We see a sign on 395 pointing us to this bakery. Never been there so we checked it out. They have a variety of baked good that are all baked on location. They have other products from other vendors. The store was clean and tidy. The bathroom had older fixtures but was adequate. The young man behind the counter was very friendly and personable. Not 5 stars because none of their bakery products had dates on how old they were or when baked. We bought a single sour ream twist. My guess it was a lwast three days old. Definitely a "got milk?"Treat. You may be able to ask how old the items are to see if they are a little fresher than out treat was

Headed to Canada for the weekend and decided to stop. The banana nut bread was fabulous. Very moist, fresh and very tasty! My husband and I agreed, best we had in a long time. Friendly staff and prices are fair- $5.50 for a nice size loaf.

Wonderful locally-owned bakery. The owners are very nice. Their food is good quality. I have a sweet tooth, so I prefer my bakery items a little sweeter. But their stuff is quality and well-made. Love the Italian bread and the sour cream lemon twists!Warning: they sell out very quickly! Word has spread and since Chewelah has lots of older folks, they tend to shop early in the morning and empty the shelves. So get there early before they run out of stuff!

I've loved this bakery since it was located in Deer Park. It's a farther drive for me, but I make a habit of dropping in when I'm in Chewelah. They don't take credit cards.

Yum yum yum! Great breads, granola, and pies! Reasonable prices for quality items. They also have pastries and other things like cookies and homemade jams. It's all delicious! I just wish they would come out with Marcus to Deer Park on Friday's when he has the fruit stand up. I need my sourdough! 😥

Wonderful people selling wonderful products. Particularly like the pumpkin bread and banana bread, but really everything is good except for the apple pie. It's too sweet for my taste and would benefit from the dash of lemon my mother always put in her fruit pied.

We were driving through Chewelah on a Friday and stopped at the farmers market. The Bread Box had a booth and we bought rolls and bread and both were fantastic! I’m going to make a special trip to the store in the near future and see what else they have. Delicious 🥖

If I could, I would give this bakery six stars. I tell everyone about The Bread Box and often use their delicious products as gifts. Bread, cookies, pastries, noodles, grains, spices, candies, coffee, handmade gifts and a whole lot more. Just bring cash or your checkbook, no debit or credit cards.

The Bread Box is an amazing bakery that we are so lucky to have in a Chewelah. Their pies and pastries are divine! And their prices are very reasonable. They have a great variety of baked goods and other items, and friendly service.

So the rye bread, multi grain, dilly onion, and sour dough breads are all vegan! Best rye bread I've ever had too! Aside from the fresh baked goods they also sell baking supplies and spices. If you buy a load of bread ask them to use their fancy schmancy slicer so you don't mangle it into uneven slices at home (speaking from experience here).

They are great and are very friendly. Lots of baked goods and there's cheeses and other things I hadn't noticed or was surprised to see there. I don't know what all they have but It's home baked in their bakery.

What an awesome addition to Chewelah! A bakery/deli filled with artisan breads, baking supplies, meats and cheeses and even pies. Friendly and knowledgeable staff as well. The only downside is it is cash only. Otherwise I would have spent more.

A must go visit! A variety of sweets different kinds of breads & so much more. I truly love this place! The best part is the customer service!
