I was extremely impressed with the work Sullivan Plumbing recently completed. An estimate was provided, but once work started, additional issues arose which called for an alternative Plan. No one lost their cool, they continued working in a professional and competent manner and though the alternative required an unplanned visit, they held to their original estimate. I was especially impressed with their lead, Scott Macdonald. He was a pleasure to work with while Sullivan Plumbing was on-site. I would recommend Sullivan Plumbing to anyone in need of plumbing work.

Plumbing issues are NEVER fun, but we feel very fortunate to have met Don Dawson in the midst of a doozy. He is a good and decent human and that goes a LONG ways in our book. And he has assembled a great team as well.We had a complex plumbing problem arise in a home that houses a young family with 3 kids under the age of 10 - and only one bathroom. Don took us under his wing and saw us through every aspect, coming up with solutions that were rock solid (and creative!) that we feel very confident in.He was very easy to communicate with, calm, knowledgable, and presented us with options all along the way that took many factors into consideration. He and his team were there when they said they'd be there and worked efficiently. They were mindful of noise, disruption to daily lives and schedules, cost, and came up with designs that were both cost effective and result in easier and more effective maintenance moving forward.He made sure every step of the way that we were given opportunity to ask questions and be part of the decision making process. He also was welcoming of our desire to inspect the work in progress and made sure we were satisfied with every aspect. Who does that anymore?? It kind of blew us away. If we had questions, he took time to explain.We had a lot of opportunity to interact with the office staff - and they were fantastic as well! We found each person to be friendly; their communication and responsiveness were first rate.I cannot say that we look forward to any more plumbing problems, but I can say with all honesty, that we feel very confident in knowing who to call when the next time comes. Can’t say enough good about Don and his team. A huge thank you to Sullivan Plumbing and in particular Doug & Tracy Dawson and their most capable and knowledgeable employee Nick. During our recent freeze our pipes burst and Sullivan came through to help us during a most difficult and stressful time. As many people in our area had major plumbing issues due to the freeze Sullivan was jammed with calls. Nick was able to come assist us very quickly and for that we are beyond thankful. When no other after-hours plumbers answered my calls, Sullivan did! Nick, specifically, was at our apartment within an hour of calling about a backed up kitchen sink that began overflowing on a Sunday evening. It wasn't a simple clog and he diagnosed it and politely informed our neighbors of the issue. He didn't give up until the issue was resolved, and took care to write a detailed description so my complex could properly reimburse us. He went out of his way to talk with the apartment managers the next day & outline preventative measures. 10/10 recommend Sullivan when you're SOL!

Hired Sullivan to repair a leaky kitchen sprayer hose and leaky shower head. He charged us over $800 after telling us to buy a new kitchen faucet sprayer (because he didn't know the brand so couldn't replace the hose) and go to Lowe's to buy a new cartridge for the shower head. The plumber constantly interrupted me while working from home to "educate" me on what he was doing, repeatedly lost parts around my house (and left behind a wrench at our water shut off) and didn't satisfactorily fix either problem. However, he still charged $865 for replacing angle stops under the sink and changing the cartridge I had to buy on my lunch hour because he didn't have basic parts. He told me Sullivan gives their plumbers the freedom to set their own pricing and determine charges for themselves. I've used and liked Sullivan Plumbing in the past but will never use them again. I just had a $4200 hot water heater put in and called Gary's instead.Service: Faucet repair

Had Sullivan come out twice in 6 months for service on two separate tankless hot water heaters.Sam was our plumber each time and he was excellent. He was thorough and took the time to explain his processes. I had a number of questions that he seemed happy to answer.I was particularly impressed when he went the extra mile by calling the tech support for our German-made tankless unit to make sure the issue was fixed right. This level of service led me to request Sam when my mom had a tankless hot water heater issue.Will contact Sullivan again for any future plumbing issues!Service: Water heater repair

Nobody ever wants to "have" to call a plumber but we did and we're glad we called Sullivan. From the first call Amy was responsive and up front with expectations. She offered to put us on a cancelation list and scheduled us to their first available appointment (a couple of business days out). Within an hour we received a call moving up the date up to one business day out and a couple hours later we received a call, from Amy, saying they could squeeze us in that day. Matt and Chris were personable and professional from the start and within a couple hours they had everything fixed and were on their way. Great communication and excellent service at a fair price. Very disappointed in Sullivan. Asked plumber to look at my on-demand water heater in newly purchased home. He told me it needs to be re-plumbed to meet code. He said he would arrange it and Sullivan would call me. They never called. I called them at least four times over a few weeks. Each time they gave me reasons for not moving ahead and promised to set up the service and call me with appointment. I finally gave up, never heard from them and they would not give me a appointment, kept saying they were waiting on the plumber for information. Guess they are too busy for my business. Too bad, seems like they are capable of excellent service. Now I will be out the cost of an initial visit from another company.Addendum: owner Don called me after seeing my review. He apologized for the poor service, asked what he could do to make it right. I already hired another plumber so he offered to refund the charges of his plumbers visit. We discovered a leak in our expansion tank, and even after a time of lots of snow and freezing temperatures with many plumbing emergencies, the people at Sullivan made time for us. The owner, Don, came out himself twice to assess and repair. He found our pressure was too high as well and replaced a valve. If he hadn’t discovered it, we would have ended up with more plumbing troubles, so the leak and his astute assessment helped us. I've used Sullivan plumbing ever since I had an emergency and they saved the day. Over the years I have gotten to know several employees of the company and think highly of each of them. Most recently, Satchel was able to quickly install and trouble shoot some plumbing issues in our home and uncovered another problem that presented a safety issue to my family. He dealt with that quickly and efficiently as always and the entire staff treated us very professionally. From my experience they are very fairly priced as far as their standard rates and services on top of it all.

Our hot water tank was no longer working properly. We had used Sullivan in 2001 for a new tank and they were very prompt. called them again and it was the same excellent service. Matt and Satchel arrived and gave us different options and went ahead installing a new tank. It was great service and would definitely recommend Sullivan Plumbing to anyone who needs a good plumber.

I am so absolutely impressed with Sullivan plumbing and especially the amazing knowledgable owner Don. He saved me on a weekend with an emergency plumbing problem 2 days before renters moved in. I could not believe the unbelievable reasonable price for a back up and root removal from my sewer pipes. He went the extra mile to get to the bottom of the issue and why it happened. Also calling the city to do their part as well as having a solution to what I need to have done to prevent future issues. I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a good plumber. His 35 years of experience is obvious to his expertise and how he dealt with the entire situation. His friendly personality was just another added bonus. What a great team he and his wife Tracy are! They showed up on time and did the work efficiently, as always. We were originally quoted a higher price, but because the two repairmen were so efficient and completed the job in a timely manner, the bill was lowered to reflect that. Sullivan’s is awesome! Our main drain line collapsed in the yard and our whole house ended up needing to be repiped, all the way to the alley. Satchel is professional, confident and got right down to business. He came on time and was ready to work every day, and he explained everything he was doing in words that made sense. We had someone else (Gary’s plumbing, they charged $1,000 for pulling the toilet up and left a big mess) look at the job first but they were they refused to even look under our house, so we called Sullivan’s for a second opinion and we are so glad we did! I would definitely recommend them to anyone! No job too big for these guys! 5 stars all the way!

They installed my new water heater in a short time and made no mess.I am very satisfied with the job they did and the price. Another local plumber gave me a price quote of $600 more for the job.

So thankful for Kody at Sullivan. Called several places last night with an emergency clog. Had one guy said he was coming between the time I called Sullivan dispatch and got the call from Kody. I told him someone was already on the way. 15 mins later I get a call saying the guy from the other place isn’t coming yet because of a bigger emergency call. (After 11pm at this point.) Called Sullivan back and was told he had already moved on to his next call (totally understandable) but could come by early in the morning. He was here around 6 and out by 6:40. Other guy quoted me at least $700 and 2-4 hours time without seeing anything. Kody took a look before starting and it was just over $500 for everything (emergency hours charge and tax included). Thank you Kody and Sullivan!!! New to the area and disappointed with general customer service around here (compared to the Midwest where we’re from). It’s nice to know good customer service exists around here. Will definitely recommend Sullivan to anyone we meet looking for a plumber. :)Service: Drain cleaning

I am very pleased with Sullivan Plumbing. The plumber was knowledgeable, skilled and answered all my questions. He made an estimate before starting work and the final bill was slightly less than the estimate. I know some plumbing having owned and done work on several rentals. This guy was a real professional. I will use Sullivan Plumbing again.

Exactly as the receptionist described, Matt called about 30 minutes prior to the appointment. He arrived on time, assessed my plumbing problem, and went right to work.
