Absolute gem. This place was great. Outdoor pool that is open year round along with free kayak rentals, outdoor barbeque area and a community fire pit. Rooms with full accommodations that can easily sleep six people. The beach is an easy 5 min walk from anywhere on the resort. Service that could not get any more friendly than it was. My eleven year old son and I cherished our three night stay and we will be back.

I love this place! Have been going there with my family since like 2013 and it never dissappints. Its affordable (even in these expensive times) always has really great pricing deals and offers. It is located in Ocean shores and is the perfect distance from the beach! The place has lots of amenities. The pool being the best one! The unit we always stay in is really nice. It unfortunately experiences a fire but that just meant it was due for an upgrade! The place has walking paths through the dunes where you can see wild life and they take you to a quiet more secluded part of the beach. Perfect for avoiding crowds! Each unit is really spacious and has a nice kitchen for basic cooking, a tv (and movies you can get from the front desk) never time to even consider being bored while you're staying at surfcrest. A great place to get away from it all and spend quality time with the family

Girls trip for my daughter and I. We were very comfortable here. Yes its dated but clean. Everything works including gas fireplace. Its about a 6 minute sandy walk out to the beach. There is no view of the beach from the rooms but it didn't disappoint. Queen bed was comfy. 2 bunk beds were tightly packed in, but my 18 year old slept in one and was fine. Must go up a spiral staircase to reach beds.Rooms: CozyNearby activities: 15 min drive into Ocean Shores.Walkability: 6 min walk to and from the beach. Not a smooth walk, somewhat difficult to get chairs to and from. But worth it once you get out there.

The perfect spot. Clean rooms, short jump to the beach, lots of dog and kid areas, and budget friendly.The pool was amazing. Everything was clean and lots of towels for guest use. Heated to 85 degrees means going back into the pool after the hot tub was easy.The staff were very kind to us throughout the stay. When I couldn't find something, they took the time to walk me there. I really care about customer service so the small things like this matter to me.There was an actual stove as well as microwave in my room that I thought was rad.Bunk bed for the boy in an area next to the main bedroom with a door meant we could sleep away from but near our kid and keep some privacy up.I've stayed in 3 different places in or near Ocean Shores and I've liked all of them. I have to pick this one for when we come back though.Rooms: Bed was near the sliding glass door on the second floor. I got to sleep looking up at stars. Beautiful.Nearby activities: It's a super short drive to town. Your door to the beach is quick. Made my wife and I laugh because we thought it would be an issue but it's like 8 minutes added to a trip.Safety: There's no foot traffic here from town. I felt very safe walking around.Noteworthy details: There are two child play structures and a sandbox.Heated pool, sauna, and BABY POOL.

First time here and we loved it. The office staff was very friendly and the check-in process was quick and smooth. The grounds were very clean as well as the pool area. There are kayaks you can use at the creek passing through the resort. The room themselves feel like a duplex (not a bad thing) on the first floor you have your living room, kitchen, dinning area and bathroom. Upstairs via a spiral staircase you have a set of bunk beds with a separate bedroom. Each with a closet and drawers. Beach is just a short 5 min walk and feels very private as there is no one. Definitely recommend this place. Will definitely come back!Only thing to keep in mind for those with mobility issues is the spiral staircase.

We absolutely loved our visit to the ocean at Surfcrest! Here are a few of our favorite things:1. The friendly service. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable.2. Super comfy pullout couch (slept two adults!)3. On-site amenities will keep you busy: kayaks, swimming pools, trails, fire pit, grills, lounge, ping pong, movies, the ocean and more!4. The electric fireplace was so cozy and warm5. Great location between Ocean Shores and Seabrook. Very quiet area, hardly anyone at the beach.6. Super clean rooms!We stayed for four nights in the middle of the week and it was so great!Highly recommend for a family getaway or special time with friends! We hear they are updating the resort in stages, too! Can't wait to see what they do!Make sure to bring slippers and slip on shoes for being outside - there are "stickers" in the grass outside that hurt!

I booked this place with a group of 4. We had so much fun and absolutely loved the place. I would maybe recommend some carpeting on the stairs. We had one person fall down the stairs trying to dodge kids and hurt her arm and the only other complaint was the goat heads behind our rooms. The kids were getting them stuck in their feet and they were tracked through all the rooms so we had to wear shoes the entire weekend. Other than that the rooms are cozy. The staff is very nice and accommodating. The kids had a ton of fun in the pool, on the play ground, on the ocean, and on the kayaks. Oh! And it was so relaxing falling asleep every night to the sound of the ocean from our balcony door.Nearby activities: Check out Roosevelt Beach if you get a chance. You can drive out of the beach and we found a ton of seashells.We also don't reccomend Green Lanter Pub for food if you have a large group.

My family and I really like this place. The only downside is the cleanliness of the room. Anyone would be able to see that it wasn't vacuumed as dog hair was everywhere from the previous tenants. On first inspection of the shower, there was man hair all over the shower pan, and it was still very wet. Other than that, it was really nice and felt like home away from home. There are a lot of pluses to this place. You can kayak and walk on the beach. This place could be so much more with a better dedicated cleaning staff. It's got an older feel, but that's kinda what we were looking for. Razor clam diggers specialty. That's why we were out on the coast, and this place lends a hand in that aspect. We will definitely be back. I just hope for a cleaner room on my next trip.

We stayed here over the weekend for our baby moon. The customer service was absolutely amazing, all staff members were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The room it’s self was charming and exactly what you’d expect for an older cabin by the sea. Mattress is definitely firm but was perfect for my sore, pregnant back.We loved the drive in and how out of the way the resort felt while only being 10 minutes from ocean shoresWe took full advantage of the pool, game room, and bonfire at night. We definitely plan on coming back in the future.

Excellent in every way, the reviews really are true. Too many great things about this place to list. Be aware that while everything is in top notch shape and very clean, it was built 40-50 yrs ago so is slightly dated in some ways - HOWEVER, IMO this does not detract in any way from the attraction to this place, and we will definitely make it our preferred choice of accommodations for the Ocean Shores area. Great value, quiet, many many amenities (try a canoe or kayak paddle on the creek!) Saturday night fire pit, excellent game room, etc etc etc Absolutely aces! Note: we thought the bed was awful to start with, very bouncy and springy, but we slept AMAZINGLY on it, it was very comfy and we were very happy with it after all! So give it a chance before you pass judgement :-)Note that because of the dunes and trees that have grown up, there is no view of the ocean from the units, not even upstairs - but it's a very short walk thru the many beautiful and peaceful trails in the dunes to the beach, so not an issue in the slightest. Don't be deterred by this!Also, clam cleaning station very well appointed, though could use additional lighting maybe. Awesome stay here!!

I would like to say I enjoyed my stay but my husband got called to work, the hotel was not booked at all but they refused to give me a refund. I could see if they could have rented it out and lost money but that wasn’t the case. We go to the ocean several times a month and I will not give them a second chance! It’s a family run business and you would think they could understand our situation. They lost a lot of money on our future trips. I should have known better than to try a new place. Live and learn. Make sure nothing unexpected happens, they just want your moneyTo the owners response. We tried canceling 24 hours before checking in. Not the day off. And your hotel was empty.

What a wonderful experience. The front desk people are so warm and friendly. This is so important when we visit hotels. The hotel itself is within walking distance and has a trail to the beach. Really nice entry into the village. There is a small game room, the pool is warm and big, and coffee provided in the lounge. Wifi is slow and spiral staircase will be an issue for those with mobility issues. Bathroom, however, is downstairs and sofabed was comfortable. Housekeeping was fantastic! Thank you.

This resort was excellent. We came here on new years eve because of a family emergency and the hospitality was perfect. Melody showed us where the pool was, where the hot tub and game room was. When we got to our room there was a personal note written for us with some confetti poppers to celebrate the new year. There is also a trail to the beach (it was a little flooded so just pack boots if you want to go) and they supply firewood to have bonfires too. Overall was an amazing place to stay.

Everything was great.I liked that the staff of the resort is very polite and helpful. We were told about new products, given a map with information about entertainment on the territory and a list of recommended restaurants.The rooms was clean, spacious and comfortable. I really liked everything very much. We've been here before and this is one of our favorite places. We'll definitely be back.

Locationis great. Mini condo type each unit is small but cute. Easy to access. Inside is 1st floor with kitchen, living room and bathroom. Spiral stairs lead to 2nd floor.Has one room with queen bed and right out side ( looks like space like isle) has bunk bed. Bunk bed space is very narrow and not a room, but it is okay for short stay. Room has electric fire place and it looks like it is the only heating source.Resort has outdoor heated pool and water gear like canoe and life jaket are avaible to use to guest.Beach is a 7-minute walk from the unit and had not many people, so it was nice.If you need a place close to the beach in this area, this place is a good place to choose for small families or couples.The con side of this place is that hot water was not hot enough. They can change the water temp a little up. And wifi is very weak. If you have an iPhone, you have to consider you don't use phone while there. Oh and tv is basically useless because of that reason.Cable is out of service, other channel like Netflix or hulu are not usable because wifi is too weak.Last thing they have to add blind on the bathroom window. It is non- transparent glass, but you can see the shape of a person blurry. There were two guys who tried to peek inside one time. After my hubby felt wrong, and open the door and chased them away. We think it was one of the guests who thought our unit had only two young girls, so they tried to do that. We were so upset and let the manager know about it. That window definitely need blind to cover it.Overall our stay was okay. Overnight stay was around $300/stay. Our family had a good memory. Staff was very nice. Such nice sunset and place is clean and equipped for basic stay include kitchenette.

Great place for a little weekend getaway. Cozy. Appreciate the kitchenette with basic supplies. (Don’t forget your seasoning and Pam!) Washroom was a little outdated, and hand soap would’ve been a nice addition.Pool is fun for adults and kids, hot tub gets very crowded during the cooler temps. 1 room upstairs with a double bed, and bunk beds in the adjacent space; the downstairs couch pulled out if you need it. Small tv, but big selection of DVDs you could rent from the front desk.Very nice staff.Game room had a pool table (missing 3 balls), an old arcade machine, and a decent selection of board games. If you drive into town, you probably won’t spend more than 20-30mins poking around: it’s a very small and sleepy town. Quick walk to the beach. BBQs on site and propane provided.Mar 2023

Surfcrest Resort is under new ownership/management and we were among the first guests to stay there after its reopening. (July 2022)The location is fantastic…on it’s own between Connor Creek and the ocean at Copalis Beach. You can walk right out the sliding door of your unit, follow a path, walk through the dunes and right onto the beach! Miles of pristine beach with very few people….and sometimes no one at all. Seabrook is about 8 miles north and Ocean Shores is about 5 miles south, so there are plenty of restaurants if you don’t want to cook all your meals in your unit.The Copalis Beach Grocery store (small but surprisingly well-stocked) is only two miles away and the IGA (with everything you would need) is in Ocean Shores only six miles away.The rooms are all the same. Not fancy, but cozy, extremely clean and fresh-smelling, and equipped with all the dishes, utensils, cookware and towels you need.The staff was friendly and clearly wanted to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.The pool/kiddie pool/jacuzzi area is wonderful and the clubhouse room has games and books.This place is perfect for singles, couples, families (and groups, if you rent more than one unit.)One caveat is that the bedrooms are both upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs. The floors are connected with a circular staircase which could be a problem for people with mobility issues. (We are in our 70’s and we did fine.)They are working to ready all 54 units for rental but the ongoing renovations did not intrude on the pristine atmosphere of the place.Surfcrest is dog friendly.We are looking forward to a return visit sometime in the fall.

Our stay here at the resort was a last minute staycation on New Year’s Eve. I must say staff here is very friendly and accommodating, melody and Britney thank you. Even the maintenance personnel was very friendly. heated pools, jacuzzis, sauna room and walking distance to the ocean. Pets are welcome with a small fee. Townhomes has refrigerator, stove/oven ,microwave ,toasters and a coffee maker. Gas fireplace easy to use when you need to warm up. Unit has some basic spatulas pots and pans but you would need to bring your own spices and delicious creations you want to make up for your family. On site parking right in front of your unit.Thank you again we will be back again. Kids and fur babies had lots of fun. Mahalos 🤙🏾
