I left this 5 star review a couple months ago, I still stand by it.I want to add that the staff at this shop are incredible. I've been in only a few times and I already feel like they recognize me. The staff is always super nice and helpful, it doesn't hurt that they all have personal experience with most of the products they sell.I stopped by today and they were absolutely swamped. Didn't affect my experience at all since they pulled someone from the back to come help me. They even said they appreciated my patience, as if they didn't do just the best possible job with how many people were in the store. Seriously, there were like 5 people in the store and I was still in and out in 10 minutes, including the time the staff member spent looking at my bike to figure out what brake pads I needed.

Bought my first full carbon road bike here.Staci and Craig are very knowledgeable and helpful. I think I went to every bike shop around bellingham within a few weeks of looking for a new bike. Ended up choosing Earls because they asked me important questions on my riding style and experience to guide me towards the right bike. And absolutely no pressure!Highy highly recommend these folks, they really know what they’re doing.Bike tune ups and maintenance after my initial purchase was on point and efficient.

Am very happy with Earl's. I bought a really nice ebike from them and promptly tipped it over on a steep hill - it was my fault entirely. The brake handle was smashed and I knew the warranty would not cover replacing it. They made my bike like new and installed a much needed rear view mirror as well; I was relieved when I saw how reasonable the final bill was. R Daily

I just purchased a new Ergon SM MTB Men's saddle and LOVE IT. The crew and Earl's Bike Shop are super friendly and always willing to help with all your shopping needs. Having purchased several bikes from Staci May, and countless other purchases, I highly recommend Earl's Bike Shop. They also seem to have those hard to find items that other local shops just don't seem to carry...perhaps supply chain issues? Or just smart planning by the folks at Earl's. Thanks again!

Stacy May, Craig and ALL of the crew at Earl's are the absolute best! We have relied on them for all of our bike needs since they opened up many years ago when our kids were very young. They always come through for us one way or another. They stay very busy and we are always happy to wait for them. It just means they will stay around with a happy and healthy business we can count on in the years to come. Can't say enough good about these folks.

The first time in my adult life I had a bike that really fit and functioned perfectly was because of Staci and Jesse at Earl's Bike Shop. They have a passion for bikes and a sincere dedication to each customer. After you buy a bike you get a discount on bike gear for a month. They even give you a free tune up once the cables wear in. I bring my bike in annually to keep it in top shape and they always remember my name and my bike. I'm so grateful to Earl's Bike Shop for keeping me on the road.

Just moved to town and needed a new local bike shop. Most of employees were friendly and helpful when buying a pannier. However, I was having issues installing my rack, so I came back. All of a sudden the friendly helpfulness was gone. The lady told me I couldn’t put a rack on my bike and offered zero help and that I could go to a hardware store. So I went to the Hub and figured it out, bought panniers from them and took earls back. I needed two washers… ended up costing you some business.

absolutely wonderful local bike shop!There are quite a few around town but none of them were open past 6:00 p.m. this bike shop was and they were very kind enough to stay open until 7:00 p.m. everyday.Thankfully I got in there just in time and they were able to sell me some bicycle tubes so we could keep the good times rolling.Thank you so much

Brought my wifes Addmotor tricycle here for repair/tuning. The trike was making a creaking sound from the back left wheel. I asked them to take it for test ride, and they said they would. When I got the bike back the repair was done correctlyMy wife and I got to go for a bike ride that same day and my wife was very happy and said the bike feels better than ever.BEFORE I went to Earl's I took the tricycle to a local shop in Burlington. . A week later I pick up the trike and they said they greased the bearings and the sound was taken care of. When I got the trike home and took for a ride it was clearly not done correctly and we were very upset.Earl's really did a solid job for us and we will do business again. Everyone was pleasent and they were able to understand my issue with the trike and made sure it was done right.. Thank You

I took my electric bike to Earl's for repair. They could not have been more helpful, repair cost was minimal and they even delivered it to my home free of charge. Earl's is by far the best bike store in town. Many local bike stores have no clue when it comes to electric bikes, and one repair shop in Fairhaven charges $200.00 extra, if you did not buy their bike from them. Go to Earl's, really great folks. Love the place!

I brought my sad sorry bike into Earl’s and was treated like a rock star. Even though I showed up on a busy Saturday morning a weird bike part was found, encouraging “atta boy” get back on the road pep talk, and kind words made me think of 1999! I will be back!

I LOVE my bike, she was able to find one that I could get sooner than later which was a miracle. Great folks, excellent service and couldn't recommend highly enough. BUY LOCAL!

I purchased a $6k xtracycle through Earl's last summer, as opposed to buying it online - even though I would have saved a little $$ by buying it online. I believe in local businesses, and wanted to develop a relationship with a local bike shop to support my ongoing needs.After my purchase, my experience with Earl's has been poor. I purchased accessories which I was supposed to get a 10% discount on, but didn't. They promised to provide me with a refund several times, but never did.I had to have the tires replaced under warranty, and it took several weeks, with me following up regularly, and them seeming to forget about it between my inquiries.Most recently, something happened that led me to believe that the Bosch motor might need warranty work - the crank just spun. I called Earl's and was quoted three week to even look at it.I called the Trek dealer in town the next day - because they are a Bosch dealer and can do warranty work. They got me in the following day and out the next - with a full service and the issue with the crank resolved.There's an aloof attitude at Earl's that, through multiple experiences, has led me to conclude that I won't be going back.

I absolutely love this shop. I took my bike elsewhere and was told I needed to replace my entire brake system. On a whim I decided to ask Earl's what they thought- they adjusted my brakes, no charge, and told me my bike looked great. Since then, I've recommended this shop to everyone who owns a bike. They are reasonable, reliable, and have great customer service.

These guys are the best. I've been looking for an electric assist bike to commute with and they went above and beyond to find a model that fits me and gets the job done. As a female on the shorter side who knows very little about bikes, they treated me with respect and enthusiasm.They brought several bikes to my house to do a practice commute with to make sure it would do the trick. They even rode with me to help me figure things out. When I finally made a decision they delivered it to me and picked up my old bike for consignment. All on top of their already busy schedules. And always with a smile. They really do love what they do. And they're good at it. Knowledgable, supportive, enthusiastic and patient. Love their products and customer service. The ONLY place to go, in my opinion.

Asked them to install specialized training wheels. They called them “crappy” and sold me their own. Then they sent me to the hardware store three different times to buy hardware they should have had in stock. Then I was told the bike just couldn’t be modified. We came home and installed the original “crappy” wheels ourselves. They work great. Would not go back.

The ONLY reason to buy somewhere else is if you're are looking for something super high performance or specific. Earl's has your best interest at heart in everything they do. No unfair profits. No hard sales tactics. There have very quality bikes they can stand behind. TBH, idky people shop anywhere else when they just need a solid bike.Don't buy garbage from box box stores, or overpriced shiny stuff.okay, I like the hub too :)

I had my bike stolen and when I called to ask about a replacement Staci knew exactly which bike she thought I’d like and sure enough I’m extremely happy with my new hybrid. When I went to test drive and purchase they put my accessories on and we had good conversation with the owner while we waited. Great selection, great service, cool people, local shop. All wins in my book

We’re fairly new to town and hoped to connect with a local shop who could help us with our eclectic fleet of cargo bikes. When I called up Earl’s, they were super friendly and eager to assist.My personal bike is a Nihola 4.0 (a front-loader cargo bike that is reverse trike) with a Bafang 500 watt mid-drive motor with a Shimano 8 speed internal hub. I needed helped getting a few things fine tuned, and although this isn’t a bike they’ve worked on before, they were eager to try and help out. They were open that it may be beyond their realm, but would be happy to take a look and see what they could do. Sure enough, they were able to work on it and did a wonderful job! Thank you!

I've been going to Earl's Bike Shop for 5 years because of their great service. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Nice and professional. I never feel overcharged for repairs like I have at other shops. They asses what needs to be fixed to get you back on the road and they'll let you know other issues that can be fixed later. This is my first review on google. Absolutely awesome experience. My bike has been having some problems with its bottom bracket and I've taken it to multiple shops in Bellingham and none of them were able to fix it properly. Earls not only FINALLY fixed it but did so at a super affordable price. They didn't have the tool they needed to do the job but got the tool in a day and got it done! The people working there are very knowledgeable and nice and I couldn't be happier with the service I got. The longer than usual waiting time is definitely worth it because they get it right the first time. Don't go anywhere else

Went in to research pedal-assist bikes. Now I am the owner of one! The owners answered all my questions, shared more info about things I hadn't considered, and then I did a test ride. Today, I went back and bought one. They called me when they said they would, and went the extra few miles (literally) to provide excellent customer service. I had been to another e-bike shop in Fairhaven that only had one bike in my size to try and the sales rep had to go with me on the test ride -- and told me where I had to ride. Nope! Not interested in that. Earl's was friendly, informative, and provided great customer service!

Wish I caught the name of the gentleman that helped me with my rear tire and bike basket purchase. He was so helpful, and after the 4 bike shops I visited earlier Earls was certainly the most can do and down to earth. And I managed to fix my first tire with his advice. Plus there was the cutest pup you ever did see!!
