The best pottery shop in the state. Each time I visit the North Cascades/Sauk Mountain, I pop in and often buy a piece for my collection- and these items make me the happiest of anything in my kitchen, to use and see the beautiful, high quality artistic and useful pieces.Just after my last visit, I unfortunately blew a tire a couple miles down the road. Unsure of what to do, I called Sauk Mountain Pottery, and the potter & his son came to my aid and helped me change my tire. I would give this place 10 stars if I could!

We stumbled upon a small pottery studio in the town of Concrete while on a trip to North Cascades right across from our Airbnb. Owners are very friendly, they showed us around and explained the pottery-making process. We loved the tour and bought two very unique mugs. The owners pets, very friendly, add a homey touch to the place. It’s a convenient spot to grab a souvenir if you're heading to North Cascades.

Adorable studio close to Rockport. Potter on site. We had the joy of a tour and saw the kilns/workshop used to make the pottery that is available for sale. Well worth a stop on your road trip!

Absolutely wonderful place and wonderful people.I was driving by on my way to the refuse center down the road and as soon as I saw the place I had to stop in. The place has the look of some fairy tale house in the woods.When I arrived I was greeted by some friendly doggos.Once inside I get the best conversations with the friendliest of fellos.Also of note is the plethora of unique and beautiful creations.Stop on by I’m sure you’ll find something you have to leave with like I did.

Tiny hole in the wall pottery studio and shop with soaps, vases, love lanterns, mugs, etc. al wood fired. The artists and his wife gave us a tour and were SO kind!!

Wherever you live, it's worth the drive to Rockport to shop at Sauk Mountain Pottery. Gorgeous kiln fired pottery made by resident potter, Steve Murray. You really should also buy some of his wife, Nicola, books! They are great! Wonderful items, wonderful people.

Amazing pottery shop on highway 20.Wood-fired stoneware and porcelain by Stephen Murray.Designs include relief drawings of the Cascade Mountains, local flowers, trees and some wildlife. Orders can be arranged with the artist and his wife, Nicola.Beautiful work can be viewed in their shop.Love the mugs we bought. Large with handles very comfortable to use.Every piece is one of a kind.

Amazing experience and pottery! Nicola (who’s a talented writer and playwright by the way) invited us in and gave us a tour of Stephen’s amazing setup. It’s incredible enough how he integrates sustainability into his firing process and mixes his own clay and glaze, let alone how he builds kilns. We bought a mug and Nicola’s book as our treasures. If you’re driving by, would highly recommend stopping to see if they are open!

Absolutely genuine and original work. The potter is fun to talk with and his wife is very interesting. Long time residents under the Sauk Mt shadow, making beautiful ceramic art and serving the community.

This is a great little shop. It's totally unique. They have some nice hand made pottery and you can pick up books written by the potters wife. Shes an awesome writer and you can probably even meet her if you stop to check out the pottery shop. I've only met her once but enjoy her books very much.

Loved this business! The owners were so pleasant and it was recommended to me by a coworker. It took me a while to get there from Seattle so plan ahead with directions. The pottery by the owner is very well made and special. I bought a gift for a friend and she absolutely loved it! I will be back to visit again.

Very high quality pieces at a reasonable price. Stephen is a true master of his craft and it shows in the functionality and comfortable form of his pottery. The shop is connected to his beautiful home , and the hours appear to be whenever someone is home to sell you a piece, so stop by and see if the "open" sign is on. This place is the real deal. Highly recommended!

The pieces have a great feel in the hand and beautiful form. I appreciate that the pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe, combining beauty with functionality and durability. I can’t wait to return for more. Nothing is more valuable to me than finding something both pleasing to look at and useful. The owner was kind, helpful, and answered my questions— a wonderful experience.

Awesome place its a little tiny but they take you on a tour and they show you how the stuff if is made. I bought 2 cups I can't wait to use them. The prices are really affordable too.

I love their product. Unique and varied. No two pieces are alike and they are all sturdy and useable. I go every year and try to pick up a small items either for myself or as a gift. Just lovely people too
