The almond croissant is very good. The breakfast sandwiches are also tasty. I preferred the old version of the bakery when I could sit and enjoy a coffee and a bite. It's less customer friendly now, not being able to stay inside and enjoy your purchases. The prices are high, plain and simple. I usually get my items to go since there is little seating outside, and the business hours are not conducive to my schedule. Those ugly Porta potties gotta go-yuk.

I really wanted to love this place. Coming from Europe where we have bakeries all over the place, I was super excited to visit and try some delicious pastries and bread. We ordered 3 different types of baguettes. All of them were just hard to eat. Same with the loaf of bread I ordered. The flavor was good and I like a good crispy crust but this was just way too hard to bite trough. The pastries however are solid! We also had to pay extra for ice water. Now, I am going through the previous reviews and noticed that people complained in the past year about the the bread/banquettes being too hard and having to pay extra for ice water and nothing has changed. You stated that your employees should have suggested that there is free water available but that was not mentioned to us just like with your previous customers. Mind you, I asked for a cup of water, didn’t even mention ice. Overall just very disappointed. Paid way too much money for a load bread I can barely enjoy.

Our car broke down but we were able to coast off the freeway to just outside the bakery parking lot. The place was closed, but one of the workers was just leaving and stayed to help connect us to a towing service, and recommend auto repair shops and lodging nearby. He even gave us the last pastries of the day (a cinnamon roll and an almond croissant) and they were absolutely delicious, I can't imagine how good they would have been fresh out of the oven. The bakery has a beautiful garden, delicious food, and the nicest staff that you could ask for.

Anjou is wonderful. We’ve been frequenting this bakery for years and find something new to try each time crossing the mountains. The bread is what you’d find in France - crusty, chewy, rustic and all together perfect. Stop in for a ham and butter on a real baguette, homemade cookies and incredible pies then take your time looking around at a true labor of love. We’re beyond grateful that the owners decided to bring a genuine boulangerie to Cashmere.

No interior seating, exterior is just for the summer and it's pretty limited. The only bathrooms are across the parking lot in a Porta-potty! The old Anjou Bakery was a warm, inviting and communal experience. Not any more. They're only open three days per week as their online business must be very good and it shows. The doors are only open, seemingly to process as many tourists as possible. Good food - as long as you know to plan on eating in your car or standing at a plank inside.

If you've never driven through Cashmere before, don't make the incorrect assumption that it will be a quaint mountain town like Leavenworth. We decided to make the trek to Anjou and were disappointed to realize it was a farm style building on the side of the high way. Inside, it was pretty standard fair - some sandwiches, sweets, and espresso based drinks. It was all good, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way like we did. There are options in Leavenworth that are on-par or better.

I've always wanted to try this place and opportunity presented itself last Friday. I ordered a latte 5/5, Tuna sandwich 4/5 (the bread was too hard & bread to filling ratio was uneven..but I did enjoy the lemon twist) , peanut butter cookies 5/5, chocolate chip 4/5, big loaf 1/5 , tumeric crackers 4/5 , almonds 5/5.The pros: inviting atmosphere, great prices, staff so nice & accommodating, delicious food overall. The cons: no bathrooms but a porta potty / outhouse available. No soap was available for handwashing, no seating inside, outside seating was weathered picnic tables that left me with slivers. The packaging for the tumeric crackers and almonds we're not easy to open at all. Had to use scissors , someone with dexterity issues would not be able to open at all.Parking: There's not any instructions on where to park or how. Maybe putting a post where customers can park would be beneficial

Stopped by here on my way to Chelan and the coffee was impressive. Good store vibe and stylish decor. No flushing toilets but they do offer honey bucket and it’s very clean

This was the perfect place to stop and rest on our way back to Seattle. It is peaceful and calm with some pretty views. The iced Chai was delicious, and the Brie and sun-dried tomato sandwich was amazing!

Just... wow! We ordered the tuna, then vegetable and the brie and tomato baguettes... then we also had the pastries available... and all I can say is wow! Then we had their coffee, and again even then the picky coffee drinkers were happy... no, they were ecstatic!

Great scenery, but unfortunately terrible experience with my $7 drink. Ordered an iced latte and the espresso was totally shocked/ burnt, couldn’t taste anything but that. I feel a place this unique should have excellent coffee if people are stopping out of the way for it.

This place isn't what it used to be. Seems like they changed a lot during the pandemic and never made any effort to change back. They were out of almost everything, though it was a bit later in the day. The mini marionberry pie was good, but not quite as good as I remembered. Nowhere to sit inside. The outside is lovely, but the heat was sweltering. They no longer allow use of their indoor restrooms and instead want you to use portable restrooms in the parking lot. Used to be a place worth stopping by, but now I think I'd rather keep driving.

You are expected to use sani cans. No place to wash hands. I was told to rinse them at the sink. When I insisted I would like soap she handed me dish soap. To sit you have to eat outside. It was very warm. You can stand to eat inside. No prices on sandwich menu. Really!?

Always great baked goods! The country loaf is large, tasty, and naturally sourdough. And we can't resist the "jamon beurre" (ham and butter) baguette sandwiches. So good! We try to schedule our trips from Seattle to Chelan so that we can stop while Anjou is open.

Love, love, love their bread, but after multiples times going to get bread and treats I continue to have rude customer service. When we walk out and my child innocently asks me why they were so rude, saying everyone has bad days, may not be the truth here. No matter how kind I am, how much I smile, I continue to be met with unfriendly staff. After my last visit it may be time to find a Bakery with better customer service. Everyone has bad days and comes across wrong sometimes, but when I have been there multiple times lately and only one time was I met with good customer service, may not be worth it. The one time they were friendly, my order was wrong, but I didn't say anything because I wanted to keep the customer service experience positive. Still deciding if I want to be treated unkindly just to have their bread.....

We always stop at Anjou when traveling from Seattle. They have the flakiest croissants and delicious grab and go sandwiches for lunchtime. Most importantly, the last time we were there I mistakenly left my wallet behind, and when another patron returned it to the staff, they went above and beyond to return it to me safely. I'm a loyal lifelong customer!

This place is designed for travelers and has a beautiful outdoor area. However, the entire outdoor section is off-limits to dogs. This is really hard when traveling with a dog (which 97.4% of Seattlites are), especially in the summer. It would have been lovely to be able enjoy their wares outside with said dog nearby on leash.Speaking of wares; the tuna sandwich was pretty good, but the crusty bread was almost too crusty... to the point of hard to eat. The croissant and the peanut butter cookies were good, but not worth cooking or freezing the dog over.I don't think we will stop here again.

Best bakery within 100+ miles, nothing comes even close. Bread, pastries, desserts and sundry collection are top notch. Don't hesitate, stop if you're near.

This place has so many awesome things. Their pastries are so perfectly sweet and not just plain sugar. Their bread is AMAZING. Great simple espresso options. We absolutely love their sandwiches: brie and tomatoes, ham and butter, egg and bacon... man, they are so good. When I tell people about these sandwiches I explain that they are not huge, they are $6-8, and it is a fantastic value and so worth it. When something is so delicious and of high quality ingredients, it is absolutely worth paying a fair price.

Gross restroom situation. I enjoy stopping here but the port-o-potties have been there for way too long for me to be convinced they are temporary. There's no place to wash hands, which is disgusting when you consider most of the foods are handheld. This is a huge mismatch with the classiness of the bakery itself. On a side note, the toilet paper is piled up next to the seat. It is very difficult not to knock them all on the floor. Also very gross.

What a great spot! Would totally recommend anything driving through to check it out! Bought a loaf of bread and it tastes the same days after (we don't eat a lot or too fast). Also bought a pastry that was really really good! They also make coffee, got a really good latte!

We picked up their featured white bread of the day on Friday & it proved to be quite flavourful with a crunchy exterior & delicious nicely textured crumb. Toasting brought out a pleasant maltiness that was unexpected in a white bread = slathered with butter, it was almost a meal in itself.

We have visited and purchased from Anjou for years while traveling back and forth. But now they expect customers, who pay top $ for their baked and other goods, to use the plastic outhouses. I attempted to use their bathroom today as has been available for the past 5 years—which is very accessible, and was told, “Ah—no you can’t use that please use the outside bathrooms.”Goodbye Anjou!

We moved to Wenatchee almost two decades ago and Anjou Bakery was one reason why :)! No joke. The best bakery there is to be enjoyed, French influence and valley love ❤️ A heavenly match in our backyard. Not to mention the great wines and fabulous everything there is to complement an enjoyable evening (which I am currently having thanks to Anjou :).
