I have a 14 year old Bichon Frise who I have been getting professionally groomed his whole life. I took him to Petco because I didn’t have time to get him into his normal groomer before family Christmas photos and the holidays. As soon as we got there they told me they were going to shave him and I was apprehensive but didn’t imagine he would be FULLY shaved. I was in shock when I picked him up and didn’t notice that even his ears and tail had been fully shaved off. I also got home and found a gash on the inside of his ear that nobody mentioned as well as a wart/skin tag that had been nicked and bled. Most groomers will shave out a mat but still cut the rest of the body as normal. I feel so awful that I took him here and made him so uncomfortable. He keeps shaking his head and itching his ear where it’s cut and is clearly very cold (a shave cut in winter is NOT recommended especially on a senior dog). My normal groomer is half the cost and does such a great job I will never go anywhere else ever again. The girl working was pretty nice so I’ll give a 2 star for that. I wish I would have realized how bad it was at the time and spoke up but I didn’t so that is my fault.

I took my puppy there to get her nails trimmed and anal glands expressed. They got me in the same day and were super quick. I wish her nails were cut a little shorter and smoothed out. Being a puppy and the 1st time to the groomers I totally understand the groomer did what she could. The groomer was so sweet and took good care of my puppy.

Ali is aaaahmazing!Our little Theodore had some behavioral issues as a puppy and Ali has established such a beautiful connection with him. He kisses her while she grooms him.

Ali is great! She is always ready for us as soon as we get there. If she notices anything she is always willing to point it out to me. My dog, Jax adores her! You can tell she loves what she does and cares about him. She is so good with him! Jax always comes out looking like he could be in a dog show! So handsome! She does a really nice job!

I have always enjoyed coming to Petco grooming with the current staff of groomers. There is one exception, however, and that is the exception of yesterday, November 8. I was picking up to groomed puppy dogs, both of which were about seven years old. Upon coming in to the groomers area, I was paying at the counter when a gentleman who said his name was Edward, and that he was some sort of a supervisory position, something like that. While we were standing at the counter, and I am paying my bill. He approaches me and says I just want you to know that we will no longer be grooming your cocker spaniel Maddie,First off, I did not care for the way Edward was announcing to everyone the discovery of my puppies skin tags and warts. RUDE! RUDE!!!!!After that, I told Mr. Edward that I would no longer be coming to Petco and that meant I would no longer be collecting any sort of points or anything else toward the group that allows me some savings. I have enjoyed my time with your groomers. They are great girls and guys And I shall miss that. Especially Mindy. My only other suggestion for making this thing work would be if Mr. Ed would dress the part of being a person in his position. Instead, he has his abundant waist line, hanging out over the edge of his pants, which I wouldn't necessarily call a uniform. 3 of them. Sincerely Kathy Smith from PETCO of Bonney Lake WA

my dog is a little difficult and anxious one, so whenever he was with a groomer, they always said that it was a hard time or sometimes he even got cut on his skin. But I am so happy this time. He looks so cute and no cut anything. Thank you.

We just moved into the area and I was desperate for a grooming appointment after my dog went camping with family while we were out of town. I was a little leery because of some of the reviews and was surprised to get in the following day. We were booked with Payton who was very gentle while meeting our dog and asked all the right questions to make sure she knew what we wanted. When I picked up our labradoodle I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of her cut. I wanted her kept pretty long since she didn’t have any mats and wanted the “teddy bear” head. That was exactly what we got! She looked, smelled and felt amazing! I will be back for regular appointments and will always book with Payton!

I love the care that is taken with my dog when I leave her to be groomed and I think Mandie does a great job, I am always super pleased with the outcome. I also really appreciate the rewards that I can apply towards the cost of grooming which is really helpful and allows me to go to the groomers regularly.

Has anyone gone there recently? Apparently for the 1st time in 4 + years getting groomed here, my dogs "tongue turned purple" from stress. Ok, sorry. 1st time for my pet. So, they returned a wet, unbrushed dog. They refunded the undercoat fee. Now I have paid $80 and still have to comb him out.

The gal who does their kitty cuts is great. She used to work at the South Hill Petco, but moved to Bonney Lake. It is hard to find a groomer who can/will give cats a haricut. And while I love my cat, when his hair is its normal length, I am allergic to him. With his haircut I am not. So I am VERY happy with the service.

First of all, though we got there a few minutes early (b/c I respect others' time), they weren't ready to check our dog in until 15 minutes after our appointment time. When they were ready, an older woman just came up and started removing my dog's gentle leader - improperly!! I was quite taken aback, and couldn't believe she'd just do that. She didn't communicate what she was doing, or ask me to do it, or anything. Just started removing it. My dog could have run out the door because of how she did that. And then the gal that was checking us in explained it could be as much as 3 or 4 hours, b/c they might have a lot of walk-ins. I couldn't believe that even though we had an appointment, they would give preferential treatment to walk-ins. I would have thought that appointments would get priority, and walk-ins would only be accepted if they were able to fit them in, WITHOUT sacrificing appointments. Well, hopefully our dog won't need another bath, b/c I don't want to bring her back after this experience.

Aly was so patient with my dog. She was covered in mattes and Aly spent 3 hours with her, giving her breaks throughout the process to help minimize stress. She called me to update me on how the grooming process was going and gave me a number of grooming ideas to try at home. Aly is by far the best groomer that we have ever used.
