Nice little bakery in Bellingham and close to cheap public parking. Prices are on the higher end but they have a nice selection and tastes good.

The croissants had a good butter taste but they weren’t fluffy or airy on the inside. It was a bit dense and as you can see from my photos they were lacking some air pockets that create the rise and the fluffy texture. The chocolate croissant was more dense than the butter croissant .They were also priced about a $1 more than what I’d expect it to cost ($5+ for plain butter croissant is a bit ). For that price, I’d expect perfection or at least make up for it with some beautiful ambience/interior seating or something.I normally eat croissants all the time whenever I go to a cafe for coffee, and I had one everyday when I was visiting Paris. These croissants were not bad, but not good, I’m sorry 😞 I was hoping to find pillowy croissants with fragrant butter smell/taste.

This is our favorite bakery in Fairhaven and we always make sure that we go at least a couple of times when we are in town. Their quiche is so good as are everything else we have gotten there. This year we had the focaccia bread and rooster rolls. Wow! I have never had anything here that I didn't enjoy immensely!

This bakery is EXACTLY what you want when you need a little pick me up. The case of beautiful baked goods has delicious standards like croissants and homemade cookies, as well as new additions EVERY TIME I come in. Today I had light-as-air Angel Food Cake with a lemon glaze. Last time it was fresh macarons in various flavors, heavenly. The indoor ambience is clean yet inviting with black & white tile, a perfect place to hide out on a rainy day, if you can get a table. The outdoor seats are comfortable and shady in the Spring and Summer thanks to a few good trees and the world's largest red umbrella! ❤❤

Yum Yum Yum. I have not found a treat at this bakery that is not absolutely the best I’ve ever had. There almond croissant is absolutely the most fabulous croissant I’ve ever had. Paired with one of their fabulous mocha lattes you absolutely can’t go wrong

First experience here, it smelled really good from the sidewalk so I stopped for a latte and tart. The guy I walked past on the sidewalk laughed when I said “damn that is good” under my breath. Rich and creamy, great espresso, not too sweet. Linzer tart was also excellent.

Wow, so much goodness! We've had the olive oil cake, chocolate croissants, chocolate torte, danishes, carrot cake, bear claw (savory vegetarian breakfast in a fluffy croissant-like shell!) and more. Spectacular! It's probably good that we don't live down the street but I can't help but be sad we don't. If you haven't visited, you must! Highly recommended.

This is now my favorite bakery of all time. We love this place, it's become our Sat morning ritual. Keep up the great work. We have tried a few items: crossaints, cakes, bread pudding, etc. All excellent.

This place is amazing! I had the Mama Hen (croissant dough filled with pastry cream) and a peanut butter roll. Absolutely delicious. Come early and come hungry! Highly recommended!!!

What is the deal with this place? 2020/21 era lockdown-style ordering outside from a window, awkwardly asked verbally if I want to add a tip for a very overpriced croissant, followed by a long wait for a simple order. I’ve been 3 or 4 times and can’t even go back because this is just terrible service. Coming here and seeing the owner responding to these complaints with “this suits our business model better” is laughable. Your business model is garbage if you believe this and you would not last a month in any other market.

This place just don't look pretty, everything taste amazing. We got a Boston cake and a chocolate torte, and both were super good. The flavors were so deep and rich, and not too sweet. Will be back tomorrow.Update. I went back the next day! And got the chocolate almond croissant, and it was so delicious. Guess what? Will be back tomorrow again, to pick up some treats to take home

They have the best croissants in town partially thanks to the use of imported dough with protected designation of origin from Europe. Everything else is equally excellent thanks to the proprietors’ immense expertise, execution, and dedication. The staff runs around a lot to hand deliver your order. So, leave a tip if you so choose. If you get bored, talk to Fred the owner. He’s got lots of stories.

Small and cozy, but a joy to discover! Coffee was served quickly, but made with care and crowned by foam artwork. Bakery offers a surprising array of flavors and styles all made in-house. Staff is super friendly and attentive, and you can tell they take pride in their work.

Stopped by Iron Rooster Bakery for the first time, my new favorite cafe! I was greeted with a smile and kindness by madeleine, who is super bubbly! My drink and pastry were out within a minute, super quick and efficient service. Atmosphere is very happy and welcoming, and very clean with nice outside sitting options. Thank you Iron Rooster and Madeleine! My chai was DELICIOUS <3

I want to like it. The pastries are good, the staff is friendly. But the whole system of ordering from a crowded and blocked window and then long waits is bonkers. Fifteen minutes just to be told twice that your orders have sold out.. Since you paid for them? Yipes.

Their baked goods are just something else! The chocolate babka and cinnamon buns were the best I have ever had. Fresh, well made, great quality pastries!

This is our new favorite bakery in Bellingham. Came out for a visit and wowed our kids with their selection of fresh baked goods. They said they hadn't been here before and they were now going to have this as their new favorite bakery. Raspberry cheese Danish, savory croissants, delicious and wonderful selection of irresistible flavors. Keep up the good work!

Life changing pastries. Some of the reviewers criticize the owner as seeming grumpy, but to me it is clear this is a result of their own American superficiality. The owner's demeaner is a big part of why I return. He is not at all fake, and he is kind. He reminds me of the proprietors I came to respect when I lived in Europe. Once you get a taste of sincerity, if you can recognize it, there's no going back. There are plenty of places in Bellingham you can go to if you wish to be served with fakey-fake niceness, laid over whatever true nature they are hiding. I too cringe at the prices sometimes but when I remember they are literally some of the best pastries of my life I know they are worth it, and it remains the best bakery in Whatcom and Skagit counties. I do think they should open up to have seating in the main room once again, as that is a gorgeous room and it was a treat to sit there pre-Covid. The seating offered in the adjoining room is pretty as well, but it is more fun to feel like part of the action of a bustling bakery.

Reasonable coffee, decent baked goods. What’s very weird is the current COVID service model in 2023. The poor staff are running around, coming out to hand deliver orders and they have to ask people for a tip because the till is inside. I come to cafes for the experience as much as the food.

**Adding specific comments as requested by owner**Food 4/5The almond croissant was greasy to the touch but good. The lattes were okay but I wouldn't reorder a drink here the next time. Overall, the pastries are good but not good enough to justify the high pricing. It was a good stop on the long drive to CanadaService 1/5This was the first time in my life that I have seen a server verbally ASK customers what they would like to tip and press the tip amount in for the customer. It was awkward to listen to everyone in front verbally tip and I felt an unspoken pressure to tip the max amount (whatever it was). The whole tipping situation (though usually not a big deal in terms of the dollar amount) left a bad taste in my mouthExtra infoThe bakery was not open for dine in when I was here. The server took orders by the door and there was some outside seating.

Without a doubt, this is our favorite coffee and pastry shop in Bellingham. Croissants are our favorite pastry. Everything we have tried is great. Latte and mocha are always great too.

I have never had such delicious croissants in my life. The lamination is amazing, flaky and crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Everything they make is beautiful and delicious.

Looked to order yesterday but the 2021 COVID lockdown style ordering set up where the door is blocked by tables was just too strange. Thankfully there's a ton of other coffee and baked goods options up the street that allow you not only to go inside/sit down but charge less to do so.

They provided us some wonderful additions for my daughter's 14th birthday tea party. Beautiful work and I called knowing they were closed expecting to have to leave a voice-mail and the gentleman who answered was so helpful. As well we purchased a box of pastries with piped in "hens" and we took a sharp left on to I 5 and dummy me didn't secure the box very well. Iron rooster offered to re do them the next day when they open. I was anticipating a charge or some fee but she rebuilt them beautifully.and repacked them with cups to secure them better. They survived and they were a hit! Thank you for making my daughter's party a success
