TLDR: Healthy fish! Helpful cashier!I came here to check out the fish because they're having a great sale. I think it's safe to say Petco is *not known* for having healthy fish. BUT! Bothell Petco is DIFFERENT! The aquatics specialist actually *is* a specialist, and told me she's been with Petco 27 years in the aquatics department. Her fish are happy and healthy, and all the tanks are clean, and no contraindicated fish were being kept together. This is a phenomenon I've found exceedingly rare at Petco! Also, when I found a mistake on my receipt the next day, the cashier was more than happy to work with me to fix it. Overall great 👍

I shop at this location a LOT I have 7 animals and this last time I saw that 12 pack of cat food cans was $10 but when I got to the cashier it was doubled and I was shocked. The attendant gave me 25% off but it still felt wrong when it was not put in the wrong place by the staff. Quite the price shock for how hard times are for people.

I arrived at Petco 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment, expecting a smooth check-in for my dog's grooming session. Unfortunately, the experience was far from satisfactory. Despite the presence of staff, I was informed that only the groomer could check us in, leading to an unnecessary wait even though another employee appeared to be unoccupied.When I inquired if the available staff member could assist with the check-in, she excused herself to the bathroom, leaving me puzzled and unattended. Post-grooming, another employee approached me with a lecture on respecting their check-in policy, which I found rather condescending and unprofessional.The haircut provided to my dog was average, not compensating for the service issues encountered. This experience has led me to decide against using Petco's services in the foreseeable future.

The store is located just off Highway 405. We shop here very often due to the convenient location of the store. We like the Petco’s good-quality, organic food that is always on the shelves. The only drawback is their price. I wish there were more affordable food for pets.

I took my friends cat in on 03/02 to get some vaccines updated. Our appointment was at 4pm and we were told to come early. We did come early and were checked in about 10 minutes prior to the appointment. We waited 25 minutes past our appointment time to even be acknowledged by staff. There was a group of people who had 6 animals before us (I have no idea if they were walk ins or not) someone needs to be on top of scheduling because having an elderly stressed out cat just sitting amongst a ton of dogs is not a healthy or good experience. The appointment was SCHEDULED so we could be in and out and mitigate stress on the animal. I can understand scheduling mishaps but at least communicate that is what’s happening so we can decide to take the cat to the car if we have to wait 25 minutes.

I drove 20 minutes to get here and I knew in was cutting it close by I got to the Bothell store with ten or twelve minutes to spare....around 8:48pm. With a closing time of 9pm. Of course the store is closed and locked up with no one that I can even see inside. So I don't know how early they decided to close tonight bur I can tell you it's super frustrating trying to cram important errands into a small time slot and I have stores like this that waste time and money driving in to the store during your posted hours of operation. Thanks

I’m just grateful this store don’t treat people based on their bias. The Lynnwood location (specifically night crew) are rude and won’t serve you besides whoever is on register. This place is very kind and respectful. I feel safer and happier here

I had a really great experience at this Petco thanks to Marta. I went in with a lot of reptile questions and she was so knowledgeable. I am currently building my chameleon enclosure and will definitely be back to this location. Thanks for your help Marta!

REVISED 01-31-24While we are waiting I told the young woman doing intake that I wanted the flea and tick medicine that goes on thr nape of the neck. She said, " Tgey don't do that anymore. You give it like a treat and they love it." I said, "Really? Well it's been a long time since I've used it."That was a couple of weeks ago. I held off because we were moving out of state, and wanted to wait until we were ready to go. That day came yesterday. I was heartsick when I realized I had just poisoned my 4 months old Ragdoll kitten.We called Vetco and before even asking about her condition, went on about there liability.We hung up and ran her to the vet across the street, who dropped everything to take care of her; inducing vomiting, giving IV fluids, and charcoal. No thanks to Vetco, it seems she will be okay.≈≈=====================We used the immunization service. Long wait, but the staff was good to my kitten during her first shots.

This is a really small Petco location so I wasn't expecting much when I came in here out of convenience. I originally came to look at some swimming pygmy African frogs but immediately decided to look at the parakeets/budgies. I was surprised how many they had and ended up buying two.The best thing about the store was my interaction with a very knowledgeable/expert employee named Andrea. She was so helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Having owned birds for 35 years, and volunteering to work in a bird only pet store for five years, I assumed that I knew more than anyone working in any pet store about birds. I was wrong. Andrea was so knowledgeable and helpful. I was considering two days later to look back at their budgies but instead decided to come back to the store thirty minutes after I left with my own two budgies to see if she could identify their sex. She did it within seconds. I was so grateful and knowing their sex made buying two more a lot safer.Even if I wasn't planning on buying an animal or product here, I might still come by to ask Andrea's opinion on whatever it is. So thankful to have met this really considerate expert on animals.

This Petco had more of a variety than others I have been to. I did not like being bothered while I shopped. I already knew what I came for so when I was followed around with coupons, I found it really annoying.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Enrique was super helpful. There was a nice woman working too who was very nice to my kids. She was feeding animals and took the time to show my curious daughter. Their kindness and patience is very appreciated. ❤️

Went this store yesterday to pick up 3 bags of dog food, it was about 70 lbs.The staff asked me if I needed help to load them in my car and I said that would be great.Later she came back to me and said "I can't help you now and LITERALLY the carts are right behind you."I understand if she couldn't find anyone to help us, BUT the way she talked to me was not very nice. I wouldn't go back to this store again.Very bad customer service.

Daughter and I were just browsing to see what kind of reptile stuff they had, and like usual we decided to enjoy ourselves and view the animals and entertain the idea of a new fish tank and possibly which fish we would get. It would have been a great time hanging out with my kid if the staff wasn’t very obviously standing in every isle we went to and hovering nonstop. I understand low key monitoring to make sure no one is stealing, but this was over the top and very obnoxious.

Just got my mini Australian labradoodle a hair cut at Petco and am super disappointed. I showed them several pictures of what I wanted, a teddy bear cut. Went to pick her up and found her shaved with fluffy ears. The customer service was lacking. I have no words. The picture on the left is her at pet wash in Woodinville and the one on the right is the Petco one. Asked for a supervisor to call me and no one did. Figured to give them a try and worth decision ever. So sad!!!

All the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. They have a ton of verity when it comes to pet toys, pet essentials etc I didn't catch the name of the employee that helped me but she was so kind while helping me find the specific item I came looking for. The store wasn't overcrowded and there's always plenty of parking. Definitely will be coming back here in the future!

Jeremy is the real MVP at this location. Recommended toys and was super helpful answering some of our cat questions. Checkout was also a blast (never thought I'd say that) with his positive energy and jokes. Thanks for being awesome Jeremy!!

I took my little white dog to Pet Co. for grooming. The groomers are great, do a very good job and treat my dog with care. I highly recommend them!

This location usually has what we are looking for for our cats. The store itself seems smaller than others in the area, so they have limited products but what they carry seems to be the 'good stuff'. It can get a little crowded in the front of the store with the groomer being located up front. There's also been some issues recently with hours of operations but I think that was due to a manager having some kind of medical trouble and while that was happening, the store was diligent in posting notices about reduced hours, which was nice. Parking in the lot can be troublesome but that's not Petco's fault, however make sure to plan accordingly if you cannot walk from across the lot.

Abby is a terrific groomer-5 star, does exactly what we want done. She grooms our elderly maltese and our puppy Golden Doodle- both seem to like Abby. Clerks at the store are friendly and helpful…. This is a 4 star review however because the store is consistently messy and disorganized and often poorly stocked. If they cleaned up the store so you could find things instead of having to plow through shelves to find things or assume they don’t have it as the item is not in a logical location..the rating would be 5 star.

I have used Teddy as the primary groomer for my dog George for the last 5 years. Teddy is very personable and accommodating when it’s possible. This is a very busy location, make an appointment and you’ll be happy. George loves him.
