They were rude. The restroom was not sanitary. And the lady at the deli got upset because i was asking what some of the unlabeled Asian dishes were. We asked if they had anymore sushi. Because under the huge sushi sign the shelf was empty. I thought maybe there was some that wasn't put out. She rudely said she didn't know.

This Safeway has all the same items you will find in other locations.We came on a Saturday night. There were a couple of shady looking guys that kept glancing at my wife when I was in another aisle. When we exited the store there were 3 sherrif cars in the parking lot.

This is my hometown Safeway and boy was I disappointed. Stopped in at the deli at 4:55 and was treated so foul by the lady behind the counter. Ok, if you don't want people to ask the dishes, put description placards out but more than that, she was slamming the utinsels, slamming the glass slider, and damn near threw my plate at me. I had to walk away while my husband ordered. We get home and the food was rancid! I will be calling and talking to Jeremy, the manager.

It was a Safeway. Clean, decently organized, entryways were a little small and made you feel like you were fighting to get in and out. Nice customer service.

I hate this Safeway deli so much. They stop making food before 4pm and everytime we go here the employees are so disrespectful and don’t even want to help anyone. They are stomping around throwing stuff and clearly don’t want to be there. Today we went around 3:00 to get Chinese food. We called in advance to ask if they had it. They said yes. We got there and they had one scoop of rice and barely enough chowmein to fill a box. Both were inedible. The chowmein was literally a hard brick. All their chicken was dry and old except for the sesame chicken and mango chicken. Mango chicken was fine but the sesame chicken was literally raw. Thank god I noticed before my toddler ate any. Won’t be eating anything from here again.

I live off cheap sushi and I got this tray. Absolutely disgusting. It was like they dehydrated it. Crumbled apart. The only moisture in this was the packets and shrimp. And I couldn't even stomach the shrimp. On top of it the pharmacy couldn't even give me my medication that I was completely out of because according to them I shouldnt be out. I can't afford to miss a day without meds. Bad form I'm done with Safeway

Safeway is a bright, clean, trusty grocery store that includes a Deli section, hot food to go, a bakery, and a pharmacy. Excellent produce and meat department.The customer service greatly lacks, and their prices are high! I only shop here occasionally when I need one or two items. I do my major shopping at Winco (not meat) because it saves me a ton of money.

Small for a Safeway. No meat counter and small sections given it is a small town but very busy in the warm months.That said...be aware and check expiration dates. I've pointed out several expired items on many occasions and I even take the time to point them out to employees. Once, though, I pulled 3 jars of Mayo off the shelf and handed them to an employee because they were 3 weeks past expiration only to discover 3 jars a month and a half later that were over 2 months past best by. I took and handed them to a suited manager and pointed out the discovery and my disgust over the issue.

Overall it is a pretty typical Safeway. There weren't any carts or baskets inside to be able to use while shopping. One employee was nice and proactively asked if I needed help finding something and then directed me to where it was. Also for some reason there was a large number of ducks milling about in parking lot.

Safeway deli has really improved. Lots of prepared foods that are really excellent (Sandwiches, microwave meals, salads, etc). Great when traveling.

Good local store, great produce with lots of local stuff. Being a vacation spot, they often run out of products on weekends. ( like icead skim milk 😞)

By far the nicest employee Safeway has is Noah, he is always busy working but when you say hello is always so kind. He dresses to impress and certainly makes Safeway a much better place. You should give that man a raise for above and beyond customer service!

This is a small and packed Safeway. It has some Staple items, but most things are a bit more expensive over here. (Tourist town prices)They also have very low inventory of things. I forgot a hair brush and they only had combs. Since this is a small place it gets pretty crowded quickly.

This safeway is very clean and well stocked. The staff are helpful and friendly. I was able to quickly find the items I was seeking to aid in better enjoying all that Lake Chelan has to offer.

I too have had issues at the deli. There can be 2 people in the cooking area and they won't even acknowledge you for at least 3-5 minutes. Then it is "be with you". Then you wait another 3 -5 minutes. It would be nice to be greeted with some semblance of a smile.

Always a good shopping experience. The aisles aren't too crowded like in many other stores. Everything is always nice and clean too, even during the busy season. The staff is also extremely helpful!

WOW...not that I shop Safeway often...but what a dump!! Not sure what's going with management at this Safeway but it's the most unorganized and filthy grocery store I've been to! Bathrooms are maybe a step up from a honey bucket! Writing this review only to bring light to management about stepping it up... right next door to a classy resort, walking distance to downtown Chelan with tons of tourists from all over. This isn't how you should represent! And the deli...my husband ( who eats almost anything) couldn't eat the Asian/ Chinese or whatever they call it takeout!! I thought all Safeways were universal for the most part... clearly not! They lock the far left door after a certain time...no note on door to indicate that it's locked and staff will look at you trying to leave the building and not say a word about going to the other door....

For one of the few grocery stores in Chelan, this Safeway is a constant frustration for those who live in the area. The inconsistency in stocking shelves is always a problem. The dairy coolers are often partially empty. The produce availability is lacking with empty bins and old, rubbery products. They did away with the meat and fish counter. Now all you have is plastic wrapped product. They are the slowest at restocking with fresh products.A major problem is they NEVER have enough help. Typically one, sometimes two checkouts are open out of six. No one to retrieve the carts from the parking lot. I’ve walked away many times from the deli because no one comes to help you. On a popular weekend in the summer, forget it, stay away, huge lines, and again, slow restocking.It is apparent that the regional Safeway management doesn’t care about the Chelan store. They don’t lift a finger to improve the quality of products or service. Feels like they see little Chelan as a minor market that doesn’t deserve the same shopping experience they provide on the west side.

The variety is OK at this store, but I feel like it is always busy and there's never enough help. Aisles are small and crowded. Sometimes I experience unprofessional employees or those who reek like cigarettes, but not often. The store is clean and run well, overall. But it is my hometown grocery store, so I always shop here. I do like the savings I get with their app too.
