRESCRIPTION medicated soap veterinarians recommend. I bought my soap from PetSmart instead. It would have just been nice to be treated with the same kindness I showed them.

I often shop here but today I wanted to try a different dry food for my pups so I ask Adam the cashier I told him I was interested in buying this bag of food do you know if it has grain and he toss the bag around and said for me to look for myself for the ingredients not even petsmart treats me like that when I have a question I also ask for a price match which he also didn’t do so I had to order online to get that price

As a goldfish owner (who's fish lived happily for 12 years) saying I can't get a new fish because they need to go to a "good home" is ridiculous. They want you to have a 100 gallon tank or something to sell you a fish. Your loss of business. I got my fish somewhere else and my new fish is thriving and living happily. I will never shop at this store for anything. Bad business and very judgemental workers.

I went to go to my 430 appt at grooming just to see that they cancelled all appointments for that week/weekend and no one emailed or called me. They were supposed to be open and back on Monday, 11/21 and still no one has reached out to reschedule. Yes, I even left my number in person and spoke to someone who was going to reach out..

Bought two bettas here, was told they had iffy importers, tried anyway. Bad idea, 1 year into owning these fish, one now has cancer, and i will have to put him down, and another has swim bladder disease. Mind you i own 20 perfectly healthy bettas, who are now going on 5 years old, these are the only two i had problems with. Bought the other 18 all from midway fish and pet. Go there, they import from private breeders, and care about the health and genetics of their fish.
