Elk Ridge is one of my favorite golf courses. The front and back nines play totally different. Only a few trees along most of the course to block the views or in which to lose a ball. The rough gets tougher throughout the summer but the fairways are generous. The greens are highly contoured so three putts are not uncommon. It is not unusual to see deer and turkeys along the second hole. As it is located in the Gorge, it can be windy. It's a beautiful drive out of Vancouver along 14 and an easy drive from Portland on 84.

Really enjoyed our 18 holes of winter golf here at Elk Ridge. Club house staff were way nice. The scenery is amazing, loved the beautiful vistas present on nearly every hole. The course plays very dry even in the winter. Zero mud to found even first week of March due to great drainage which produces way less cart path only days. It is the Gorge so more wind on average but hey that's part of the challenge. Worth the drive in, we'll be back.

Very nice course and friendly staff. Well kept fairways and some of the fastest greens I've ever played. The course is great for all skill levels. Putting here is very difficult. Elk Ridge has beautiful views on every hole. I couldn't stop taking pictures. The view from the tee on the 18th is amazing. We played an early round and were lucky to have the sun come out for most of the day. A bit of a drive for us, but we will be going back as much as possible!

First off beautiful course in the mountains. We were there for the us kids golf ⛳️ tournament tons of rain 🌧 but the kids played through it. Course was in really good shape. There is parking for Rv by the course at the top we parked at the bottom at the resort and it was a hike to get up to the course. They had hotdogs and hot chocolate which was great for the kiddos will be back for sure ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped in for lunch and wasn't impressed with the menu. The cook in the back offered to cook me an amazing chicken sandwich that wasn't on the menu. He is the reason for the 5 stars and I will definitely come back for that sandwich. Thanks Boots!

Elk Ridge is a hidden gem well worth checking out. Short beautiful drive from the Portland area and a terrific layout. Pro shop staff are very friendly and accommodating. Restaurant and bar staff are very friendly with great service and food. Carson hot springs hotel is a chip shot away and very reasonable prices. Check it out, you’ll be glad you did.

Went to the driving range and shot 3 Buckets of balls with the girls and Randy and Jen and Maria. None of us have ever hit a golf ball before. The guys in the club house were great.

My husband, adult son and I drove over from Vancouver on a bone-chilling day to play a round of golf at Elk Ridge. What a gem of a course! In spite of the cold, the greens were in beautiful shape. The course is challenging but not ridiculously so. The views are breath-taking! We could look around us and see snow up on the mountains! The Clubhouse restaurant was a special treat. Megan and Rachel served us steaming cups of hot chocolate after the front and back nine. The food was amazing. My husband and son enjoyed the cheeseburger, served with truffle parm fries; I had the mushroom melt. We shared a platter of perfect beer-battered onion rings. This was not your typical grub served at golf courses. The entrees were elevated to new standards with fresh, quality ingredients and my mushroom melt had the best garlic aioli! We had a chat with August, the Executive Chef, and we’re looking forward to the culinary delights he’s planning for 2024. This review would not be complete without sending a little “love” to Tim (aka “Pops”) in the Clubhouse. Pops was really friendly, helpful and really set the stage for an enjoyable outing. We’ll be back soon—in fact, our next visit will include a stay in the resort.

Great course with an amazing backdrop. Only about an hour from Portland so you can still make it home for dinner. Smack dab in the middle of the Columbia Gorge so plenty of other fun activities to do before/after you play.. Grab your clubs and head East...

Great breakfast. Each employee was friendly and attentive. After breakfast, we found a gift for our son. who had played 18 holes yesterday. They are hopping find enough new employees to open again for the dinner hour.

We played the golf course and had breakfast in September when attending a wedding nearby. It was wonderful. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Genuinely happy place!! A great vibe. The restaurant was SUPER. My wife had the crab benedict and it was KILLER. We enjoyed every part of the day on the course, in the lodge and as mentioned the restaurant. We plan to come back again.

We don't golf but the course has a killer restaurant that is a hidden gem. They are open until 7:00pm, not 4 like the website says. Over a week we had all the breakfast items and some lunch/dinner items as well. Where to start...the biscuits! OMG they are great! The omelets, pancakes, stuffed hashbrowns, breakfast sandwich; it is just all good. We had some sandwiches and fries for dinner and those rocked as well. Great staff, great food. If you stay at the Saint Martins Hot Springs (another very nice place) the restaurant is just right there. If you are local get in there and then talk the place up. We will return next time we are in "The Gorge". Thanks to all the staff for the great mornings and our service dog says Hi! as well.

This is a hidden gem! The course was in excellent shape with undulating greens. Beautiful scenery for when your golf game goes awry. Definitely worth the drive from Portland or Hood River. Shout out to Wayne. He was awesome to work with. Very accommodating to our group on short notice.

A fantastic day trip from PDX suitable for all levels of golfers. You will find just enough of everything that makes a course interesting & challenging with some fun opportunities to score low. It's not a long hitter's course so be sure to look closely at the scorecard, you may decide to move back a tee box. It's uphill off the first tee leading to a bluff that offers spectacular views of the Columbia Gorge & surrounding forests. Most of your round is played on this upper bench & the everpresent Gorge breeze will at times influence your shot decisions. The layout has a links style feel with well draining, gently rolling fairways and greens that are very undulated and good paced. Expect some elevation changes though; #9 takes you back down to the clubhouse then #10 back up, #11 a driveable down-hiller, #12 short uphill par 4 before giving you a rest up top again. #16 & #18 could fight for the honor of signature hole but rest assured coming down #18 fairway you be asking yourself when can I get up here to play this track again.

Breakfast lookout over the golf course is always a delight. The food was delicious, we had the Elk Ridge Breakfast Sandwich and the Eggs Benedict. Both were filling and amazing. The team serves well and was very attentive to our dining needs. Friendly staff, good food, and a great view.

This is by far our favorite golf course. The scenery alone is enough but the holes are fun as well. The staff are always accommodating. He proposed on the 4th hole! ⛳

Finally had a chance to play this course. Beautiful morning with no clouds, no wind, and temperature in the 80's. Utterly amazing views! Just a real treat from this perspective. Staff including head Pro were outstanding. Tee times spread out every 10 minutes. Took cart but very walkable. This is a regulation but short course from white tees. All about approach shots and putting here as they have real undulating greens. Bunkers placed in very strategic places. Took 75 minutes to drive from Canby. Drove up 84 with beautiful Gorge views and crossed over Bridge of Gods with $3 toll. You can also drive up 14 on Wa side. Highly rated winter course because of drainage and Pro mentioned common to use carts on course in winter. Put this one on your list to play especially on a beautiful day. You won't regret it.

The restaurant is very, very good. They accommodated a huge group of us on a college field trip and the food was excellent. Our server and chef were both great people.

Great food, great service and great location! We had the stuffed hashbrowns and biscuits & gravy with a side of bacon. We will come back here again soon to try out the lunch. Food was flavorful and portions were good. The sausage gravy was a meal by itself and was perfect. Service was great and will continue to come to this restaurant when we are in the area again!

The course was a very pleasant surprise. Pace of play was great (we were the first group and were done in well under 4 hours). Lay out was challenging but fair. We will be back, for sure.

Great spot even if you're just coming to get food. We were staying at the resort nearby and came for breakfast. Staff as awesome and the food was incredible! Will absolutely eat here again!
