Do not buy a heating pad from here, I bought one a year ago, used it once, tried to use it 6 months ago, it won't turn back on. My husband just bought one yesterday and he used it once and of course it won't turn back on!!! The rit aid brand sucks. I hope you guys got your coolers fixed. Also every time I purchase soda from here it is extremy flat no carbonation in it. This place is going down hill, starting to look loke the 711 next door, super ghetto store and staff, you can do BETTER. I manage a store and this store is out right disturbing, management does not care and it is clear!!! Inventory is pretty much depleted, not sure why this store stays open? I use to love this store but the past year has been terrible!!! Everything Hoey said 10 months ago is true top. He was a person who left a review on here too and clearly nothing changes at this store. No inventory, no working cooler's, and the staff is pure lazy!!! Kudos to you guys if you got your coolers to work, they were down for 6 months last year and now I just ignore them, never know if I'll get sour milk or nasty tasting soda cuz it sat in 90+ degrees for 6 months straight due to broken coolers. This store needs to be shut down with the rest of em.

In my recent interaction with the new pharmaceutical management at my local Rite-Aid, I have found myself disappointed in the poor quality of customer service to faithful customers. This particular instance stems from my experience with the new lead pharmacist. He has made FALSE accusations to myself and my doctor, stating that I might be selling my seizure medication. May I say not only is this false but harmful accusation is one of racial bias. I’m a POC, so it’s not surprising that the pharmacist would project a harmful stereotype; that reveals more about his mindset. This isn’t the first negative encounter I’ve had with this pharmacist. He told me the only way he would refill my prescription is if a nurse from my primary contacted him. After multiple nurses contacted him to approve the refill, the pharmacist then denied my refill and demanded to speak with my primary physician. During pick up, the young lead pharmacist continued to use my medication against me. He said, “You know it’s up to me if this gets refilled” attempting to bait me into an argument , and then began to backtrack everything he said over the last 3 days. I mentioned that multiple nurses and their supervisor spoke to the lead pharmacist, and asked if he was implying that they were lying. He reluctantly complied and began to fill my bottle. What I thought was helpful was that Rite-aid is encouraging people to report abusive treatment from staff, but instead are doing nothing about it.

I am really happy with this Rite Aid location. Even though I have moved across town, I still shop at this location. Friendly & helpful staff make it my go to for prescriptions, vaccinations, cards, etc.

I was truly so overwhelmed by the kindness, helpfulness, and efficiency of the pharmacy staff today at this location. My child was sick and another local pharmacy in town quoted 2+ hour wait on an antibiotic medication that I’d hoped my child would get before bedtime. I then asked our pediatrician to transfer the rx to Rite aid and the nurse immediately called it in to help expedite the process. I called Rite aid, I was able to get right through to the pharmacy department. The person on the phone knew exactly why I was calling and said they’d do their best and it would be about 40 minutes. I was thankful for the help and quick turnaround. I was called in only 10 minutes to tell me that the rx was ready but the other pharmacy had processed it through insurance so they couldn’t also run it and unfortunately their phones are impossible to get through to someone in a timely manner. The out of pocket cost was quite high but they offered the goodrx cost at a 5th of the cost and I was so appreciative for the help and offer to use goodrx! I arrived at the pharmacy and the pharmacy tech/assistant was helpful and welcoming and informed me the pharmacist further discounted the price due the frustration (which was not on them)! The pharmacist spent time going over the instructions and was just overall such a kind/helpful/welcoming person. I can’t speak more highly of this great experience involving many staff members at this location, I’m only regretful I didn’t get all their names! So this is my note of thanks and I just wanted to express how sincerely grateful I am for their kindness that turned a crumby situation around!

the most incompetent pharmacy i have ever been to. no matter when they tell me my ESSENTIAL prescriptions will be ready, i always show up to them not being available until the day after, or several days after, due to them needing to “special order” something. they fill the wrong size needles and the wrong dosages of controlled medications. they make my life as a chronically ill person hell, and they only ever give me the option to wait or go to a pharmacy across town. i would chose any other pharmacy if this wasn’t the only one accessible to me. Some of them are nice, but most of them are incredibly rude. I’m sure they go through hell at this location but i need my medications on the days i am supposed to pick them up. and if there is going to be a change in availability CALL THE PATIENT. beyond frustrating.

Parking lot is trashed and a cranky old male employee mouthed off to me because I walked in after they should have been open (9 a.m., like it says on the sign) through their very unlocked front door and just thought their automatic door wasn’t working. So yeah, not a great first impression.

No public restroom anymore. Pharmacy is understaffed by corporate resulting in longer fill times. Selection limited and dwindling. Staff are generally nice to me though!

I’ve kept it quiet, given you the last of my $. First off, you have this particular Employee in Pharmacy that needs to work on his Customer Service skills, cause he just doesn’t get it when a customer complains. He acted like he was directed at personally…Whoever at your distribution level, controls of inventory very very poor. This is not on the supply chain, it’s on you Rite Aid. Please close your doors and let some other Store(Bargreens or even CVS) operate here at this location. You have forced me to use Kroger, which will be your new Daddy. They really need to get their act together on their pharmacy inventory shorts😡

You gave me capsules for a medication that was supposed to be dosed in half-pills, when the medication instructions and the prescription both stated needing the pills to be halved, making it impossible to take. thanks, Riteaid.

I had to use the bathroom after a long drive from a hike, before shopping for essential items. I was told the bathrooms close at 6 pm. I do not appear to be on drugs/homeless etc. I ended up relieving myself in their bush outside! Called to talk to a manager, and voiced my complaint that I understand locking bathrooms, but to simply say, “they are closed” without using discretion is insane! Won’t ever shop there again!

I had the most incredible experience yesterday (a holiday) with the pharmacist at this location. My family was in crisis and he calmly took care of us. The other pharmacy’s in Bellingham were closed and he was scheduled to be off work shortly but took his personal time to help us. This is the exact type of person I’d like to have as my pharmacist. Some people were just put in your life to show you how to be better. He is that person. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Annie and Hazel.

Been my pharmacy for over a decade. Since a pharmacist change, they have become terribly unreliable. Excuses are: we are busy with booster shots and understaffed... My last 2 refills were up to 5DAYS late from what they clearly stated. 30 min round trip each time and a gout flareup for nothing but excuses and more excuses (and additional visits both times) ... SIMPLY do what you say. Need more time?. Say so, but hit the mark. You cannot trust the new leadership. All lip service which now wreaks of deceit. 3 strikes and you're out.

I used to receive excellent service from the pharmacy. Suddenly, the pharmacist and all of the trained assistants were gone. All new people. Multiple errors, frustration, drive through drop off doesn’t work. This should be an easy service, and I know you can do better. One more error and I might have to break up with you.

The Asian woman in the pharmacy is rude and short tempered my bf drove me to pick up my prescription in the later evening. We were the only ones in the drive thru no one was at the window so after waiting about 2 min my bf rang the bell twice. She immediately shuffled her way to the mic and told my boyfriend rudely (by tone of voice) I only need you to ring once. She said it with an attitude. Sorry we needed service we waited,no one came,we rang bell. If there’s a one ring limit post signage saying so instead of snapping at customers because you have to work. Idk what happened to the older pretty lady with long blonde hair but she was amazing for many years and why I stayed with this location even after moving across town. Everyone there should strive to be like her!

The pharmacy has become horribly unreliable. A couple of months ago, I realized I was running short on medication after a couple weeks (should've been a month supply). Took it in, and sure enough, they didn't give me all the pills needed. Most recently, my doctor sent in a prescription for 2 pills. After hearing nothing for 8 hours, I called and was told first that they didn't have it, then that they didn't have insurance for me, then that they did have it and it'd be a half hour. When I got the prescription home, it was 1 pill with no refills. My doctor verified that it should've been 2 pills, and said she'd send in another prescription. I even submitted for a refill on the app. It's been days, and I've heard nothing. So I called, and they said they didn't have anything and would request one. Who knows if I'll get it today, when I'm supposed to take it. I can't NOT recommend this pharmacy enough.

I had an emergency as I left my blood pressure medicine at home when I went out of town. I called them 36 times and nobody answered. The pharmacy that was trying to get the prescription called 12 times and nobody answered. I finally called a different RiteAid and explained what was happening. They apologized, put me on hold and never came back. It has always been a nightmare trying to get through to them. I transferred all of my medicines to RX on Sunset and am much happier. They actually seem to care about helping me!

ZERO stars. 2 days after I tried to get a refill for my insulin they still hadn't called or texted. I spent 4 hours (not an exaggeration , I have the calls record on my phone) trying to get thru to them without success, they just didn't answer their phone. So I left work to go and see what was going on because I didnt get my full dose that morning and i didnt want to miss my evening dose too. When i got there and complained about them not answering their phones for 4 hours they got surly and defensive and at one point they said I should "come back here and help us" do their jobs. So I said that was enough just give me my Insulin and I transfer the rest of my prescriptions to another pharmacy which I called and did later that day. More surliness ensued but I got my medication. The next day I got a refill due text. I called them and this time they actually answered. I told them not to refill any more of my prescriptions that I was not going to do business with them anymore. They took my information and said they would not. The next day I got a refill ready text. I tried to reach them, surprise surprise I couldn't get thru. I called my new pharmacy and asked about some refills that were due but they said that my old pharmacy had not sent them the information they had requested 2 days ago. My only option to get my refills was to pick up the one filled in direct contravention of my orders or wait until they sent the information to my new pharmacy which would take who knows how long. I still can't reach them and I'm wondering what it will take to get my medications... ever. DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY, THEIR INCOMPETENCE BORDERS ON NEGLIGENCE, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE THE MEDICATION ERRORS THEY PROBABLY MAKE!

Very knowledgeable staff who stopped at nothing to get my prescription filled. Had a nightmare situation with Medicaid where I was given the run around. The staff member took the time to listen to my story, sort through the details and made the phone calls to get it all straightened out.I will go nowhere else in Bellingham now - thank you Northwest Rite Aid Pharmacy!!! You have my gratitude! :)

I do not appreciate the pharmacist yelling at my daughter through the drive thru because she did not understand why her Rx was not being paid for after it has been paid for for 8 years! She did not know what the formulary was and why it mattered. So, she came home in absolute tears feeling like she was treated very disrespectfully by him. We could always go to another pharmacy. Very unfortunate that he was so demeaning to her.

Tom and James are exemplary pharmacists. They take the time and effort to know their customers, and they definitely go way above and beyond when dealing with doctors and the often frustrating quagmire of medical insurance. The whole crew at Rite Aid Northwest is exceptional, and we are very loyal to this location due to their efforts.

Rite Aid 3227 Northwest Ave in Bellingham, Washington 98225 has reinvented itself and become an amazing addition to our neighborhood. The NEW General Manager made all this possible by attending our neighborhood meetings with a compassionate and open approach. He and his staff are invested in our neighborhood. Employees attend our neighborhood picnic/events, make sure our schools have access to flu shots and SO much more. Thanks to Rite Aid's commitment to hire and support such amazing individuals that positively impact their surroundings to become safer and more community oriented. The new GM has brought back that "feel" of having a neighborhood pharmacy. We love our Rite Aid!

I called this store to get more information on something and spoke with a manager named Linda. Not only was she rude, but you can tell she lacks customer service skills. How she got the job as a manager, baffles me. I know it was close to closing time, but you should never act like that towards a customer.

When there's a buildup of people in line the cashiers never call for a second or third cashier resulting in long waits. I've also had a few mistakes with my prescriptions but they've gotten better over the last few months.
