This place is amazing! We drove up to PNW from Houston, TX for our honeymoon and I picked up a can of Kombucha Town Lavender from a gas station on Lummi Island. Knew I had to stop in when we were passing through Bellingham on our way to North Cascades to take tasties back home. Was confused on where the storefront was, thinking Culture Cafe was their storefront, but a quick call with Mike and he brought down a case of tasters to take back with me ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ such good people! I've been drinking and home brewing kombucha since 2016. So far have only tried Kombucha Town's Lavender, but it has just right amount of sour/sweet and salty brightness. I prefer a bitier effervescence to my kombucha over the flatter sweeter tea forward varieties. They've got their brew down! Will definately be ordering online when we get back home for the upcoming season!

Why aren't you eating here? This cute corner of downtown holds a brilliant little shop that has some high end deliciousness. Their pork belly is to die for, crispy and rich. They serve it with watermelon, and the acidity balances the dish. Their wings are crispy and juicy. My favorite dish was the Loco Moco. It seems super basic, but the seasoning elevates it from simple to a joy to eat. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. The space is pretty and the staff are personable, too.

I was told there was a 30 minutes wait when there were two visibly open tables and zero line at the door or anywhere. They didn't know we were meeting friends. When we sat down the waitress came to the table and got drinks for the other but us. They didn't come back for 15 minutes. In between that time period I went to the bar to grab a drink and was told they would come to my table. They didn't. Terrible service. Over priced and terrible attitudes. Go to Caps next door. Better prices, better service. Don't waste your time.

The service is always great, and the menu has a little something for everyone and is very fairly priced! I really like the kombucha cocktails, and the pinch buns as a nice post work decompress with my covid pod, when we feel comfortable going out. You can see they are following mandates and keeping a clean space for us to enjoy, and its very appreciated! Thanks y'all!

I always want to eat everything on the menu--and have never been disappointed. Love the infusion of fermented foods into their menu. It's great to have a healthy, tasty, satisfying place to grab lunch or late night snacks. Especially their poke! Great game selection, and of course the kombucha. Plus Kombucha Town is a great company doing its part to model how businesses can operate in a way that is good for people, planet, and the economy.

Really impressed about price for the value - great food and not too harsh on the wallet! It’s a fun atmosphere as well. Some pretty delicious cocktails and a wide variety of food options for all dietary restrictions. Overall, quite happy with this place!

The drinks were good but the service left much to be desired, guy at the bar was rude and obviously didn't want to be there. Asked about buying a growler but he didn't go into detail or start that process, just said yeah they sell them then walked away. Disappointing for my first visit, I had been excited to go but in couldn't wait to leave once I got my order in.

I'm a big fan of Kombucha Town so I was very excited to visit them while visiting Bellingham for the day. But by the time I got there, they were already out of their seasonal brew which is what I came to taste. It's a nice bar nonetheless, and a musician was setting up when we left. I will try again in the future.

This place is nice. You can bring kids and many people do. There's a full bar including the kombucha. The food is lighter fare, but includes appetizers and main dishes. Decorations include nice artwork and wooden tables. Very zen place to hang out.

Live musicians were great, but acoustics were so horrible it didn't matter how good they were. Food interesting and tasty, no servers, order at the counter. Don't go for the music, wait til your fave group plays a concert hall. Seats here are uncomfortable, and the glass door-wall backing the stage bounces sound so badly it's just cacophony. Noisy, noisy restaurant, VERY casual, edgy vibe.

Wow oh wow did they take a long time to get my food out. I think I waited close to an hour for my quesadilla. It was a DELICIOUS quesadilla though. And good drinks at a reasonable price. Just make sure you budget plenty of time for any eats.

Kombucha was so good I bought a subscription. They have now billed me twice for orders I did NOT place after my subscription ended. I have emailed them at least 5 times and left a voicemail to get this sorted and no response. Terrible customer service in that regard. And now something that should have been easy to sort out is now terribly unpleasant. This has been an awful experience for me and I will not be purchasing from them again. In sum, delicious kombucha, terrible customer service, subscribers beware.

There's lots to like about this place. The space is unique, and welcoming. You order at the bar.The bartender was hip and friendly. Kombucha Town has a long-standing commitment to healthy food, environmental concerns, and the general funky Bellingham vibe. The menu is also unique, healthy, and ambitious. A guy at the bar was raving about how good his burger was. My wife had the blueberry crostini and really liked it.The problem is that the white rice, which made up my two orders, was awful. I had the happy hour yellowfin tuna sushi. They were out of nori (hard to make sushi without it) so the 4 pieces were an attempt at nigiri style. They were huge ovals of rice topped with very skimpy pieces of tuna, some kale, and pickled onion. It might have gone down okay if the rice was anywhere close to sushi rice. Instead, these big globs were mushy totally overcooked rice with no seasoning at all. I left most of the rice on the plate. The yellowfin tuna harvest wrap was much better. It was nicely grilled, and in contrast to the "sushi", was filled with a generous amount of fresh and tasty tuna. Unfortunately, it was also filled with the rice, but the quantity was much less, and so it was more balanced and satisfying. It was a hot summer day, and a pint of their excellent kombucha was really nice. The prices were reasonable. They have a good selection of beer on tap, though oddly lacking in selections from Bellingham's great breweries.I do intend to give this place another try, as most everything was great. I do hope that in the meantime the kitchen will bone up on properly preparing sushi rice, and they will not repeat the cardinal sin of running out of nori.

I got food delivered from the local delivery place thought I would give this place a try. I hate to give negative reviews but I just have to on this one.I got the fried rice with bluefin tuna and the fried rice was so freaking salty I just couldn't eat it. And I like to eat! I had also gotten a build your own bowl and the kalua pork was super salty as well. I had to mix the white rice and with the fried rice to even attempt to eat it.I will say this though the baked empanadas were freaking delicious it's just that $9 for two little ones the size of pot stickers I probably won't again.

I lived in Bellingham for 2 years and enjoyed this place very much for their poke bowls, then I had to move back to Spokane when the pandemic started. I came back to Bellingham recently to run some errands in one day and have that amazing poke bowl, only to get disappointed for the smallest serving of poke for $16 😥.

Good food, great drinks. The Kombucha is good and you can get it lots of places, but it's worth coming here to get the signature Kombucha cocktails. There seems to always be something going on here, it's never a dull experience.

Food was good, but could use some Portland ketchup. The potatoes ware great but dry without ketchup. Otherwise the atmosphere was warm and hip and great for groups.

THE spot to go to for a drink and to hang out. The bartenders found a $2 bill that was super old and we were trying to figure out if it was worth a mill! Haha. All the bar patrons are pretty tame and the place has live music! Bartenders, if your on your yacht let me know if there's room.

Great food during the day, great drinks and music at night, this place really has it all! Always has a regular attendance, rarely packed, a great place for a group night out on the town, in close proximity to all the other downtown clubs and bars!!

I love this place. I never really go in before 10pm (aka I'm only there for the drinks), but it is just fun to be in. Good drinks, even if you're not a kombucha lover, and a decent dance floor make this place a good stop on any night downtown.

Bartender and food preparer were stellar. Attentive and and friendly. Pride is evident in what they do. Food? AMAAAZZZINNNGGG. Salmon crostinis were fantastic, that red bell pepper sauce on them made the dish! Salmon tacos good too. And they are famous for their kombucha for a reason. Try the cranberry! I am originally from Dallas, TX and hard to please food-wise. This place is perfection all the way around. Oh, and karaoke night was a blast.

Great place to drink and hear your friends talk most of the time. Great mix drinks and often the standard local beers on tap. Food is amazing. Price is a little higher than other bars for drinks

I had my first kombucha beverage at Kombucha Town, so this cozy cafe/bar/restaurant already earns a special place in my heart just for that. More, though, Culture Cafe at Kombucha Town has a wonderful, woodsy atmosphere and delicious food. There is one exclusively vegan menu item, "The Vegan," a freaking scrumptious sandwich with tempeh for its protein food item. The Southwestern Wrap can also be made as a vegetarian/vegan dish, and that, too, is delicious.Food and drinks at Cafe Culture at Kombucha Town are a bit pricier than the fare I normally purchase, which is the only reason I couldn't give a 5-star rating. This place is definitely worth the occasional visit, but at $38+ (before tip) for a sandwich, a wrap, and one mixed alcoholic beverage, I just can't see myself visiting frequently.

I love their food and their kombucha cocktails. They serve the food on beautiful wooden plates. The artwork and general atmosphere is very "Bellingham" but in the best way. You have to try the mojito!! Yum! Lots of great vegetarian options and a great place to go, even if you don't like kombucha.

I asked a girl out here and she said yes, so 5 stars bc this has been an amazing relationship. On a side note, the pork and watermelon was dang tasty and the hard kombucha selection was modest but also kinda hottest if you know what I’m sayin.
