Convenient self-check registers. People get tripped up at the end of their transaction sometimes but just remember to tap '0' for NO BAGS as they don't charge for them, then tap 'PAY NOW' when you're done scanning and pick whether you're paying with cash or card and your transaction will be smooth.

Love this place. So nice to have a affordable place to get groceries without having to drive all the way to deer park. And they have so many types of other products it's like a mini Walmart. So glad they're here I don't have to shop at watsons anymore.

Another store with a bunch of self checkouts, understaffed but always there to remind you how many bags you're using, lol most useful thing to buy was tp, maybe they'll make tp vending machines next, lol 😜

Yesterday was my very first experience at a dollar general! Upon first impressions it’s very clean, shelves are stocked which is great! Two reasons I gave this place a 4 star instead of a 5 star review. 1) I heard what seemed to be a very uncomfortable conversation between a woman who works there and an employee in no way was she trying to be discreet which I thought was unprofessional. Reprimanding an employee for the whole store to hear isn’t a good way to boost morale.2) I had asked for the bathroom key and the woman seemed to be frustrated that she had to do her job, she was in the middle of a conversation with another person and also fixing a book display in the middle of an isle and when I stood there waiting for their conversation to end she displayed being disgruntled that I had asked for the key because she didn’t set the book display down she took it with her. No a smile in sight.I have a retail background of 10 years. I know customer service and that definitely wasn’t it. The guy who works there however seemed nice I gave him back the bathroom key and he asked me if the bathroom was clean and if there was anything to report and I just mentioned needing more hand soap and he thanked me. Maybe the woman was having an off day. I’ll definitely return because the store itself is awesome they have everything!

Very disappointed. No one around the last few times I was in. They expect you to serve yourself. This second time I wasn’t sure how to do cash so I waited & waited & nobody came to help, so I left my stuff & walked out. Some prices are good, but most everything else is way more expensive than Winco in Spokane. I figure if I want to spend my money anywhere, I shouldn’t have to serve myself. Not sure I’ll be back
