CJ's Evergreen General Store & Catering catered for a wedding I photographed and the food was SO GOOD!!! Catering an event isn't easy. Serving hot, delicious food to a party takes practice and skill and these guys EXCELLED! They were so helpful and attentive to the guests. 5/5 Recommend!

Amazing people, amazing artisan foods, conversation, and coffee. Nestled right next to a beautiful park on the water. This place has all the charms of that corner store just down the road from where you lived... Took me back to being a kid with a nice little selection of penny candies too! (A little more than a penny but the thought and fun remains the same! OH AND DON'T FORGET THE ICE CREAM!

Cj's was fantastic!! I had a gathering of four people and asked Cj's to prepare certain items that I was able to choose from a very extensive menu. The food was delicious and was just the right amount. I will definitely be recommending them and I will use them again!!

The sandwiches were killer. Went back the next day for the same.Huckleberry Ice Cream!!! So good.They have a lot going on here and I don't understand how they do it in such a small space.They have a bunch of house-made frozen foods and I plan on trying some. Awesome idea, great for those busy days where you want something good but don't want to cook.I intend to get some pies from here too; the crust is made, old school, with lard and since I'm allergic to dairy that's a big selling point. Come fall, it's gonna be pie time!The ladies that run the store are super nice too but they don't mess around.I really like this place; it reminds me of the neighborhood general store back in day.It all feels familiar.

The only place I know where to get black licorice ice cream any more. They are super nice also, they let me order a whole 5 gallon drum of it a few years ago. I called them a few days ago because I moved back to town and asked if I would still be able to order a 5 gallon drum of ice cream and she told me yes. It will cost me the same as it did 5 years ago too!!! I'm so excited!! Thank you guys for being so amazing and having great customer service!!!

Great little local market. Best huckleberry ice cream I have ever had! I heard they make a mean cappuccino and will definitely be going back to see if it's as good as the ice cream.

I was staying in the area for the weekend and wanted a couple of pre-made meals until I could get to the grocery store. I picked up the pork tenderloin and the minestrone. Since they were frozen, I didn't have high expectations. I was so wrong! Both dishes were incredible! Full of flavor and reheated well. I'm planning on picking up more on my way home. Delicious!

Great sandwiches, great coffee, friendly owners. I went here when I was a kid to buy individual candies for a penny. Of course you can't find candy for a penny anymore but the new owners still sell individual candies for cheap enough for kids to spend their allowance on.Great place to grab a sandwich and some drinks for a picnic in the park across the street.

Small but very nice. Has all the necessities and of course the best thing: ice cream. Great for those days when it's hot but you need to get the kids out of the house. And the park is across the street which makes this store even better.

Rude burger flipper at the farmer's market. Got scolded for "wasting his money" after asking for a takeout box, upon seeing the large portion of food served. Cashier at the same booth wasn't terribly friendly either. Bad business..Good food. Good ice-cream.

Was on my phone, I am not from the area so I didn't know they weren't open, lights were on and people were going in and out. Two nice people directed me out the store because I walked in, but some really mean lady was yelling at me. Very rude woman . I would have went in there during the day and probably found what I was looking for and gone back a couple times for more, but if that's the way there gonna treat people for honest mistakes I will gladly walk the extra couple blocks for the gas station.

What a fun & unique store! Proud to have this establishment in my own backyard. I never feel ashamed or embarrased to use my ebt card here! The best little town store ever! Reminds me of the ones we had when i was a kid.

Amazing soups from scratch, delicious grilled sandwiches and paninis, and yummy ice cream! A great place to take the kids for a cone or a meal. Limited seating, but just get it to go and eat at the park across the street! Love this place!

The deli serves great sandwiches made just how you like them and the ice cream is to die for. The store has an old timer feel to it and the people, including employees, are oh so friendly.

This is a small, crowded convenient store. The candy in the jars are everyday candy placed in jar. The images are misleading. We did like that they are next to a park though as the doggos loved the park.

Saturday mornings my wife, dog and I walk to Evergreen Park to enjoy being outside and getting some exercise. One of the places we like to peruse is CJ's General Store. Its right across the street and has a variety of food stuffs from candy to whole unprocessed milk and they have a watering hole for the dog. Definitely a fun local store to grab something quick to snack on.

Not very nice people and the items are pretty over priced while not having change for anything. If you here for the ice cream just go elsewhere and come back to the park. Only positive thing I have to say about is the location. Real shame since it could be great if the service was nicer.

The lady there was amazing. They have black licorice and bubble gum ice creams which is awesome since its hard to find and they carry Faygo soda which is hard to come across

A local gem that's partially hidden. They are advocates for everything local. Cynthias pies are so God's they are a almost criminal. It's an under utilized lunch deli. Take a minute (won't take much longer than that) to wander the aisles and see everything they have in stock. Then finish of the trip with ice cream and one of those sinful pies.

I was genuinely surprised by how rude they were. I came here remembering how nice and homely they were and even drove 30 minutes out of the way to come here specifically for ice cream. Apparently my memory was the only thing that was nice about it.

Cute, old fashioned place to get a sandwich or snack by the park. One of the last places with candy for sale by the piece - old school style. Would come here again!

Outstanding general store!! Great fresh baked pies and very friendly service. Sandwiches and ice creams are available and right next to the park.
