While arriving at Lake Chelan, I found this Bear Foods Natural Market Store. I was fascinated by the signboard at the entrance and went inside.There are things in the narrow space, and I haven't looked at each one properly, Herbs and spices are sold in small portions and reasonably priced. There is a unique package of chocolates, which is intriguing to buy. There are natural and health-conscious items. I feel like I can stay in this shop for hours. You will surely have something you want. I recommend checking out this store when you come to Lake Chelan.

Definitely check out this store. You’ll love it. Vegan options and tons of unique gifts! Cleverly decorated and the total experience was enjoyable. Street parking. Bathrooms. Pricey. *EDIT - my 5 stars went down to 3 - after shopping I drove to a campground a few hours away and hungrily opened my vegan jerky and pumpkin seeds only to find out they were EXPIRED since april!! Ugh. Waste of money.

Absolutely outstanding natural / health food store. They carry many items that nobody in the region does. Very reasonable prices. Parking is on the street right out front.It is somewhat handicapped accessable, but some ailes would be very difficult with a wheelchair.They carry few brands found in the big chain groceries.

Bear Foods in historic downtown Chelan has been the go-to location for organic food since before organic was a popular thing. There's more to the store than you expect from the front. Make your way past the selection of produce, wine, health aides, spices (their selection of bulk spices can't be beat!), coffees & teas, into the back. There you will find cheeses, nuts, grains, flours, pastas, beverages, and much more. It's like a Bag of Holding - there's just no way a store this small can offer this wide of a selection. Be sure to get a bag of fresh popped popcorn on your way out.

Such a wide selection of natural foods, spices, and bulk ingredients. This is a good place to look for small gifts that don't feel too touristy. Had just what I was looking for and more. Wonderful selection of chocolate, large cookbook section, and a surprising number of imported foods, including Italian pasta.

Janice and Nick are so helpful. Every time I come into the store, Janice is willing to point me in the right direction for anything that I'm looking for. She does this with a smile and in a very polite manner. Her customer service skills are impeccable. Nick has been kind enough to offer a discount on purchased bulk items. That's so awesome. Bear Foods is a town staple and has been for years. Please, keep up the great work.

If I just said very good and very expensive, it may be accurate but unjust. It surely takes a lot of effort and cost to collect and maintain, in a remote place like Chelan, such a thorough selection of goods, from the basic to the exquisite, for all tastes and preferences. My favorite import beer is the same cost as at the big box liquor store, if they would bother to keep it stocked. This place carries it, even in a four pack! An amazing variety of spices, condiments, packaged foods, gourmet items is packed in a very small space. I wish I could taste the prepared food... looking forward to a visit a year from now.

I absolutely love this store and always have. This store has been here since I can remember and I grew up in Chelan. I highly recommend for any natural or home remedies, and not to mention the popcorn 🍿 they have is worth the trip itself.

The best natural food market around! Nick and Theresa go above and beyond to provide all the good healthy foods, spices, herbs, natural medicines, teas, and bulk goods we need to lead healthy lives. Bear Foods is much more than a grocery store too. Their calendar selection is spectacular, they have awesome socks, cool greeting cards, nifty containers, and a chocolate selection to drool over! There's so much more, you just have to go in and see for yourself.Be sure to sample the delicious crepes too.

Is is your best bet for getting natural supplements, foods for the gluten-free, vegan, organic,etc. It might be spendy for those coming from the west side and used to having many stores around to get these kinds of items, I think this is normal for most small towns. The people I've had help in the supplement area have been super kind and generous with their time/ wisdom. It's a super awesome location and they've been around forever, which I think is kind of fun.

The crepes were the highlight of our trip! We sat at the bar and enjoyed getting to know the fellow making the crepes. It was an experience far beyond delicious (and healthy and creative!) crepes. The store was fun, too.

Barely could keep myself away!With a large selection of natural, organic, gluten free, and a plethora of other health food buzzwords, this store had something for everyone from the kid with the sweet tooth to the Grandma wanting her oils. The prices were high, but to be expected for the products they were selling, but do grab a handful of honey caramels on your way out by the register; you will be glad you grabbed more than one.The cafe has a good selection of hearty crêpes and soups and even some fruity spa water to wash it all down.

So, this is my second time reviewing this place. First time it was good. Nice food, nice menu choice and good service. Second time it was awful (never go there again - awful!!) The chef stands behind the counter and makes your food in front of you. Thus time there seemed to be no server working. Firstly it took me ages to get served and service involved the chef shouting across the room to me asking me what I was going to have (I had got the menu myself) This immediately made me feel like my presence there was in fact bothersome to him. During the entire time I was there the chef chatted with a friend sitting at the counter. I felt like I was interrupting two friends who were chatting after not having see each other for sometime. I did not give any tip as I did not get any service.

Great story and creperie. Enjoy eating there with our son, daughter-in-law and grandson. Fresh food, friendly people, fun atmosphere. What else can you ask for when visiting Lake Chelan. Loved the green salad with chicken on this visit.
