Quite possibly my favorite restaurant in southwest Washington. Definitely in my top three. They have the best fish and chips I have ever had. Their burgers are very good and their fries are more like a mix of jo-jo’s and fries and they’re delicious. Every time I’ve come here it’s been an incredible experience. The food is so good, Service is awesome, the owner is super cool, and the prices are fair for an out of town restaurant. I will continue to frequent this place when I’m in the area.

Enjoyed eating here. First time though have been past it several times. This joint sits right next to the hwy so expect some noise (though speed limit is like 30mph)The food was good. I had no complaints. I was recommended a sandwich to try and I was not disappointed.The 3 stars was because if one major issue and it was with the service. There were 5 in our group and we constantly had to ask to have our drinks refilled. Not just once but several times and when it kept happening we just gave up and left. Filling drinks is about the most basic and fundamental tenant of waiting tables. It was sad that the good food couldn't have been compliments by good drinks.

Came on a Saturday evening after the st Helens summit. This is one of the nearest places to the trail head so we stopped for dinner and was very happy by the choice.l. We tried the grilled chicken burger, bacon cheese burger and volcano burger. The volcano burger was the best among them, with double patty this was what we needed 😊. We also got some jalapeno poppers which were okay. We wanted to try the eruption but they were sold out. Now all the burgers were really good, tasty and the side of clam chowder was also pretty decent.

Great place great food and awesome service stopped in with kids after a long day hiking and was really hungry when we were drawn in by the sign outside any place that doesn’t support Biden gets a chance with me! But on food it’s good quality and taste. Kids cheese burger was decent size and fresh fries.

Great time. Great food and friendly service. I believe they have a sign that says something like "warning: terrible service, but good food" or something like that. I think given the logistics of being so far away from town and also the influx of turism from the Ape Caves, the place can probably get busy and overwhelmed at times. Just have some patience and understanding. We honestly had great service and the food was great. Good times.

my landlord introduced me to this place and I am so glad he did. The price is on par with Burger Ville prices but oh so much better tasting. I had the patty melt and I must say it was perfectly prepared. Meat to bread ratio was spot on and it needed NO condiments. In my opinion, if something as simple as a hamburger needs "extra" flavor, it isn't made right. The bread was quite tasty and perfectly grilled, crispy without being hard and the fries were quite good if a bit different, they are spiral cut wedges and are crispy on the outside while tender on the inside. Spent $50 on 2 burgers and 2 beers plus tip and it was well worth it. Will go here instead of BV.It is a Country spot so don't expect artsy fartsy stuff. Decorations are some mounted heads and a beautifully done stalking mountain lion, the taxidermy is as well done as their food. Simple wood tables, stools and chairs with a few tvs scattered among the Country signs like "I love deer and beer". This is a very simple comfort food place that serves excellent food with a relaxed down home, small town charm. Service was excellent as well.

“Warm beer, terrible service” says the sign out front. Good thing we didn’t trust it! We found it to be the complete opposite. Cold beer, amazing service, and incredible food! Try the ape cave sandwich for a nice take on a grilled Turkey. The fries were amazing too, never had anything like them before, almost like fry wedges? Amazing!

Went there for lunch of the usual burger and fries. Burger was done up the way they should be and the fries were perfect.Prices were reasonable.The young lady that waited on us was friendly, gave us great service and made us feel at home.Pub looks to be the center for locals with a small lending library and as the theme in "Cheers" everybody knows your name.We will be sure to stop there when in the area.

Stopped by after hiking the ape caves, grew up near cougar and thought I'd see if they were still as friendly and great as I remembered. Went around 1:30 and ordered some beers with friends in the bar. After ordering, we watched food get served to 2 other couples who had shown up after we did. After waiting an hour and a half, we were told our order was next. They proceeded to bring out 2 more tables of food. They apologized saying they forgot to put in our order. When we chose just to pay for the drinks, they made us wait while they canceled the order since they were apparently working on it..... Despite "forgetting" to submit our order. Our server was incredibly nice and helpful, but wasn't always there. We did not get served food after an hour and a half and only were able to get 2 beers. Do not recommend eating here if you are not a regular in town. Food did look good though.

Great local restaurant right next to the Lone Fir Resort! They served delicious food with friendly service. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered including the burgers, chicken strip meal, fries, and homemade chili.Parking: I would guess at least 8 parking spots right on the side of the restaurant. Ample open parking spots during Sunday dinnertime.

I just loved the welcoming locals here. By far the best chicken fried steak, homemade soups and bloody marys EVER. Great service, decor and knowledge of the area. A quaint place with a sign that says "warm beer; lousy service" is usually great and this place did not disappoint. Family friendly. Will definitely go back. I accidentally deleted pics but there's plenty of other reviews!

Some of the best food I've had in a very very long time. I had the ape cave sandwich off the chart. We also had the garden burger. The chicken fried steak. Cheeseburger. Chicken tenders. All of that was wonderful. Somebody ordered the chicken sandwich and the piece of chicken was smaller than the tomato so I wouldn't recommend that one.Vegetarian options: Garden burger

The people here were very friendly. Quickly helped me get food and water after my summit at Helens. I was starving and could have eaten anything. Even so, the food was pretty mid. I would not go out of my way to eat here again unless I had to. The fries were a little underdone and the cougar burger was bland. Clutch location near the volcano though.

I was a bit sceptical when my husband pulled up at this restaurant but after I took the first bite of their cheeseburger I was sold! Best cheeseburger I've ever had!! Loved their wifi sign and their down home feel. I asked my husband to take me back for a date night!🙂
