I stayed at the site in area D with a little more privacy for a week, and it was good to take a walk in the morning and there was a large lawn in the tent area, so it was really good to walk the dogs. Dump station is at one A site around the entrance, so it was good overall except that the trailers had to wait a lot.It was easy to use the laundry facilities, the swimming pool was very spacious, and the club house was divided into floors, so it was good. You can't check in before 12 o'clock, so you have to wait. Please refer to it.It was nice to have a casino nearby and a relatively cheaper gas station than anywhere else, and I was satisfied because it was close to the city near Bellingham and Burlington. There's a lot of noise on the racing track on the weekend, I don't know if the game is held every week, but please refer to this.

Really great camping, amenities very nice. The pool was great. Only 11 full hook up sites, lame. People speed through the campground, and staff doesn't do anything about it. They give a speach about the seed limit. I called twice to express my concerns, and they said there wasn't much they could do. Staff need to patrol the campground more and regulate this more. Staff doesn't seem to care?

I had a wonderful time there all their facilities are very very clean the people that work there are so polite and nice and courteous and helpful very good with directions it's it is right off I-5 within a mile and a half I like because there's a casino right there but once you turn into Thousand Trails you don't even know the casinos even there but if you enjoy really good meals and maybe play some cards or listen to a band it's an awesome place to go but if it's not for you you don't even have to acknowledge its even there there's a Skagit speedway which is a racetrack and best of all there is a lot of good fishing places to fish Rivers streams lakes and awesome bird-watching if you like to watch the eagles and we are very fortunate to have the largest elk herds and Washington State and if you have children Thousand Trails is the place to take them there is so many things to do I couldn't mention all the things on the road again happy trails

So we met a reservation at Thousand Trails Mount Vernon however because it was full we were sent to the sister site which is not far away called Friday Creek. This site does not have a ton of RV spots the way that the Mount Vernon site does however the spots at the Friday Creek Campground are ideal. Each has at least a 30 amp connection and freshwater. Though there is no dump there you can always just drive up to the Mount Vernon site and dump at that location which is exactly what we did without any hassle. Friday Creek is located directly on Friday Creek and that is a very beautiful location. Our dog and cat enjoyed the area immensely. The caretakers live on site and are a young family. They are very kind and super helpful. They screened a cute movie for the youngsters while we were there in the communal space.

Made a reservation a month in a half in advance for a tent site (we were landing in Vancouver BC and had to drive to Idaho). This place seemed nice just for a quick night while on our trip.I paid in advance, received numerous emails with details to fill. I had to do an online check-in, which was in theory super great. It said to do the self check-in online and once on site, send the site we would pick.We arrived late due to delays with our flight. There was a gate with a number pad. I was never provided a code when doing the check-in. We went back to the main office, it was closed. There was an intercom, we spoke with someone that was not on site. They said we couldn’t enter.I said I did the self checkout and booked over a month ago, they did nothing and said the self checkout was not for this campground. Then why the hell did you sent me like 3 emails for self check-in, and why was it working? They would not give the gate number or took my reservation number, what a joke of a campground. You better stay home than go there, plus they never contacted me back for a refund.Peace

Nice campground with many amenities. Great lodge and nice pool area. Most of the sites are doable. A little rough though many trees and space for a little privacy. The biggest drawback is the freeway noise, which is 24 hrs. Some parts of the park are quieter than others.Nearby activities: Bellingham City Hall Museum was interesting. Preserved building from the late 1800's.Restrooms: Lodge rest rooms were very clean and up to date. I didn't use the restrooms throughout the propertyDog-friendliness: Nice but small fenced dog park. Usually off season your dog will be the only one there

Quiet, peaceful. Lots of awesome trees and nature. We really like site D18, right by the bathroom for easy showers since we have no sewer. Far from food but a great jumping off point for North Cascades National Park and a Vancouver, Canada visit.

Nice Campground, good amenities, pool was nice but no lifeguards, kids playgrounds centrally located. The lodge offers a good breakfast. General store on-site with most of your camping needs including boardgames. Campsites were good sized and well laid out.

We stayed for 3 weeks over Christmas!Bathrooms were clean, park was clean, neighbors were quiet, staff was kind and we really enjoyed the clubhouse! It was two stories and so even when different groups were there, it never felt crowded. Two TV areas, games and lots of tables and chairs set up. Laundry was easy. You just need an app and scan a code to pay. So much easier than quarters. Close to town, but felt far enough out that you still felt away from it all. Before you enter the park, you pass a cheap gas station that also has propane, so that’s convenient! (We have a yearly membership and are full timers, comparing to our other stays/locations.)

Facilities are clean. There are a number of 50 Amp sites amongst beautiful trees. Very nice club house and park facilities. There is a gated area for the dogs to run off leash. The putt putt is under repair. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice looking pool and hot tub but is closed for season.

LOVE this campground. The spots are amazing. There are two playgrounds. The lodge is awesome and the pool is fantastic. The staff plan all kinds of fun on the weekends. Bingo, trivia, cookouts, etc. Lots of fun. Lots of nature. Plenty of bunnies, squirrels, etc. The bath houses are clean and warm!

While the park is old and has some needed work, it is the closest a standard campground has come to feeling like a state park. Big sites with big trees and a lot of space to explore. The showers are top shelf, with an actual shelf in the shower. Most places have no shelf for soap. The drying area is big enough to dry and dress without constantly hitting the walls. Sinks are food with a real mirror to shave in.

Nice campground with many sites for electric and water. We were able to move to a full hookup site which was more secluded. Depends on what your preference is. However, our first site was more ideal for starlink so my husband's work meetings streamed without any drops. Laundy was clean and well maintained. Short trails around the campground with large trees. Dump station on grounds. Dog friendly with a dog park.

The management has done some great work in turning this place around. We've stayed multiple times during the summer of '22 and the security issues are all but gone. With a family in tow it's a wonderful place to be with large sites to hang out, lots of weekend activities for the family, and even an RC track and dog park. The biggest downside is that the park is *long* and combined with the lack of sewer sites and a single dumping area, it can take a very long time to get through the congestion and get back to your site depending on where you are in the park.

The reviews claiming staff is rude are clearly one-sided. Must be people breaking the rules and being rude about management upholding them. This place is ran very well. The spots are clean, staff organizes events for families and kids, the downstairs part of the lodge is great for teens and pre teens, the pool is huge. Bathrooms and showers are clean and they are on top of any issues. You can hear the races which is cool. 11 pm is quiet time, later than the 10 pm that most go by. We love it here and and we will be back for sure.

We used our TT membership to stay in a cabin. It was very clean, pet friendly, everything was already there for us like towels, dishes, bedding. We found it quiet and private.Only thing is no AC. They do have a fan you can use and that actually worked perfect for us.The dog park was nice, they have a breakfast buffet and lunch one. Lots to do here and located close to many activities.Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the lady in the office had such a rude attitude when we were trying to check in. Good lord you'd have thought I was an old enemy the way she greeted us.

Great campground. We’ve always had good experiences here and it’s a family favorite. I love that they have a texting service you can sign up for which they use to update everyone on anything happening in the park. This is the only park we’ve been to that does the texting updates. They always communicate what is happening, if something is closed why it’s closed and an eta on when it will be open again. We definitely recommend this park to everyone.

I didn't tour the whole camp, so sites may very in condition. Looks like in the process of some road upgrades. Nice large Pool 5 foot center, clean, perfect temperature. Hot Tub fits at least 4 to 6.Small grocery and gift shop. Sites a bit primitive, with power and water. Bathrooms with showers in some, dotted around camp areas. Cabins and yurts available.

I was wary of this campground initially based off of reviews but I must say we were very pleased with the staff and the facilities!! The restrooms are always clean the grounds are maintained the sites are spaced out and not right on top of each other like some parks! We will definitely be back!! We love the Area!!

Great job mount vernon crew! There was a broken down rv at the front gate and mount vernon crew sprung into action to get the other gate open to let the line of campers into the campground. It took them minutes to resolve the issue and I'm so proud to be a thousand trails member!

We really enjoyed our two weeks stay here. Roads are well taken care of and brush is trimmed back so you can get your rig in and out without worry of any damage. Sites are varied and some are big rig friendly. The only downside is that there are not many full hookup and no way to reserve one (we tried and were told we would have one but then didn't which was disappointing) but the dump stations were level and easy to access.

One of the best TT camps I have been in. Follow the rules. They are strict. Staff are wonderful. Just a few full hookups and you have to get on a waiting list. But quite a few 50 amp. We were in A16, a large shady site of which there are many.
