Best local pharmacy I’ve been to in a city. Super helpful and friendly pharmacists and staff. Filled prescriptions in a timely manner. Reasonably priced, though it’s not even my insurance’s preferred pharmacy. So much better than CVS, Walgreens or Fred Meyer.

Hoaglands pharmacy was recommended by my palliative care doctor because they supply the medications that I need and have a quick supplier. I've received some wrong information and delays because of not fully processing my prescriptions before we went in that would have identified some insurance issues with getting pre-approval and the right medication. I've had similar issues with all the pharmacies I've used but I'd expect companies to go through the process to identify issues instead of trying to bill us almost $400 and telling me that my insurance doesn't cover medications when the order weeks before went through flawlessly. Overall a good pharmacy and I will continue to use this pharmacy for fulfilling my pharmacy needs.Thank you for your response. This shows that you care about your customers and how you strive for excellence. We appreciate it.

I’ve been using Hoagland for about 9 months and have had a solid experience so far. After coming from Rite Aid, Fred Meyer and other chronically understaffed big chains, Hoagland has been a huge improvement.Friendly service, free home delivery, they work with Medicaid recipients, and have been consistently friendly on the phone.

I arrived at this establishment with the intention of renting a medical mobility device. There was no one present at the cashier's desk. Despite patiently waiting, none of the individuals in the pharmacy offered any assistance, though they occasionally glanced in my direction. In an attempt to seek help, I approached someone, only for them to walk away and consult another person. To my utter astonishment, the second individual shouted as she walked away that you do not have any devices available for rent; and I can purchase one if I wanted. This person not only failed to address my concern directly, in fact she gave me her back, but also neglected to acknowledge my presence as a customer. Regrettably, there was still no sign of a cashier or anyone at the front desk. It is disheartening to say that their customer service leaves much to be desired, which may explain the low ratings they have received.

Well staffed, I counted 8 people in total with 5 dedicated to filling prescriptions, 1 person dedicated for drop offs and 1 for pick ups and 1 additional person assisting to help expedite customer wait times.I’ve been to Walgreens or Rite Aid where you’ll be lucky to see 2 or 3 people managing everything and a line 10-12 people long. If everything went smoothly small staff number might be ok but as everyone has experienced there inevitably will be 1-2 people out of every 5 (10 if you’re lucky) who can’t be processed smoothly.So seeing a company prioritize having sufficient workers on staff over optimized labor efficiency is such a pleasant surprise. The employees worked sincerely toward filling orders quickly and handled things professionally and as such I can’t think of much more you would ask from a pharmacy.

The whole meds and ordering system between doctors and pharmacies needs an overhaul. Mainly because of the refill thing. It complicates the process immensely. I was supposed to pick up a month's mediset, loaded by Hoaglands, and the day before the month started, I went to get the mediset, but they only had the first week's worth. In bottles, not even a mediset. It was my first month doing this. They told me it was because some of the meds were on a refill. They've had weeks to get the refills from the doctor. I'm not blaming the pharmacy, but the whole system. My family member is starting with a new medical facility and doctors. It would be better to have no refills. Just start out with ongoing monthly prescriptions, without refills needing to be confirmed every three months. That would eliminate having to keep an inventory of the meds, if they started out each month with 30 or 31 days worth, (or 28), for each med, depending on the month. If a doctor needs to change a prescription, or end it, he can do it anytime. Just tell the pharmacy at the time.

Massive price gouging! Charged me $50 for a rapid covid test that should have cost less than $20. Refused to process my insurance even though they are supposedly a preferred pharmacy with my insurance. I'll never be back.

I’ve used Hoagland’s pharmacy for compounded pet medication in the past and they’ve always been great. Today was my first time going to them for vaccines and I was very impressed! It was quick and painless, and the woman who gave the vaccines was very kind about working with my needle phobia. I didn’t get her name but I sincerely appreciate her. Thank you so much!

Terrible. Wish I didn't have to use Hoaglands, but they are the only local compounding pharmacy I know of. The pharmacist has spoken to me rudely twice now and intentionally embarrassed me by loudly announcing (incorrect) personal details of my medication. So unprofessional and just kind of mean.

Just wanting to share my own experience. I am self employed- no insurance. We had a family member pass and I needed to get vaccinated since the funeral was in Vietnam. Showed up to inquire about prices for Japanese Encephalitis Vaccine and Tetanus dipth vaccine. Was told it would be $350 for JE and $100 for Tdip. It was expensive but I opted to get it because I wanted to be safe while traveling. Returned for my second dose a week later as instructed and was surprised to be called up and asked for a second payment of $350. The same woman who had helped me previously remembered talking to me and could tell I was confused. She apologized and said sorry if I wasn't clear. Since the vaccine is two doses it is charged per dose. I don't think this situation is any one person's fault. Arguably I could have been more educated, or the pharmacy tech more clear. What I do know is I left Hoagland feeling terrible, and had to go home and ask my husband's family for some more assistance financially during the trip.

This place is always overly busy it's very difficult to get questions answered on the phone nobody ever answers it. When you go there you waiting line for a long time half the time you need something someone's on break or they're not working that day. The pharmacy side of it is not too bad but anything else good luck

I was at the York apartments a little over a month ago when I saw your delivery driver holding a bag of what I assumed was meds. He used the call box to try and get let in and no one answered. I told him to go on in and opened the door for him. He just said it's alright turned around and went back to his car. This has been bugging me ever since you think that and employee with someone's meds would try harder to contact the patient. Theres usually a reason why they need it delivered and they don't pick it up themselves. Especially here where lots of residents are physically disabled one way or another. From that interaction if I need meds delivered I will be looking for a different pharmacy. Outsourcing deliveries would most likely be the best way. You're a pharmacy not a delivery company and the driver I saw definitely gives the pharmacy a lazy and neglectful look for its patients.

I was recommended to come here to find one medical supply. It was my first visit. Found it within 20 seconds of walking in. It's not a huge place. So it was easy. Great!What was not great was customer service. Actually horrendous this is my first negative review of any kind. I'm so shocked because it was so petty. First off when I walked up to the cashier counter, she had just walked away to help another customer find something. No problem. The minutes ticked on and on. We got to almost 5 minutes before she finished with that customer. I was a little annoyed at that point- she didn't yell over that she saw me or she'd be with me- ideally she would have excused herself for 30 seconds from him to do my transaction since it was clearly taking a long time. Whatever, I'm trying to be patient. But that fact that she then helped a SECOND person in the aisles, who had walked in since I've now been waiting at the counter, before coming to me. It's now been at least 5 minutes of me standing at the counter and after she helped the second person before she finally comes over to the registers and asks how my day was. I responded fine, but was likely inaudible under my mask and wasn't in the mood for prolonged pleasantries at this point. SO SHE REPEATS HERSELF to ask how my day was. Evidentially she's upset she couldn't hear my response or thinks I didn't respond at all. (Are you serious? That's awful customer service just from this interaction) I explain well I've been standing here waiting. She says "oh I was helping another customer". Frankly- no you helped TWO different customers before coming back to the register. Here I am a customer too who is actually trying to PAY. You don't know if those folks will.ALSO let's talk about masks. This is a pharmacy that sells medical supplies. It's not a Walgreens or Rite Aid where the pharmacy is in a COMPLETELY separate. The pharmacy techs at Hogland are in the same open space and the drive-through is also connected to that same room. Just because someone is on the "retail" side of the pharmacy doesn't mean they still aren't an employee of the pharmacy. And again, it is ONE room. This is a medical place. Sick people are coming in. Make everyone employee wear masks at minimum.

Their new prescription refill website is better in some ways, but in other ways it is a step backwards.It does not save your login info so you have to type in your email address and password every time. Remember that?Also if you have run out of refills you have to call it in to request they contact your doctor. You didn't have to do that on their old website- you just added the request along with your prescription number. It didn't require an extra phone call.

I do not recommend Hoagland Pharmacy. They took several months to process a prescription for a cpap machine. Some of the delay was due to my doctor and my insurer, but their complacency and "wait and see" approach also contributed. (My new provider took 24 HOURS, not months) Hoagland requires a great deal of personal data to do business with them, but could not tell me how they secure this info. Then, after an initial set up appointment, Bobby did not return several calls over several weeks regarding my follow up questions. Now, Hoagland has lost their "in network" status and the machine had to be returned. I specifically asked about when the machine had to be returned and was told there would be no more charges. I verified this a second time when I returned the machine. Despite these two assurances there would be no more charges, another invoice was sent to me. The first finance person I talked to told me the other two Hoagland employees were wrong. When the manager called me back, she explained it was all the insurance company's fault, regardless of what the other two employees told me. She really needed that $21. So Hoagland gets my $21 and a review.

I recently visited Hoagland Pharmacy to get vaccinated for something that was not available at my doctors office. I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment and I was greeted by a lady with a very pleasant smile. She immediately assisted me and informed me of what’s going to take place and what I needed to do. After a short wait I received my shot given to me by a professional nurse and I hardly felt it. She was so good at what she does and also very friendly.This place is highly recommended and I’m so sure that you’d be very satisfied as I was.

Hoaglands is an exceptionally operated business. I've never dealt with a more friendly and professional staff. The pharmacists go the extra mile in educating the consumer. The thing I love the most is how organized they all are in getting you in and out quickly. The entire staff is always friendly and willing to help. Their prices are very competitive. The store and bathrooms are overly clean and sanitary. I will be a loyal customer for years to come and I will model my own business's customer service after theirs. Please support this locally owned family business.

I well remember when the owner was in high school and delivered part-time for the late Glen Gossage, who I always held in high regard. Mike was a conscientious and friendly fellow back then in the 70’s, and he brought these qualities into his own business. Which is why I am still a customer after many years. The folks who work in Long Term Care are always helpful and polite, and take care to explain new medications well, including ones for my cats. I love that I am supporting a local business through my custom here, and I want to say that I especially love the delivery folks, who are always on time, and smiling. Sometimes they make my day. Marianne and Dan both know my cat’s name and take time to greet him properly. Now that’s class, folks.

I accidentally washed my vaccine card doing laundry and they refuse to issue another. My wife suprised me with concert tickets for my bday and I need my card to get in. I am in there records have shown up with two forms of ID and my washed out vaccine card and refuse to issue me another despite the cdc saying that is the only way to get another. Very disappointed in the owners decisions.

I haven't filled a prescription, but they are the only place in town that will recycle/dispose of unused/expired medication, for which I'm grateful. It looked very nice, though with an inviting, clean ambisncu, and the immunization counter is right by the door, which is very smart for limiting contact by sick people.

I'm homebound, so I switched from bigger pharmacy to Hoagland's for their delivery service. After using a big pharmacy and their Rx app, I'll admit I've gotten spoiled, and Hoagland's feels a bit outdated. They have a website to refill prescriptions, but it's nothing more than a text window to enter your prescription number and a brief message. Still, at least it's something, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've been using Hoagland's for 3 months now, and I've had 2 prescriptions that they said were delivered, that I never received, and one of my daughter's prescriptions got switched with another patient's, so they each got each other's medication. The switch really shocked me. That just shouldn't happen. The staff is friendly, but I kind of feel like I'm sacrificing good service for home delivery.

They only had pharmacy line open and refused to help in the orher parts of the store. I guess patients don't really need medical supply after major surgery. Especially before a holiday weekend. I could not buy med equipment or even ask questions, and would have had to wait in a 20 min line just to buy what I found and needed.I now know you do not care about customers.

HORRIBLE customer service in the compounding pharmacy. I just moved to Bellingham from out of state and have been trying to get my prescription moved from the other pharmacy and filled at Hoagland. Bad idea. I have called multiple times and left several messages. Now supposedly my prescription has been moved from my old pharmacy but Hoagland can't find it in their system. I should have paid attention to all of the negative reviews but thought Hoagland was the only compounding pharmacy in Bellingham. I will find alternate methods to get my prescription filled.FYI - Makers Compounding pharmacy in Mt Vernon mails prescriptions within the state of Washington and they have a five star review.
