An impressive sight to see. I was surprised the tours were free and there is a laser light show on the dam every night which was pretty cool as well. There is a large and very nice picnic area at the base of the dam as well which is a good place to BBQ and let the kids run.

Nice running or walking trail and very scenic. Lots of public park areas. I hear there's a cool laser show shown on the wall of the dam during the summer and on the 4th of July!

Spectacular, great park and campground. I was just there 6.8 2020 and the campground and park are gated closed,no sign if when to open. There is plenty if beach around so you can still enjoy the area. This is the Keller Ferry area just outside the park

Fort Spokane campground sites are very open with little privacy--no shrubs, few trees. Our site had only 2 ponderosa pines, far apart. But if you're mainly on your boat or kayak all day, no big deal. Good roads for kids to bike and stay nearby. Walk-down paddle launch and 2 docks at campground, which were good. Very steep walk down, however, when water level is low, which would be difficult or impossible for people with mobility issues. Too bad there isn't a better beach for swimming, playing in sand. Too rocky here. But if you head up the Spokane River there are plenty of primitive sandy beaches, when water level is low enough; same with the lake, though you will need to motor further north.

I mean it's the biggest dam in the world. I mean damn it's big. It's a damned fine structure. It's a damn nice park. I mean damn you should really visit this place.

Lake Roosevelt National Recreation Area is very long, encompassing Lake Roosevelt. Lake Roosevelt is an impoundment of the Columbia River behind one of the major landmark reclamation projects of the 1930s: the Grand Coulee Dam and power station. A large bust of Franklin D. Roosevelt gazes across the impoundment from the vantage point above the Dam.

Heaven on earth right here.We absolutely love visiting the Dam and the lake each year. The fireworks display on the 4th is AMAZING! Thank you for putting this on!The parks are all well maintained- clean- and beautiful. Lots of education and the Dam itself is mind boggling!

Been coming here for 40+ years. A very underappreciated part of the state but fine with me and other locals because it means less boat traffic and better ski water! Sandy beaches everywhere!

This natural area has beautiful views and had different trails to walk. The water was low when we recently visited, so the dock was beached. There is no soap in the bathrooms.

The scale of engineering is impressive and the visitors center for the dam is very informative. Suggest you stop by if your in central Washington.

Grear place to hang out! I grew up in the Coulee and have spent most of my summers on this river. Spring Canyon is an amazing place for family reunions, birthday party's or just a good time.

This was a gorgeous Park. The beaches were wonderful the water was not too cold but not too hot, and my favorite part was that they had a jump off for the kids. If you're into water activities, boating, or just want to sit and watch the sun rise and set in a beautiful area this is a really great place to be. The walking paths weren't that great unless you like uphill a lot, but if you like to walk or run a beach this is also a great place to be.

Spent an awesome 4th of July weekend here. The water was perfect and the weather was nice. Ton of boats and people around, but the lake is big enough to find your own private beach and enjoy the day. Fishing was good and the activities around the area that weekend were wonderful. The fireworks from the Spokane Reservation were great!

This is a really beautiful drive. I'm sure people do water sports and fishing on Lake Roosevelt, but I'm not usually doing all that. Just enjoying myself and taking pictures. I hear that the camp grounds are wonderful. They may be crowded during the holidays though!

Actually at Crescent Bay. Would have been perfect if some peoples kids had manners and understood some people come for peace and relaxation. Not, to hear them yell constantly.Usually its not so loud.On average, I love coming here for some tranquility.Today was the exception. But, cant fault the location for children with parents who dont teach about respecting others needs too.

Absolutely beautiful lake. Be careful hiking in remote areas as there are underground wasps and they are Very aggressive if you accidentally step on their hive. They are very good at disquising as natural landscape.

Beautiful and fun lake weather your fishing or family recreation . Been coming here since the early 90s. I have a place here now that I'm retired. When we enjoyed water sports seemed like we could always find flat water. The kids loved coming up every summer several times for 10 days at a time. Always wildlife to see each day. Fishing is good from bank or boat. Silvers or land locked salmon are the price catch. My biggest 6lbs 22" the meat is solo cup red and delicious cooked anyway. And the trout is red meat also walleye are usually abundant.
