I have to say this is a great option for us in Washougal. Ray is super friendly and always wants to help in any way! We get all our hay and chicken supplies.

It has changed a lot since the new owners took over several years back. It doesn't seem to geared towards the rural farm life as much as a sporting Life if you ask me. I think a lot of snowmobile items. Less things like muck Boots and farm wear which are necessary in the but they seem to have done away with most. I ordered a pair of boots once and they canceled my order without asking because they saw me in a new pair of boots. I called to check and see if they had my order yet and was told they thought I didn't want them since they saw me wearing a new pair. They used to have wood stove pellets but I haven't found any there in the last couple of years. They are always out. I don't know if they get them in and sell them or don't stock them well.

Generally ok, albeit a bit unfriendly employees at the counter. I purchased steer manure from them for my garden. Turned out it was contaminated with Grazon herbicide. Killed most of my garden. I contacted them and never heard a word back. Guess they don't care what happens to their customers.

too expensive. However, they earned the 1-star review because they had animal anti-biotics that were over-the-counter, and wouldn't sell them to me unless i disclosed to them how they were being used. I've never had to answer some random store-lady's questions in order to satisfy her curiosity before! Long story short, I don't answer dumb peoples questions. Therefore, they refused to sell to me. They also lost me as a customer! Find a real country store!! That would be my recommendation concerning this place.... find a better store! A store where the workers show respect to their customers and don't act like prosecuting attorneys in the middle of a deposition.

Always greeted with a smile! You can tell this business is family owned! The owner helped me out by advising what rat poison I bought, helped with an all weather rug for my dogs paws while entering the house, they have a great selection of dog & cat treats and toys. The clothing selection is stylish. A lot to offer in a feed store! They sell candles too! It’s the only place I go when I need stuff for my animals. Thanks guys for your great customer service and being able to provide everything I need!

I ordered a pallet of feed from LJC. When I picked it up, they loaded it into my pickup and volunteered to shrinkwrap my tarp over it so the tarp wouldn't blow around and risk getting the feed wet in the rain. The pallet discount was good, and dealing with them was a pleasant experience.

Used to love and shopping at LJC Feed when Gordon owned. Had many friends employed with them over the years. I went to return a belt which had a broken clip in addition to being the incorrect size for my son. I had the receipt and the tag was still on it. I was horrified and embarrassed when the new owners daughter accused me of punching a whole in the belt. It was a $50.00 broken, incorrect size belt. As other customers waited to check out, the daughter left me standing there. Without saying a word where she was going she left and went to the belt section. I stood there in shock not knowing if they were returning the belt or not. A young sweet cashier asked me to wait a minute until the daughters owner returned. Upon her return the owners daughter who would not look at me, nor say a word spoke to the young cashier and left to the other side of the store with the belt. The young cashier apologized and refunded my debit card. As other customers witnessed, I asked the young cashier to have the new owner call me so I could file a complaint. I support local business however will never buy another item from LJC Feed again. The new owners need to invest in their business by teaching their daughter customer service and manners. Small business is dying. This kind of service seals small businesses fate. The owners daughter left unaccountable for her actions will continue to embarrass hard working loyal customers. This kind of behavior stops repeat business. Take my review for what it is for worth - Very disappointed customer in Washougal, WA.

I went to get some pellets for my pellet stove. They seem to be well stocked but I did not shop around. They were to call as their system was down but I never got a call back. They were completely out of the pellets and we are supposed to get them delivered on Thursday. I will reverify as their communication didn't seem to good. The price on the pellets for Black Friday was super. I could beat the price any where else.
