My first and last experience at this store was atrocious. If you are plus size and any shade other than white you will not enjoy this store. The employees give eye rolls and attitudes when you ask a question. The only kind employee was at the register. I have money but dress humbly and to be made feel inferior when I just wanted to do some shopping on a trip is very disheartening. I chose to take my business elsewhere. There is a lot of judgment and feeling looked down upon. Customers keep the doors open not snobby employees. The owner needs to retrain them on how to treat EVERYONE equally and not discriminate.

Such a great place in Coupeville. My sister ordered a Charcuterie goodie bag for me over the phone from out of town. I was delighted with the choices they picked out and the presentation! Will definitely be back. Oh an their signature cookies are amazing!

This is my go to store for wine, gourmet cheese, pizza dough, olive oil……… and a host of specialty food items.There are so many good things about this fabulous deli! It is a Central Whidbey must stop destination if you love good food and wine.

This place is so good you will seek out Coupeville just to go here. Stunning sandwiches, amazing wine and snacks, and a wonderfully friendly staff. There is nothing better in life than sitting in the patio at Bayleaf, drinking a cold glass of white wine and eating a French ham and Brie sandwich

What a fabulous experience! On a Saturday afternoon the view from the outdoor patio is serene and interesting; it's a great place to people-watch and view the natural beauty of the PNW. Beth is knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating.We ordered two of the sandwiches, some antipasto and a bottle of wine. (I loved when my friend said, "Do you have any green wine?" "Yes, we do!" "Is it chilled?" "Sure is!" - Beth = rock star!) The sandwiches (my friend and I exchanged halves) were delicious and well-balanced in the flavors and textures.The store has a great selection of sweet and savory food, different entertaining items and a fabulous selection of wines. My only regret is that I hadn't come to this store sooner! We'll definitely be back! 😃

What a great place to kick back and enjoy fantastic Wine and Food before or after a day of hanging out in beautiful Whidbey and the area. They have a huge variety of food and wine. In addition, Beth and her staff are fabulous people. Friendly and very knowledgable. Dia (Might be spelled wrong) is fantastic. The boards they serve to just sit outside the shop and feast go so well with any wine you may choose. A great cheese and meat selection are available in addition to great bread, gifts and ambiance. We look forward to going back there sometime. If in Coupeville, you must go to Bayleaf and grab something. And while there, don't forget to say hi to Beth and Staff!

I would live in this shop if they'd let me. Gourmet cheese. Delicious and curious asundries to have with the gourmet cheese. And wine...all the wine. Everyone in the place is knowledgeable and friendly. You can even buy a few things and enjoy them right then & there on an adorable patio. Swoon!

Not only is this my first choice for wine, but also for all things cheese board and charcuterie! This shop is filled with delectable treasures and excellent customer service. Beth is an expert at picking out the perfect wine for any price point or occasion and the selection of cheese is mouth-watering. I have sent countless gift boxes to people and every one has been a success and a delight to the recipients. Beth puts these gift boxes together with such care and consideration, they're worth every penny!

Customer service is top notch! 👌 I came in to put together some goodies for my sister's birthday and I must have looked like a deer in headlights. I'm sorry I didn't catch the lady's name, but I had the sweetest lady put together a whole basket for me based on my price point. I will definitely shop here again!

Seemed to have a good selection of wines. Limited menu for food. Can't recommend the "mixed greens"... the greens were very coarse and mostly inedible. The charcuterie board was very good.

Local wine and cheese shop with many delicious foodie items and a few household gems. Thursday's they do a fairly inexpensive tasting with a nosh. Can get crowded, but their wine selection is just great, as is the staff knowledgeable.

Our daughter with special needs was getting bored and trying.to.leave without us. The lovely woman at the till tempted her back in to try a "Salty Blonde" cookie (delicious) all while helping us find craft ciders. Amazing, friendly service and an epic product selection of fine deli items, cheeses and wines! We'll be back on our next visit to Coupeville!

I'm biased. I love this place and the owner is a friend. But if you're looking for wine, be careful, I one time asked for a French style Chardonnay, (I knew enough just to be dangerous and that the French often don't use as much oak as we Americans) and Beth asked me which appellation I wanted. Gulp...Of course I gave her that blank look of someone who doesn't know what they're doing. And after a short discussion, she of course found me the exact thing I was looking for.That is a very small portion of the delights that you can find at her store. Think DeLaurenti's with more personal help.

Love, love, love this place! My partner and I just moved here from NYC and we liken Bayleaf to a little Eataly with its fabulous assortment of cheeses, wines & specialty items. We were even able to special order our favorite Greek cheese (kefalograviera) that we couldn't find anywhere on Whidbey Island. We also just taste tested some imported olive oils and found one with the perfect peppery finish. The selection is fabulous and so are the lovely team of humans that work there. Highly recommend!

Not just a wine shop but an awesome place to stop for lunch al fresco on the way to or from the Coupeville ferry. Wonderful, fresh sandwiches, cheese places, and charcuterie. Dog-friendly too. Less touristy than many of the other places in town and worth a stop.

If you're a food or wine nerd, this is your place. Shelves stocked with gourmet pantry items (both imported and local) - a lot of stuff I've rarely seen elsewhere - wine, cheese, charcuterie. I wanted to buy everything in the store, but alas, settled for some chocolate with sesame and lemon verjus filling (I'm telling you, fancy!)Also bought some sandwiches - they're not super big, but the bread and fillings were quality and were very tasty (although if it's later in the day, these might not be on offer). They also had a picnic plate I really want to try next time around. A pearl in little ol' Coupeville - can not wait to come back!
