I’m finally switching away from this pharmacy after my experience today. About 75% of the time I come in, prescriptions aren’t ready, but this time was especially obnoxious.My wife got a call her prescription was ready, so I went in the next day to pick it up. They knew nothing about the call but saw the prescriptions and said they could fill them and it’d be 30 minutes. Annoying but whatever. I come back and get a new guy named Dylan, whose strategy seems to be to say nothing unless absolutely necessary. So he goes “date of birth”, “name” and then says it will be 30 minutes. I tell him about the call before and that I was already at the counter before, so I don’t have another 30 minutes. Dylan just stares at the counter and doesn’t say anything or look at me. The guy who helped me before also just stood off to the side at a computer and didn’t say anything. So I say that I don’t have the 30 minutes again and he just stands there and then I eventually left. It’s one thing to have confusion and not have something ready, it’s one thing to have something run late, it’s pretty annoying to not apologize, but to not even address someone and not give any care about them does it for me and this is the last time I do prescriptions here.

severely understaffed, causing a significant decline in service. will be on hold for over 45 minutes, phone is never picked up. good luck putting in an emergency refill request because it will not be done on time, leaving you without vital medication for days. put in a transfer request to move pharmacies over a week ago and it hasn’t been touched at all. i’m done with sacrificing my heath to receive poor service as a result. it is 100% not the employees’ fault, as they’re always very kind and understanding. safeway refuses to hire more people to actually care for their customers and i can’t take it anymore.

Subject: Disastrous Experience at Safeway PharmacyI feel compelled to share my utterly disastrous experience with the Safeway Pharmacy, an establishment that seems to excel in incompetence. My recent encounter has left me questioning the very foundation of their purported professionalism.To begin with, the staff demonstrated a staggering lack of knowledge. It was as if they had decided to embark on a pharmaceutical experiment without the prerequisite education. Their inability to provide accurate information not only perplexed me but also raised serious concerns about the standard of education within the pharmacy profession.Moreover, the sheer audacity of the staff to dispense incorrect information is both mind-boggling and downright dangerous. It's almost as if they believe accuracy and patient safety are optional components of their job description. Their blatant disregard for the well-being of their customers is nothing short of shameful.The need for a collective return to school appears glaringly evident. Perhaps a comprehensive refresher on basic pharmaceutical principles, customer service etiquette, and, most importantly, a lesson on the gravity of their responsibilities is in order. It's disheartening to witness a profession that's supposed to uphold the highest standards stooping to such alarming lows.In conclusion, my experience with Safeway Pharmacy has left an indelible mark on my perception of the pharmacy profession. If there's a silver lining, it's the hope that my scathing review serves as a wake-up call for Safeway to reassess its commitment to competence and integrity. Patients deserve better than the subpar performance and apathetic attitude exhibited by the Safeway Pharmacy staff.

One of the few pharmacies that seem to stock enough opioids so I usually don't have to wait a few days more for my pain relief ... and as folks know: if you wait too long for the refill, you get severe flu-like symptoms ... I really appreciate the care this pharmacy takes of its patients.

Be wary of VIJAY ATWAL - PHARMACIST of BELLINGHAM, WENATCHEE and surrounding areas. Vijay refused to fill an emergency non-narcotic medication due to “personal reasons”. The Bellingham Safeway store director, myself, and my husband spent an hour on the phone with the pharmacy service Safeway outsources through, and reported VIJAY ATWAL of BELLINGHAM / WENATCHEE WASHINGTON for his refusal to fill an emergency non-narcotic prescription medication. The store director said this is **NOT THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH VIJAY.** Please be wary of interacting with this pharmacist.

There’s anywhere between 2-3 people with headsets on and typically another 1-2 walking around, but it’s a hit or miss if they answer the phones at all or if anyone even comes to the counter to help you with your refills, etc.Being of the most staffed pharmacies in the state combined with there never being more than 3 or 4 people lined up in a rush… Kinda makes you wonder how Seattle pharmacies handle 10x the traffic with just one or two people on staff.

I have been using this pharmacy since my move to Bellingham 2 years ago. I have received excellent service though it has been a busy time for them. I have obtained all my standard vaccines and covid booster here. I want to acknowledge all staff as being professional and courteous. Recently I was at counter and was helped by Jennifer. Though it was busy when I asked them to call my Dr. to request a refill, Jennifer's response was that it was part of their personal service to provide those types of conveniences. I really appreciated that I was made to feel like a patient receiving 1 to1 service. Thanks to you all!

Update as of August 2021: Still not great. Still have to wait even when I call ahead but NOT every single time so yay progress!! Still have one pharmacist and one pharmacy tech who genuinely seem like they could not care less about customer service but the rest of the staff is pretty good. One pharmacy tech is amazing. I adore her, she's just the sweetest. Always feel relief when I see her behind the counter because I know things will be taken care of promptly if there should happen to be an issue.Update as of July 2019 this pharmacy is still awful. This pharmacy is the worst. Every single time I go to get a prescription filled they say, "half hour" 40 minutes later they say, anpther half hour. EVERY DAMN TIME. Or they will have it ready, and sitting there like they did two days ago and still have you wait another 20 minutes. Only 2 of the the people there seem like they care. None of the pharmacist care if they make you wait endlessly while they putter around. Never once have they apologized for the inconvenience or actually uad a script filled in the time frame they said. Not once. This place is the WORST

I used to love this pharmacy. I've been dealing with Les, Steve and Debbie since this was Cost Cutter Pharmacy. They were awesome. Unfortunately they all retired in the last year. Now there are all new pharmacists and pharmacy techs who are rude and inconsiderate. I've never had to stand there and wait an hour and a half for a prescription to be filled Now that's the new norm. I called in a refill for ml y mom 3 hours ago and its still not ready. I'll be looking for a new pharmacy soon.

Honestly one of the slowest and worst pharmacies ever. We’ve been going here for over a few years and nothings changed. It was going well for a few months and it’s just back to being extremely slow. We’ve waited for more than 5 hours for medication. The best decision I made was switching from here over to CVS. It’s much faster.

A terrible experience at the pharmacy today with two sick kids. Four people on staff, but we were kept waiting for more than ten minutes before even being greeted. While two staff members played with the current customer's dog. When we were finally greeted, I was told I would need to wait 45 minutes for my son's prescription. He's under a year and needed a simple antibiotic. I asked them to call me when it was filled and took my feverish baby home. Three hours later, after no phone call, I called to find out if it was ready to be picked up. It was.My husband retrieved the medication, but I had a question about the administration. So I called the pharmacy. The call went to an answering machine - around 5:30 p.m.Massive fail Safeway pharmacy. We won't be back.

Use Safeway for grocery shopping not for prescriptions all the non pharmacy staff is great!! I wouldn't give this pharmacy any stars. I use to go here more often, but they have now become very rude. They are not helpful and they act like they are so busy that they don't even have time to talk or deal with you and are nasty. I will stick with Walgreens from now on. Use a different pharmacy if you like helpful people and good customer service.

Staff are nice, but of the two meds I have to refill monthly, the more important one is never refilled in the time I'm told to expect it. One, but not both, of them refill automatically for some reason? Super frustrating when it's this much of a headache to get the meds that keep my migraines under partial control.

Customer service is always a hard job. I do it for a living. Every single time I call there is one lady who is short and rude. I Called just now. She was Short and rude again. I'm sorry if your having a bad day (every single time I call) but your customer service needs some work. I can never get your name because you hang up the phone every time I SAY THANK YOU. My order has been screwed up more times then I can count. I seriously don't know why I keep going back other then I can shop for food at the same place with my daughter.

WHY DOESNT ANYONE ANSWER THE PHONE AT THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've made three trips to this damn pharmacy for medications, last night i noticed they didnt fill another one that i need..so now i have to go back up there today yet again to have them try and fill and im sure i'll have to come back tomorrow because of something they didnt do

Produce section is colorful and carries a broad variety of vegetables and fruit. There are often vegetables I have never heard of stocked alongside my favorites.. The produce selection is fresh, attractive and compelling. So too are the other sections of this store.It is clean, well attended, and it has cheerful and helpful employees.I drive quite a long distance to purchase my groceries from this store, and am quite often pleasntly surprised that items on my grocery list are on sale. Let me emphasize that these sales offer tremendous savings over and above the savings I already realize from just shopping here.I drive right past my local grocery stores and pass a dozen or mire grocery stores on my way, because I know I will realize a savings on every item I place in my cart. This store is very competative!

I don't see a point to have an automated system if it's going to give the wrong information on when you can pick up your medications...it's not the 1st time this happens ....has this happened to anyone else? I sure hope not. I'll make sure to call and talk to someone in the pharmacy next time.
