The staff are always helpful! But they gave me 2 used textbooks when I ordered new ones :( The prices are higher than they need to be on many of the books and rentals are overpriced, and sometimes a rental costs the same as purchasing it.

Very convenient store for students. You pay a little bit more for the convenience of location. Staff is usually helpful, but if you go in when they are understaffed, you might have to wait awhile.

My wife is an alumni of WWU. After not being on campus for 34 if was fun to walk around campus and stop by the bookstore for some WWU apparel. The staff was great and very helpful! Prices were also very reasonable! Thank you!

The employees are always very helpful and can point you in the direction. There is also a lot of cool stuff you can get here as well as just some necessities like cold medicine if you need it. A little more expensive than other stores but good in a pinch.

In regards to their online orders: Several times I've been waiting weeks for a book to "come in" after ordering it online. When there is a copy of the book that is sitting on the shelf in the store. So I've had to cancel an online order to just buy it in store way too many times. Also apparently their payment security isn't up to snuff because we just had a credit card stolen after using their site. Neat.

Very nice bookstore with a good gift selection too. The staff have always been friendly. I'd come here much more often if not for the parking situation. There's no nearby public parking - just student parking lots, and even those aren't very close. Or cross your fingers and try to get street parking a couple of blocks or more away.

Don't buy your school books here. Avoid buying your textbooks and books here as much as you possibly can. Some of my books arrived over a month late for my classes, so I basically wasted my money and had to read online versions (so I guess I shouldn't have even bought the books from there in the first place). Sometimes they don't even send email confirmations when your books are ready. Student grades and success in classes depend on textbooks and books from this bookstore and the bookstore is completely failing to provide basic student materials in a timely manner, which I think is unacceptable and detrimental to Western students' academic careers. Students who need books: avoid buying books from here as much as you can.

This is not the location of the bookstore. The bookstore is located by the Viking Union on the other side of campus next to vendor's row. They usually have everything you need, slightly over priced, but the staff are always friendly and helpful. I found it cheaper to buy my textbooks online via Amazon or some other store. Book buy back is convenient and usually fair (remember they don't make the pricing decisions!). At the beginning of the quarters, the checkout lines can be very daunting, but they actually move quickly because the staff works so well.

the store itself is totally fine, but honestly you're probably better off buying your textbooks online/second hand, in part because of the ridiculous expense of buying them here, and also because the bookstore is extremely inconsistent with actually getting proper supply, so you may be stuck without the materials you need for weeks.

Do your best not to buy from the Western Book store! It takes a long time to ship and be processed, every time I order there’s a mix up with addresses or extended wait times! If you can just rent online or look for the materials somewhere else

Got some terrible customer service, the employee was very rude. Also, don’t buy books from here. You’ll get your books faster ordering them on amazon than you will standing in line. On a good day, there’s only 15 people ahead of you in line to check out.

I know this is a crazy time during the pandemic, but I got a call a few days ago about a problem with my order and that I needed to get in touch ASAP to keep my books. I have called for 3 days in a row and no one has answered any of my calls or messages. It doesn’t matter what extension I try to get through, there is no answer from anyone. Very frustrating and am disappointed in the staff of the bookstore.

If your book is required you usually can find it here New or used . Other great Books not required for Western Classes and book buy back. Way more here than you would expect, (electronics) Highlight WESTERN BRANDED STUFF! check out the wwu alumni merch and nalgene glo in the dark wwu wide mouth bottles I GRABBED ONE...IT BROKE BUT NALGENE WARRENTEED IT. Also stickers and wwu clothing. Easy to find office supplies and book related things.
