Absolute waste of time. If you want a pre-cut tree in the <6-7ft range, they've got some reasonable looking trees. But if you want to cut your own, or want something taller -- there's no point visiting this tree farm.Almost every tree is dead/bvrown on the inside, with only the other section showing any green. From 100ft away, they look great -- but you'll walk the whole field and come away disappointed. Save yourself the time and go elsewhere.

The owner and all the workers here are so nice and helpful. This is a salmon-safe farm, which means they don’t use any pesticides on the trees (YAY). The prices are very reasonable too! On top of all that, they have a very good gift shop selling ornaments and tree stands etc, and they had a bake sale while we were there. This year was my first going here and I’ll definitely be back! Some people complain about ‘slim pickings’ but they can only sell so many a year, and demand is very high! There were only 200 trees left when I went and we still managed to find a perfect tree .

Dec 2, 2023 Every tree brown with disease. No selection available. Worst tree cutting experience in 20 years of u-cut holiday trees.

Very few trees for you-cut and the ones available were brown. Lots of nice precut trees but we brought the kids for the experience. Won’t be back.

Trees were dead this year. Tree we got was cheap, but was pretty much already dead. We are now looking at having to get another one with 2 weeks to go until Christmas. Not sure what they did this year, but all the trees were in bad shape. Don't recommend for 2020. Maybe next year, but I probably won't be back.

Our usual tree farm was closed for 2020 so we came here (second day of their season). Lots of trees < $20 because they were brown/ dead in the inside. We ultimately left for another tree farm because we couldn't fine one we liked. Pic of the best option we could find.

A festive, seasonal outing for the whole family! We did not get a tree due to lack of space, but enjoyed looking around and enjoying the PNW ambiance. There was a bathroom and a gift shop.

I photographed a wedding here (M. Laine Photography) this summer and its my new favorite venue! I loved the lighting the loft and barn provided, and the farm itself is beautiful. Parking was plentiful, and the owners are very kind. I would highly recommend the Carnation Tree Farm as a wedding venue.

The owner, Roger, is kind, generous and wise. He loves his staff and they love their customers. They all went out of their way both times we've come here. Will definitely be back next year!

Love the varieties available as well as size options (aka price options). We got a lovely Noble Fir that we adore for $50! They have saws you can use to chop a tree or pre cut ones. They have wreathes to choose from as well. The staff is very friendly. It was easy to park and find a tree even for it being the Saturday afternoon after Thanksgiving. Also easy to drive out (loop road so drive through to get out, don't have to back up and turn around a try to get back through the way you came in). The barn is an adorable backdrop for photos as well. They had a machine that shook the tree which was nice to get those brown leaves off and they can wrap them too but we chose to not use the plastic. Options for recycle after Xmas too. Love our tree, and we plan to come back every year!

We've gone here most of the last ten years and they are always great. Sure, sometimes the selection can be a bit thin if you get there late in the season, but what would you expect from a tree farm?I've never had a problem finding a fantastic tree, and we always go early on the day after Thanksgiving.

We have gone to carnation tree farm for the last 4 years and always have gotten a beautiful tree. This year is sad. You can tell when you pull in. Any tree taller than 4/5 feet is brown in the middle and most likely brown on half of the tree. I felt bad giving them a 1 star so I did 2 but I think they should have closed this year to give their trees another year to grow. The selection is horrible so the prices are about $40 and the only trees that look beautiful are roped off in a no cut section. Save the trip and skip this farm this year.

Got there when they opened the morning after Thanksgiving and cut a beautiful 8' Grand Fir for a bargain price of $30. Yes, there was brown in the middle that the shaker took care of. My understanding is that they do not use pesticides nor excess fertilizers because they prefer sustainable farming and are certified Salmon-Safe. We'll continue to support!

We visited this farm on 11/23/18 to cut down our annual Stewart Christmas Tree. We don’t have a go-to farm every year, so we decided to try Carnation Tree Farm this year. We usually get a Noble fir due to the openness of the branches, but the Nobles at this farm were mostly brown except at the ends of the branches. From what I understand, this is due to a disease that cannot be treated with chemicals due to the farm’s Salmon Safe designation. However, all was not lost. We were able to find a beautiful Nordmann Fir and cedar garland that looks lovely in our home. Our tree was $76 and the garland was $1.40 per foot.

Great U Cut Christmas Tree farm. We've found the perfect tree here every year for the last 11 years. The kids have grown up seeing Santa here and still like their photo taken with him. He remembers their names each year. The friendly staff wraps the tree for free and helps you secure it to your vehicle if you want. There's a great gift shop in the historical barn and free hot cider to enjoy. Always a fun holiday atmosphere which makes for great family memories.

Great experience, awesome selection of trees, and at decent prices. Granted we didn't check out the barn and gift shop, I would recommend this tree farm over others in the area, just based on tree selection, prices, and friendly staff (it was packed and they all treated each customer with respect and kindness). Definitely coming next year.

Beautiful quality trees at an affordable price and friendly and well-organized staff. Always a pleasure to visit. The trees we've cut from Carnation Tree Farm over the years are always beautiful and LAST SO LONG-- seriously, they are still in perfect condition by New Years! This is a wonderful family and dog friendly venue for cutting your own Christmas tee.

Picked thru. Only Tagged trees for purchase and what is left is slim pickings. A few people leaving with trees but they were small. The ones I saw tagged were brown selling for 50-60$! They have some beautiful ones "saving" for next year.

They're getting sold out pretty quickly. The best time to cut a tree is the day after Thanksgiving before noon. So don't be late and don't complain if you come by after few days and find nothing.

October 3, 2015 we had our wedding here. It was amazing! Most of my groomsmen are chefs in Ca. and everyone was so impressed with the venue. I have only amazing memories of the venue. I would highly recommend this for a wedding or event.

Most trees has no tag so you can't cut it. The ones they cut already has no tag to tell you what they are. The cyder they serve is from powder and not hot. Toilet is dirty and no one to help carry three tree. We eventually found a tree and paid 63, cheap though. We won't come back here again.

Can only buy tagged trees and only the worst trees are tagged. I wanted a 10 foot tree, and was told by the owner that all of the 10+ ft trees are reserved for businesses. It doesn't feel very Christmasy to see so many trees yet not allowed to purchase them... The good ones are reserved.

Lots of nice trees but none could be cut. Only small or brown trees had tags. Disappointing. service was good and prices reasonable but selection was just not good.

We came on December 9th. Only their tagged trees are for sale. There is a pathetic selection of tagged misshapen and brown trees right next to a bunch of mature untagged perfect ones.

Open during winter for Christmas trees. Excellent selection for small to medium trees to cut. Taller trees also available, freshly cut.

Staff was very nice, but many trees were dead in the inside and looked diseased. Was one area of very nice trees, but that was roped off as closed.

Worst tree farm I’ve been to in last 25 years. Trees brown and any good ones not for sale. Don’t waste your time.

Great place for local u-cut...good inventory and variety, unlike most of the other tree farms in Snohomish and King County.
