Came in with a friend who highly recommended this place, but hadn't been in a while. This store was gross. Empty tanks were stacked up and most shelves were dusty and cluttered. The fish walls had several tanks that were empty and in various stages of disrepair. Most tanks were overrun with algae or had dirty looking water that would make me afraid of purchasing something to bring back to my home aquariums. The worst part was seeing several dead fish and skull and bones of another sucked up against the sponge filter. We left without making a purchase and my friend keeps talking about how sad the visit made him because the store used to be great.

Fish looked very healthy and had a great selection of chiclids. Was well priced and also was given in store credit. The owner of the store seemed very knowledgeable about his fish and passionate about his job! Will be coming back for our aquatic needs :)

Hands down the best local fish store I've visited. The gentleman who owns the store is very knowledgeable and helpful. The store is a little bit messy and looks over packed with fish tanks but that's kind of what I like about it lots of variety and he even has his own reward program if you buy fish.

This is a small town fish store with lots to choose from. Owner is knowledgeable & very kind person. I have been to other fish stores where owners makes me feel stupid when I have questions, so I appreciate the help and kindness from this owner. One day when I was visiting here- an owner of a fish store in the Seattle area was buying cichlids to take to sell in his store :-) Huge selection of fish-especially cichlids. There are many tanks in this cozy little fish store!

I've been coming here off and on for the last 3 years. I would give them a 4 star rating before but They have very poor quality of fish and not a good selection of fish. too much money for what they have in stock And customer quality stinks very bad. If you need to do business talk to the owner in the store in person. Young man in the store is very rude and unprofessional yelling at customerI will not do business in the store ever again don't waste your time and money here.

Jim is simply amazing. Very knowledgeable and friendly. All the fish that I purchased for my 55 gallon tank were very healthy. I will never go anywhere else for fish!

Jim is a very kind and knowledgeable man. He did not even know me but once he found out that I was a teacher and trying to set up an interesting classroom, he immediately offered to help support me in my effort. He has many fish and takes good care of them! Odd little, delightful store! Not what you'd find in a plastic mall.

I have been shopping at the Conway Tropical Fish Store since the day they have opened. I have learned over the years that the best Fish stores are the ones like Conway. They are the ones that have the hidden treasures that will will make your jaw drop when you realize what it is you have found. When I do come across one of those fun treasures like recently this past week I found the Electric Blue Johanni, the Electric Blue Ahli and the Socolofi. Talk about purples and blues, gorgeous healthy fish. I bought everything they had cleaning out four of their tanks.Conway Tropical Fish Store is the hole in the wall fish store that has the charm of “what am I going to find today”. Don’t judge a book by the cover when you walk in. The fish are all quality and the staff, Jim and his Store Manager Thomas are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. That’s what keeps me coming back.

If you remember and loved the way Tropical Fish Stores used to be, this is your place. I can get lost in there for hours. Honestly, not very many of this type of fabulous Tropical Fish Store left. Worth driving a distance just to see it. Hard not to buy something though. Healthist fish I have ever seen!

Conway Tropical Fish is one of the last "fish only" stores around. Jim is so knowledgable and is SO patient even if you are just there to buy a guppy. All types of fish, tanks, food plants everything fish. Just go there!

Love the place! The owner is extremely knowlegable, very kind and helpful and just an all around good guy. His fish are the Best ones to purchase from the Canadian boarder to as far south as you can drive.. I've NEVER been disappointed..

Musky and gross. This is what will happen if you get too many tanks and can't take care of them. Your house will look like this. his dogs are cute and there's agood secletion of cichlids, but that's about all. Everything is overpriced; from a little bit to really, really overpriced.

I really like this store, but I think they have have shut down?? It's been closed (during their posted business hours) the last 4 times I've driven down there & no one answers the phone or returns messages. I hope they'll reopen, I'll update my review to 5 stars if they do.

This is a very unreliable business. I highly recommend calling ahead of time to confirm they are in fact open. I would say 9 times out of 10 they are not open during advertised operating hours.
