I stayed for four days. It was awful ants in the bathroom, water heater was leaking on the floor, no pans to cook with, room is really dark. One lamp didn’t work, other needed a bulb. No table to eat at. Sand everywhere on the floors .Hairdryer fell off the wall and into the sink. It was full of water.The people working there are very nice. But whole place needs some someone to manage cabins to make sure the unit is ready for guests.

There's mold in multiple of the rooms, there was mice on the water heater in the club house, the floors are dusty, the hot tub is almost never on, and the bridge to the dunes is just a rickety old bridge that might fall apart if too many people walk on itRooms: Dusty and have black mold

Had a great time at the resort. We enjoyed the sauna, hot tub, and short walk to the beach! Other amenities included a pool table and workout facility with a view of the ocean. A budget friendly resort worthy of a visit!Nearby activities: Razor clamming is good on the beaches in the area. Surf perch fishing is great in the area.Noteworthy details: The resort has a nice razor clam and fish cleaning station on site.

Stayed at the beachwood For a couple of months off and on during the week while we were down there Working.. The staff is so friendly and caring.. Super clean rooms.. Ten out of ten I would highly recommend... Look forward to staying with them when we go back next year.Rooms: Very nice classy rooms for the price point.Nearby activities: ocean shores is just a short drive south.. What's the sea and lots to do.. Property is within walking distance of the beach.Safety: Set back off the roadway, quite a bit. Very quiet very secure very peaceful.

Kitchen is not fully stocked, there were only a few dishes and no frying pan. No hot pads so I burnt myself. Beds are horrible, totally outdated, like sleeping on the ground. Property looks good online , but in person it doesn’t even compare to the pictures. Desperately needs updating.Pool and hot tub area are weird. Hot tub is in in the middle of the ping pong table area, so a couple cannot go relax in the hot tub cause kids are running all over the game area. Dogs barking constantly, no one did a thing about it. Way overpriced for what it is. The water was brown! Totally discussing. I filled the bathtub and it looked like someone dumped a bucket of dirt in it!Total waste of money . Plus the staff doesn’t understand English well at all, I asked for a frying pan and she said “frying pan?” Like she had no clue what that was. I had to fully describe a frying pan.

Nice place. Spacious bungalow. However this place is listed as "pet friendly" and they aren't really. They might be dog friendly but the lady in the office gave us an attitude about my cat. My cat is an extremely well-behaved neutered male. She didn't seem to want to rent the room to us due to the cat. Oh and we booked through Priceline but then she ran the card again. My boyfriend is waiting to see his card statement to see how much he was actually charged. Be sure of the deal you're getting.

Clean, affordable, close to the beach.Condo was a bit sparse, but clean and well maintained. We had a lightbulb go out in the bathroom and it was fixed very quickly while we were out to breakfast. This is not going to be a “luxury” experience so adjust your expectations… too many reviews on here seemed to be expecting something much more fancy. As a Washingtonian, it was exactly what I remembered from my stays at the coast as a child: a bit dated, only the basics, and as close to the shore as possible. I will say if you are on the taller side, the shower head (at least in our condo) is a bit low, I am 5’10” and it was slightly painful trying to contort myself to wash my hair.The hot tub and sauna were a delightful bonus! The communal spaces were all pretty cool actually. They have nice cleaning stations set up for any clamming you get up to as well which was great.We had a wonderful stay and will likely visit again in the future!

This is a good place to crash while exploring the nearby beach from its private beach access. The rooms are simple; the resort is just big enough. They really need mesh wi-fi routers, as their Internet is unreliable and spotty - be prepared to be offline (or on cell data) most of the time.Walkability: Straight trail to the beach, including a narrow floating bridge over a stream.

We stayed for a week, it was awesome! Very nice people, nice cabins, beautiful location. Great amenities, and they're installing more! We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, they're installing a new sauna, they have a pool table! We really enjoyed playing pool, and hanging out in the recreation room. It was an awesome vacation, we look forward to going back next year!

Great place within walking distance to the beach. Fun old bridge you cross to get out there. Great family vacation spot with a playground, pool, hot top, sauna, game room. Feels like a place I would have gone to with my parents as a child. Plus they have specific rooms set up for dogs, so I definitely plan to come back with my fur babies.

Can’t be on the lawn due to goat head thorns. Wifi doesn’t work. Bridge to the beach is sketchy. Hot tub didn’t work and water was murky. Sand in the beds. Exercise equipment didn’t work. Was probably picked up from the side of the road somewhere and placed to make it more photogenic.Safety: Thorns in the lawn.

This was our first time staying on the Olympic Peninsula and this quaint little Beach Resort. We stayed at the unit at the very Corner closest to the woods. The rooms were very nice, cozy and clean. Fire pit outside was a lot of fun, especially for the kids when they made their s'mores. There's a playground my little three-year-old got to really enjoy when we were not at the beach razor clamming. The walk to the beach was long but fun as you walk through a trail along the beach sand dunes, vegetation, even over a floating bridge that crosses a Little creek. The distance made a big difference blocking the crazy wind we started to experience. The exercise room was nice and clean and you can actually see the beach water from the windows. We drank our coffee there in the morning on our last day. The owner and staff were nice and friendly. There really isn't anything negative to mention. Odd thing, the hot water was kind of orange but the cold water was fine leading me to guess that the hot water heater insides were rusted. Probably due to Oodles of salt. We'll be glad to stay again next time we come this way.

We had stayed here before and loved it, years ago. But this time it was appalling. There weren’t enough items in the kitchen provided to have an actual meal. We had to ask for a can opener and nobody would answer at the desk. Finally they came and told me there was one in the room. But gave us one anyways. The pan we tried to use fell apart and the stove tops smoked when we started cooking. The smoke detectors started going off. The bathroom toilet wasn’t properly installed and it moved and made a loud noise when you sat on it. The room smelled like wet dog. The bathroom also had mold on the ceilings and the bathroom door was filthy. The bedroom was the worst part. I didn’t even feel comfortable sleeping in it. The floor was stained in every area. It was moist and sticky everywhere. The heater barely put out any heat. The closet had nasty black mold along the floor boards and the walls. We will not be staying here again. And I will not continue recommending this place to friends and family. This room is a health hazard.

I reserved a 2br room several days ago for myself and my son for Mother's Day. the day before our reservation I received an email and a text saying they canceled my "King room" reservation. I called and emailed and texted for hours (hoping there was some sort of mistake) and they would not answer me. Eventually someone called me back, and she had zero sympathy, she just said "well sorry we overbooked". Now we are left with nowhere to stay and our Mother's Day weekend plans are ruined. I have checked every hotel and resort up and down the Washington Coast and no one has any availability because it is a holiday weekend. I am so disappointed. Anywhere else I have ever stayed that made a huge mistake like this would try to remedy the situation. They would use their connections and help us find somewhere else, at the very least. But the owner/manager at the Beachwood could not care less. Do NOT make a reservation for this place, they might not honor it and you will be left with nowhere to stay.

The host of the condos is really nice, the condo and property were clean. Dog friendly. I wish people couldn’t smoke cigarettes on the patios. Got smoked out by my neighbor and had to close my door. There is no AC and the condo gets pretty stuffy. The beds are very firm and springy so I slept on the couch for the 2 days we were there. The beach is a long walk down and isn’t that nice. The pool was clean.

Positives: condos are spacious, rec area is nice. They have a pool table, ping pong, pool, and hot tub. Balls were missing for the pool table though and the hot tub was WAY too hot.Negatives: called to reserve in advance for an “ocean view” room. There aren’t actually any rooms you can see the ocean from. Was told I’d be charged $230 plus tax. I get there and they didn’t have me in the system, gave me a completely different room than the one I booked. Got charged $290 ($323 after tax). Tried to tell reception that I was told I would be charged $230, she didn’t help me, said someone would call me within two days to fix it. No one did. I called them the third and they walked around everything I said and did not give me my money back.They have a “gym” - like three machines that don’t actually work. The WiFi is horrible. There were belongings from the previous people left in our condo so I feel like it wasn’t even cleaned properly before we went in. The bathroom had patches on the walls where it looked decayed. Lights were burnt out in the bedroom.I do not recommend.

The first bad experience was the beds. The two nights there almost killed me. I couldn't walk for 3 days after. I was crippled. I thought that staff was friendly but never in the office. We had to wait hours for service. After checking out we discovered that we had been charged for an extra night. When I contacted staff I was told that I would have to wait days for her to even check on the cost difference because she was in Seattle. A few days, and another message to office staff, I received another response that they would check. Still no word from them. So, here I am this morning, salty. For what we paid we could've stayed in a 5 star resort. Also, it might be important to add that things are cheaply and poorly put together there. Nothing was upgraded at all and it appeared that all the linens, towels, and things to use in the room were very very old or bought at thrift. So, not worth it. There are other places to stay that you can have a quality experience. Especially for the $450 a night charge we paid! Might be noteworthy that I've never written a review for anything but I felt others should be warned.

The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Our child got sick and we had to leave 1 day early and they provided a full refund of the last night, which was awesome. The apartment was clean and walk distance from the beach. We had a lot of fun in the pool and hot tub. They also have a huge selection of DVDs for the rainy days. Will definitely come back!

My family of 5 loved it!! This place is great for families. They have it all, a playground for my small kids, nice swimming pool, and rec room with a ping pong table, pool table, and games. The 5 min walk to the beach was beautiful and fun. The room was clean and comfortable, the beds were amazing and I slept great. Like others mentioned, the furniture is a little dated, but I like that with small children, I don't have to worry about them ruining some expensive pieces or decorations.The Staff is literally the best part of this place. Everyone we enteracted with was so nice and helpful. They have everything you need,and forget to bring. My son fell and scraped his knee, the lady at the front desk gave me Neosporin and bandaids. She was so concerned, like they were very her own family. They even had cookies for my boys. We were so sad we had to leave and go home. Already planning for when we can book again, hopefully soon.😁

What a lovely beach getaway! The front office lady was very kind upon our arrival and our room felt very homey and comfortable. Also clean! The kitchen had all the amenities you need to cook. The room had an electric fireplace which was so cozy. Super close walk to the private beach and great opportunity to go clamming without the busyness of the public beaches. Would come again and again!!

We had a good stay. The place is a bit tired and the furniture is a bit worn. It was clean and we were able to have our dog with us. It's close to a great beach. There is plenty of parking and the staff is excellent. We didn't use any of other facilities offered. It's a good value.

We stayed here during Labor Day Weekend. The staff was very polite and helpful. We felt very comfortable. We loved the pool, game room and short walk to the beach.While there I lost my phone. I was very impressed with their communication and updates on where my phone was. They looked in all of the areas I thought it would be, but wasn't found. They even posted signs to say a guest had lost their phone and if found, to please turn it in. After I thought it was gone forever, they called and said a guest had found it on the beach. They mailed it back, bubble wrapped and didn't charge for me the postage. This says a lot about how they care about their guests. We will definitely be booking another vacation at Beach Wood Resort. Thank you!

This resort (mostly fairly basic cabins) is a short walk to the beach, and well located near local stores. They still have spotty Internet, so be prepared to be out of service. This resort would benefit from installing a mesh network.Rooms: The rooms are basic accommodations so you can go do something else.

This is a nice family owned business. Friendly and very accommodating. They want to please. They also offer: ping pong table, pool table (1 ball missing, lol), assorted board games, TV, big round open indoor barbeque, plenty of room to relaxant outdoor horseshoe pit!

The owner Jane is very sweet.Definitely some challenges dealing with her leased tenants.We decided to make the best of our stay regardless of a couple of bad occupants.We had a bonfire, enjoyed the beach. One day was raining and cold so instead of the beach we shopped the little stores and had take out food.There is some upkeep the Beach Wood Resort needs.The bridge crossing over the creek is in serious need of repair. Serious. The slates are rotted and broken.The grounds need a crew to come in and clean, weed and tidy.The property has beautiful potential. The owner is fantastic and is doing her best to tick things off her list of things needing updates.The resort is not a 4 star place but it's a great place to let the kids run through the play ground, run and play on the beach.Go have fun and if you have a teenager...spotty cell service so they actually have to talk to you.

We had a great long weekend with our teen and old dog who got to chase sandpipers. The owners were helpful and let us check in early. We were concerned about some reviews regarding pet fees, so called to clarify charges ahead of time, which were accurate on our final billing. A nice clubhouse with pool and darts and toys. Our unit had some quirks but nothing that detracted from a lovely stay. Due to location out of town, cell and internet spotty if you need to work. The trail and beach were awesome-don't let other reviews worry you. If you are up for a short walk the setting is perfect. Beautiful stars at night on low tide!

My wife and I stayed here during the week, and let me say it was fantastic! The accommodations were clean and well stocked, the fire place worked well and the staff were very polite and responsive to our needs. The hot tub and rec room was awesome too! This location has beach access and the beach was great there wasn't a single person in sight. So we enjoyed the beach all to ourselves, we saw an eagles up close and fishing boats out in the distance! I we will definitely be back, as they understand how the details make all the difference, Thank you so much for your friendly hospitality.
