I enjoy coming here because there is a large variety of items and the aisles are spacious. There are a lot of low quality items that are overpriced, such as those freebie coffee mugs with health insurance logos for $3.39, dirty baking sheets for $5.49, etc. There are treasures to be found. The self check-out is pretty cool. Easy to use and I can bag my items the way I want to.

There donation system and what they do is absolutely amazing. Buuuuut they have ridiculous policies including not being able to try on clothing items and yet you can’t return clothing items only exchange them. Well behaved dogs are also not allowed even though they vary no perishable items. Every thrift store I have ever been to I have been able to bring my dog to including local antique shops and smaller businesses so why a corporation can’t baffles me. Kids can run amok and distort shelves and crack heads can eat right next to you while your shopping and but my 10lb dog can’t sleep in the cart peacefully.

Great selection. Always has a half price discount. New things coming in constantly. They have a great rewards program. Most of the prices are cheaper than Goodwill. Huge selection of shoes, jackets, hats, gloves, jewelry, books, Knick knacks, blankets, sheets, towels, children’s toys, clothes, games

I used to come here all the time! I really like the options they have here. But their price is lately have gone up at least $3 to $5 per item (and that's if they're being really nice). It's really upsetting because now they're on the same level as a lot of actual antique shops or brand new items I could find a regular outlet. I walk out of here with two items and it's like $30 just like if I went to Target. At that point you might as well just go to Target I guess. I just wish that they priced items accordingly, since it's all donated anyway? I understand the labor costs are thing but if every item they sell one or two items it pays for an hour of somebody's work. It doesn't really make a lot of sense to me. I'd say unless you're looking for furniture, it's not super worth it anymore.

It’s honestly just never worth going in. The options are beyond bland. I swear, the items are practically the same every time I come through.I understand that they need to turn a profit, but selling Romwe items for a higher price than what they’re originally sold for is pretty blatantly unacceptable. If you’re going to sell pilled items, they shouldn’t be over 50% of the initial value.

We had a piece of furniture that we wanted to buy. Only problem was there was no tag. We tried to ask for help at the self checkout, but was ignored by 3 employees. We decided to go to a checkout with a clerk to purchase the item and get a price. But while standing in line someone told us a self checkout was open and we then just tried to say there was no price on the item. Then I assume the manager came up to us and started getting mad at my partner saying that we didn’t look for the price, getting aggressive telling us that the price she gave was $15.99 but there was no communication of the price to us. But I then told her that there was no problem and that we just wanted to buy the item. The lady then got aggressive and continued to be rude about the item to the point that we didn’t want to purchase it anymore. It was very uncalled for to start arguing with a customer like that over a price issue. I’ve never had customer service like that before.

Honestly, bellingham Value Village is one of the better ones I've been to. Always has a lot of stuff. Pretty big store for our area. Always has a good rotation of items.

I love this thrift store. It is very well organized into sections. Men's pants, men's shirts, men's shorts, men's sweats, men's jackets, etc. Then, each section is divided by sizes and colors. Some other thrifts stores pile everything into a single section. And you have to go through rack after rack just to find the items you're looking for. Always bring extra cash, because I usually find more stuff.

certain attendant is extremely rude. I was making two separate purchases here, half of my items on one card and the other half on my second card. as I began to scan my second round of items at self checkout, she came over and told me I was attempting to steal, to conceal items and that I would not be allowed to purchase any of the items I had begun checking out in my second round because what I was doing was "the same as shoplifting" (her words). She didn't force me to leave or kick me out, but did tell me that the items I was in the middle of buying would not be coming home with me. When I tried explaining that I was doing this second round of items on a different card AFTER I had already paid for my first round of items (and showed her the reciept) she rudely refused to listen, confiscated the items from my hands and told me "this conversation is over". unfortunate that the customer service here is terrible. A younger employee came up to me afterwards and apologized, but the frustration for me was that I was not allowed to buy the items I had picked out. Hoping to go back later to try to find them in store again, but afraid I will get reprimanded by the same employee! So embarrassing for her. Two of the items I was about to buy in my second round were not priced (a small blue lunchbox tin and a mini lamp shade, both of which were definitely not worth over $5 each, so nothing large or valuable). I was going to call the attendant over after I had scanned my other two or three items. I had about 10 small items between both transactions, not an overly large or suspicious amount. She had come over before I was able to finish scanning, so she assumed I was trying to steal the unpriced items in particular. She commented that unpriced items are why the attendants are there, and that my attempt to steal them was not going to go unnoticed. She shut me down before I could explain that I was going to flag someone down AFTER scanning my other items. So strange.

I purchased a $55 pot here - just moved from out of state and had to replace everything. I got it home and removed the sticker, then realized the enamel was gone on a pea size spot inside the pot. I went to return it and they told me they couldn't do anything. Why ARE you selling items that are dangerous for the consumer!???! I am out $55 a result of your teams' negligence - nothing said final sale - NOTHING. You got these items as donations, many of which came from YOUR CUSTOMERS - you would not exist without them! Treat them with a modicum of decorum and respect. I bought it knowing I could return it with a receipt. Stop allowing children to run your stores, letting them deliberately screw over people that cannot afford to lose money. Do better!

Lashay is a very rude person. They don’t know how to talk to customers. If I knew what days that they weren’t going to be there, then I would be able to shop there. No use shopping there if there’s even a chance ill run into her.

Never updated their hours to pre covid so they close too early, and everything is 12.99 and up now it seems. Even cheap clothes is never less than like 3.99. seriously $15 for some nike running shorts that are $25 new, insane pricing. I thrift religiously but its more worth it to drive to the bins in seattle than spend $60-100.

Ludacris prices, they get this stuff for free! They wanted 16$ for this old used T shirt. This was just one example of the insane prices, but everything was this way. People don't forget this is a for-profit company. I recommend the other thrift stores in the area that are not for profit.

Some of the workers there seemed a little off was accused of stealing and was told to empty my pockets and told them and showed them I was not. My brother said he tried to get a job there and got a interview and the employer looked like a drugged out meth head who was falling in and out of consciousness and he said it was the worst interview he had ever been to they kept him waiting around. Other then that and how much lint and fabric dust is in the air walking around in there they do have some neat stuff. Which I like donated a ton of stuff to also at somtimes.

Nothing like getting told to go to one self check by one employee, then reprimanded by another employee for cutting in line? What the hell?

I visited vv on a trip to Bellingham to see my son marry the love of his life. I had so much fun shopping here and found some great deals including this California pottery that is the same as what my grandmother bought for my mom when she got married in the 60's! What a score and a sweet surprise! I also found madras curtains, brand new shoes, picture frames, silk pillow cases, a nice wool dog blanket, wool rug, curtain rods and a hardcover kurt Vonnegut book. I broke the kids vacuum while I was there and found a decent replacement. Found local shirts for souvenirs, vintage towels and a bunch more treasures. Love this place. Cashiers are friendly and helpful.

Rude receiving crew that likes to threaten people that are there alone. I'm really surprised that value village allows these two bigots to work for them. They failed to greet me properly or even give me a coupon for my donation. I wonder what they were biased about? I'm going to come back in a few more months and see if they're still working there.

This place has crack addict prices. The management sucks. I'm a a 6' 5" man that don't dress fancy and this place has made jc penny and Burlington coat factory the discount clothes store. This used to be the place you went for clothes because you were poor and wanted to look better than Walmart. I have seen used Walmart shirts that are double priced in here. The only thing that is worth coming here for at this point is books and if your lucky a cheap chair if it's the tag of the week. Not only do they have crack head prices but crack head attitudes to compliment the prices. They don't know why you are shopping in their store, but they will make sure you feel unwelcomed.

I used to shop regularly at Value Village, but haven't gone in since before COVID started. Apparently they have recently removed the fitting rooms completely. Unfortunately, this makes it impossible for me to shop for clothes there any longer, as I try on everything before deciding to purchase. Fitting rooms weren't great before, with cleanliness and wait times being among other issues, but at least they existed. I would point towards this being a staffing & managerial issue with the company, as it should not be difficult to offer quality fitting rooms if stores are staffed properly. They also don't offer returns for refund or store credit, and only offer exchanges, so it's risky to buy anything without knowing whether it fits or not.

I would be giving 5 stars because the purchases we made this trip were outstanding scores, as always when I have gone here to find treasures. My beef right now is with the SELF CHECKOUT bandwagon Value Village has jumped on. You know, the one that takes the jobs from your employees and puts it on your customers to do. I'm shocked. It's been years since I have been to your store and I could not believe you would seriously even consider doing this. I will never use self checkout. I pay for goods that get donated to your store for FREE. Now you want ME to be the shopper AND the cashier while your company rakes in the dough selling donated merchandise - should I chat to myself about my cool finds whilst I scan my items as? Um, NO!! So I did the only thing I could do, and went to the only real register with an ACTUAL person to checkout. Super mad VV has succumbed to taking industry jobs from good Americans and replacing them with a legion of self checkout.

I have always enjoyed shopping here till recently. Went in to find only self-checkout. This is a store where people drop off stuff and they make money off your stuff, the least they could do is keep checkers employed. I will not be returning, if this is the convenient way of the future count me out.

I bought "A Very Minty Christmas" from this location last week and have just gotten around to trying to watch it. I say trying because when I put in my child hood christmas movie into my DVD playing device all it could say was that it couldn't understand the disc. I took it out and after further inspection of the I realized with dread that it was a burned music CD. I put it into my computer to double check and sure enough the SOUNDTRACK OF THE MOVIE started playing. Below is a picture of the case and all I am saying is that I am absolutely livid right now.

I used to really like shopping here, but in the last few years they've taken away the fitting rooms, gotten rid of the regular checkouts (it's all self-check now), and the prices have gone up significantly. Finally, today the clerk watching the self-check watched us check out, and then as we were leaving demanded that we show her our receipts (not asked, no please or thank you). We showed them to her, and then she just walked off. She didn't bother to check our shopping bag - surely if she actually thought we were sneaking stuff through the check out, she would have looked in our bag? I wasn't even wearing a jacket... meanwhile some sketchy dude in a huge coat just walked right out past us. If you wanted to make some random paying customers feel bad for no reason, congratulations I guess. It honestly made no sense. I'll definitely think twice before coming here again. It's really changed, and not for the better.

I really like this thrift store. Some prices are very high. I paid $12 for a toy that when I got home and opened the battery compartment it literally leaked corrosion all over my lap. The staff is very friendly! I don’t think I have ever had a problem with any of them. I will continue shipping. Although I do hope that if they charge so much for a toy they atleast check it works.
