Breakfast sandwich was amazing! If looking for vegan cuisine I would encourage you to try this spot. Came for brunch and I found it odd that it was only served until 11. We were there at 10:45 and they were out of the monster burrito and berry compote for the waffles. Our food took over half an hour but the service was great and she let us know. The staff tried to provide suggestions and options to the items they were out of. The space is next door to a dog kennel of sorts so the sound of dogs was prominent.

We have ordered custom cakes for a wedding, baby shower and birthdays over the past couple of years. We're specifically needing dairy-free, and these are the best vegan cakes we have had! They're always beautiful and delicious!Dietary restrictions: Dairy-free

Most recent loves are the Reuben and the Philly sammies, with a side of soup (like tortilla). Daaaaang good! Same high quality as a former Colorado haunt, Watercourse. The Reuben actually haunts me. It's got this crispy grilled outside with all the meaty, yummy insides. With the Philly, you can get au jus for dipping.--------Fantastic comfort grub. Big menu. I was smitten by the biscuits & gravy and the Reuben. Can’t tell it’s vegan.

This place was amazing! The Philly cheese steak was so flavorful and great texture and the blackened fish sandwich was just as good. The soup of the day we had was the peanut curry and goodness, we could eat that everyday. Overall one of the best vegan restaurants we’ve ever been to, will definitely be coming back whenever we’re in Bellingham/driving through. 100% worth the visit!Vegetarian options: All vegan!Dietary restrictions: Vegan

Been vegan for 4+ years and this is some of the best breakfast food I’ve had! The tofu scramble and pancakes are better than anywhere else I’ve tried, hands down. The server we met also makes an absolutely fire cappuccino.Dietary restrictions: All items are vegan

My husband and I came here twice on our vacation. The first visit was because of a reccomendation on Reddit. The second visit was because the food was SO GOOD we had to have it again before we left. It was a 45 minute drive from our Airbnb, but absolutely worth it. The customer service here was great, the staff was super friendly and clearly care about your experience here. The first photo features the Italian Tomato Soup and a Reuben, and the second soup photo is the French Dip sandwich. The pastry is a Pumpkin Spice cake. We took blueberry scones and a cupcake to go on the second trip, which were equally delicious.Vegetarian options: Completely vegan, completely deliciousDietary restrictions: Completely vegan, it was so nice to enjoy a meal without worrying whether or not the kitchen remembered to sub the dairy!

Stopped by for lunch as I was in the area. Food was amazing! Had their Cajun "Fish" sandwich with a side of soup (They had Chili today) and Cappuccino with their house "milk". Everything was fresh and flavorful.I would definitely be back whenever in the area again. The staff was super friendly and nice to talk to, which always adds to the experience. Thanks for serving amazing vegan food! 🌱💚Vegetarian options: Everything on the menu is vegetarian friendlyDietary restrictions: Everything on the menu is vegan!!! 💚🌱

It's rare that I have such a polarizing food experience. The vegan Cafe is adorable. The scone was absolutely delicious. But the beverages were just ok. The food, not great. And if I'm eating anything, I want it to be great. I think there is a lot of opportunity to make this place great based on the other vegan spots I went to in Bellingham this week. But go try it for yourself. My advice? Get a scone. They're fantastic!

My sister's girlfriend has an extreme deathly allergy to dairy, so we assumed this place would be great for her as an all vegan restaurant. Although after one of our visits she did have a reaction that landed her in the ER. When talking to the nurse she had mentioned we were not the first people to have a dairy reaction to something at their restaurant. We had vegan cheesecake, a muffin, and a scone. I called them and asked if there could be any cross contamination and she assured me it was impossible. So please if you have a dairy allergy, still take precaution with this place.Dietary restrictions: Severe dairy allergy....was not safe to eat here.

Visited here from out of town. So tasty! Crystal, the owner, is also the baker. Everything is made from scratch. We had ordered a cheesecake bar, banana nut muffin, the gluten free Wild Oat cookie, and a blackberry scone with lemon glaze to go. We couldn’t help but sample them before leaving the cafe. They were so good, we turned right around and ordered another of each in case the snow prevented us from being able to return the next day for more! We also ended up ordering breakfast. I love that the short stack pancakes came with a side of peanut butter for the child in our group. I also appreciated how the child’s hot cocoa came out ready to drink—not scorching hot. Husband and I had the breakfast burrito. Perfectly seasoned, not too salty. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Will definitely be returning any time we are in B-ham!

We had a delicious lunch on the way through Bellingham from Vancouver to Seattle. Super nice service and seriously delicious food. I don't know how the create such an extensive and quality menu in a small cafe, but they do! So good and we can't wait to come back.(The smoked turky sandwich, Italian cold cut sub, and tomato soup were AMAZING!)

I didn't even know there was a vegan cafe in Bellingham! I grew up here, but live in Seattle now. I come up every so often because my parents' house is up here, and happened upon The Wild Oat when I was walking downtown looking for a place to eat. I eat dairy-free, so vegan places are always on my radar. This place was great! We went for Sunday brunch, and got the biscuits and gravy and Belgian waffles. The biscuits were fluffy and buttery, and the gravy was delicious. The roasted potatoes/peppers/onions underneath were great too. The Belgian waffles are HUGE and some of the best waffles I've ever had, vegan or non-vegan. They were somehow fluffy, soft, AND dense at the same time. My dining partner was convinced the maple syrup was the real deal, and was super happy about that. I also got a latte with their "house milk," a combo of soy and almond milk -- delicious! Not too expensive, either. Free WiFi too. I'll be back!

Hands down one of the best meals I’ve ever had! Got a lavender latte, a Reuben, and a Caesar salad! The dressing was incredible and the sandwich was so good! I cannot rave about this place enough!! The service was friendly and fast! Enjoyable little seating area! Will be back!

Went to Wild Oats with a group of five, of the five there was only one vegan. Everyone was happy with their orders! Perfect comfort food for a rainy Bellingham day. The drinks are yummy too!!!

Food was super yummy! Reasonable pricing! It took 40 minutes for my biscuits and gravy, and they weren’t busy. They also forgot my latte until I reminded them, and it’s was not good I took two sips and ended up throwing it out. But I struggle writing this review because the food was so dang good!

As a vegetarian of many years it's really exciting to be able to go to a cafe and order anything off the menu. Everything I've tried has been delicious, I especially love the blt which has coconut bacon (my favorite plant based bacon). Produce is always extremely fresh tasting! Great coffee and pastries as well. A hidden gem:)

Waited over 30 minutes for a reheated takeway breakfast burrito. We wouldn't have minded if we were told, or if the burrito was amazing. But it was soggy and definitely not worth the wait. The person who served us was lovely. Blueberry scone was delicious.

We all enjoyed our food although we were very disappointed not to get breakfast after 11 a.m We love breakfast! The chocolate cupcake with cream cheese frosting was absolutely delicious! I wish I would have picked up another to go! The vanilla cupcake was a little dense and heavy as was the lemon lavender, but the frosting was delicious.

Came here for breakfast/brunch and it was a pleasant experience overall. While it did take a few minutes to receive our order, it wasn't too much of an inconvenience. The highlight of this restaurant is undoubtedly the healthy food they serve. In fact, the dishes were so nutritious and delicious that I jokingly thought if I ever had a heart attack and recovered, I would eat here for the rest of my life! The portion sizes were satisfying, striking a good balance between being filling without being overwhelming. The emphasis on healthy ingredients was evident in every bite, and I appreciated the effort put into creating such wholesome meals. However, it's worth noting that The Wild Oat Bakery is slightly on the pricey side. While not exorbitant, it may not be suitable for those on a tight budget. Nevertheless, considering the quality of the food and the overall dining experience, I found it to be worth the price. The server we had was friendly and had a constant smile on her face, which added to the positive atmosphere of the restaurant.I would definitely visit again and highly recommend it to others seeking healthy yet delicious meals. Despite minor delays in receiving our order and slightly higher prices, the exceptional food quality and friendly service make this restaurant a worthwhile choice.

Cute place. The Belgian waffle was super delicious, so nice and crisp yet fluffy on the inside. I was indecisive for what I wanted for breakfast, so their lil sampler of the tofu scramble, potatoes, and biscuits and gravy was perfect. The biscuits and gravy was super delicious. I devoured it. The “egg and cheese scramble” was only disappointing because they don’t taste like scrambled eggs. I’d rather it just be called a tofu scramble as opposed to trying to be what it really isn’t. I also got a latte, and an americano for my roomate at home, but they were terrible. We ended up getting coffee from somewhere else. All the treats they have looked divine and had a great presentation. Overall, food was pretty good, coffee was awful, and covid safety guidelines were followed.

I absolutely love wild oat!! Their food is always so delicious and they always have the best pastries. I feel so grateful to have a vegan shop I can go to and order anything I want, and has all of the things I would want at a cafe. This is one of those places that everyone will enjoy, vegan or not.I special ordered a birthday cake recently from here and wow am I so glad I did! The owner and staff are so friendly and helpful, and they said they could customize any flavor of cake for me! I ended up getting a chocolate cake with coconut buttercream frosting and I’m not exaggerating it was the best cake i’ve ever had. It was moist and fluffy at the same time, and tasted like a high quality bakery cake. the buttercream was amazing and had cute little dollops on it. My whole family loved it, and a few people even said they wanted the same thing for their birthday.100% recommend getting anything here and you will be happy, and also do order a cake here for your next event! :)Dietary restrictions: All vegan with some good gluten free options.

I’ve been vegan for 5 years - when we travel we’re very food-focused… I’ve had many a good vegan sandwich… but the 3 sandwiches we ordered were seriously far & away THE best vegan sammies I’ve ever had! (Asian Portabello burger- soft, perfect ciabatta, fabulously marinated mush — Rueben & turkey with cranberry & cream cheese… WOWzuh!!! *I wish we had one of these in Boulder Co! Don’t take it for granted my friends, truly ^_^

I LOVE this place. I'm not vegan, but it's heaven on earth for those of us who can't handle dairy or eggs. The staff is lovely- good conversationalists who clearly care about the earth and the quality of food getting to their customers. I am so happy every time I have the waffle (I had it with vegan whipped cream this time and it just made me VERY happy). Thanks y'all!

I am a 30+ year vegan. I know good from bad vegan food. Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe is over the top delicious. Good clean healthy tasty comfort food with a delightful cafe. The owner is a stellar woman that has put her heart and soul into giving us the best food we could ask for. You don’t have to be vegan to enjoy their food. Give Wild Oat Bakery & Cafe a try, I promise, you will not be sorry. They have knocked it out of the park. And, best of all: no animals were murdered to make your meal.

Awesome little vegan café! The food is great with a lot of diverse options. We have been customers many times. I want to give this five stars, but we ordered take out and had a bad experience (and the owner was there too!). They told us it would be 20 minutes and it took 50 minutes with no apology. If you’re in a hurry, this is not a good stop for you. But if you have time and flexibility, it’s a good stop.

We visited this bakery/cafe as it is the closest place to our home in Canada that sold the Impossible Burger. Cozy little café and bakery serving a bunch of vegetarian options. Service was super friendly and prompt and prices were pretty much on par with what you would expect. The food was super good too, the bun that the burger came on was one of the better buns I have had on any burger and the impossible burger was really tasty (although a bit of a sodium bomb which has nothing to do with the Wild Oat Café but more to do with the manufacturer of the patti). I would not hesitate to return to this place next time we are in Bellingham and would recommend to friends.
