Visited on a weekday in November and basically had the place to ourselves. Looks like it gets busy in the summer. Lots of cabins and RV sites. No dispersed camping. Very interesting to view from the observation area on the highway. If you have a Forester or better you can make it down any of the roads within the park.

When I was a child, my family drove right past this natural wonder every summer... without ever stopping! Mom and dad, why, oh why didn't we stop to see Dry Falls?! Simply one of the most astounding displays of nature I have ever seen. Standing there with the realization that only 15,000 years ago, that very spot was under a raging torrent of water more than 400 feet deep with another 400 foot drop for the falls. Just amazing! A must see!

The views are spectacular. The museum wasn't open (too early) when we stopped, but from peeking in the windows I want to come back and learn about the history of the area. No play ground, but there is a picnic area and a pet area. Restrooms were open.

This is a really cool State Park. I would love to come back again and bring my kayak and maybe even do some camping. My friend and I did some exploring but there is so much to explore when I return.Above Dry Falls in a Lookout and a museum so don't forget to check those out also.

The stop came highly recommended from an RV park owner in Wilbur. I'm so glad I stopped just reading about the Dry Falls and seeing it from a Lookout Point was well worth the stop. I wrote on to Leavenworth and Beyond and the scenery was breathtaking. There were desert lake Canyons and as you moved on the water became more prominent the vegetation more green and Lush and smaller campgrounds turned into larger towns and cities. Loved it!

Fantastic place to stop off and visit! Very interesting place! Spectacular views of the erosion left from the world’s oldest and largest prehistoric falls. This is a must-see if you’re headed towards Grand Coulee Dam. The attraction provides excellent information about the area and event. Stop in and stay a while! Cannot recommend it enough!

Now it’s on the list as one of my favorite places! This place is amazing from anywhere on the rim to the basin. We camped in rv but there were so many campers in tents… and out in the water and on the island of Sun lake was covered with people. We, however, went further in to explore the smaller pond-like lakes where the wildlife/critters including so many species of dragonflies.

This was a cool place to stop and explore. It had some great history and visual boards. We were there early evening not a lot of people, and the interpretive center was closed.Would love to go back when the food places and center are open to get more of a real feel experience. Unless in the center there is no restroom, but if you go down the hill, there is a rest stop a few miles down the road.

I have camped all over this country and came here for 3 nights to visit the area. The mosquitos were terrible in late May but it’s a great spot. The visitor center is easy to get to and has excellent views. The campground is busy and sometimes noisy but beautiful. The road to dry lake is awesome, do it if your car can handle the road.

The history on Dry Falls was so interesting. And what a beautiful site. You can view it from above and visit the visitors center to learn how the falls were formed. You and also drive or hike down into the bottom which is very beautiful. We'll worth visiting.

This is one of our favorite places to hike in the late winter and spring when the snow in the mountains is melting and it's mud season in the valleys. Chances are you can still find clear trails and good hiking at Sun Lakes. In summer, bring a kayak and boat the length of Deep Lake, or hike around Umatilla Rock almost any time of year. It's well worth taking a detour to this remote location.Restrooms: The cstate park ampground keeps at least one restroom open year round.Dog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed on leash.

Awesome park for spending time with family or large groups for bday parties. Go swimming, fishing, or hiking here. You will not get board at this park. If you feel like staying longer, there are spots for camping or a resort a minute away from there. Golf corse is also around that areaPlayground: It's a small play ground but fair enough for the kids. It's still a fun one I'd sayRestrooms: There are plenty of restrooms there. This park is not small. Restrooms are in different locationsDog-friendliness: Dogs are allowed there. There are signs that mention to clean up after dogsPicnic area: Plenty of picnic spots with barbecue grills right next to them. No fire restrictions for the grills when I was there in late Jully.

A beautiful setting with breathtaking views in E. WA. The RV sites were exceptionally accommodating. The trails were nice (but have a bit of overgrowth). The lake's beach was nice. No cell or internet service. Overall one of the nicest state parks.Restrooms: Very nice facilities.

This was a nice and very scenic stop. The visitor center is small, but doesn't feel cramped. The state park staff was really friendly and even enthusiastic. There are a lot of opportunities for some gorgeous (no pun intended) views, both in the center and outside. Restrooms are modest, but clean, on the ground level. There is food at an attached trailer. They don't have sandwiches anymore (shucks) but do offer hot dogs, hummus boxes, and a lot of snacks and cafe type fare (like an amazing blueberry muffin she warmed up for me). While there is disability parking and access to the outside views, I didn't see an accessible way into the visitor center. I had to climb stairs to get inside. Maybe I just missed it, but it would be quite unfortunate if it lacked access, especially on days of tough weather.

Great place to go fishing. Very easy walking for shore fishing or bring a small boat!Might be windy. But it is still beautiful. They have plenty of boats to rent, grass fields to play in and a great little mini golf course.

A beautiful lake nestled into tall bluffs. Swimming and boating are king, but other activities are available if you need a break from the water.

Wow wow wow! I don't even know what to say about this place. It's so grand it's hard to take it all in. The ancient dry falls are MASSIVE and impressive. There is a visitors center but we got there 30 minutes after it closed. We definitely plan on coming back during open hours.

Sunlakes is a beautiful campground with lots to offer both over 55 and families as well. We had a wonderful stay with friends and it was very dog friendly. The cabins by the lake are adorable and we plan to book into one someday. The pool looked delightful, although we didn't go in it plenty of people were making use of the pool. The miniature golf course is really awesome! We ate fish and chips one evening for our super at the snack bar and our milk shakes topped off a fun dinner experience. This park had so many more amenities than we were expecting. I'm not going to lie, the wind blows....a lot, but we quickly got used to it. All in all it was a fabulous campout and we will definitely return.

This is a worthwhile stop to learn about the area and the land formations. There are restrooms and (very pricey) food trucks. The view is spectacular. Don't waste your quarters on the telescopes. They don't actually magnify.

Always wanted to see this stark reminder of the incredible floods that happened here. Accessible restrooms under the visitors center. Picnic tables in the shade of trees are available.

When I drive by this place, it brings back memories from the 60's-70's-80's.. all the wonderful times my family and I had there . We would swim and play games, and of course, the barbecues ,hamburgers, and hot dogs . And when fishing season opened up we would fish along the lakes.. it really hasn't changed much in 60 years . It looked like some of the lakes were low. I don't know if that from drought or not .

Awesome natural landscape in Washington state. You can almost imagine the ancient falls cascading over the rocks. Beautiful!

When we first heard about this park, it was hard to picture what would be attractive about a waterfall without any water. But once you get to see this geology lesson in person, it's easy to consider this a must-see if you're in the area. The visitor center has great informative panels, 3D representations of what you're looking at, and friendly, helpful staff.
