Safeway is generally my go-to place for groceries, however this location consistently disappoints! I’ve been told several different policies by self checkout employees in this week alone that completely contradict one another, and I was not met with entirely kind responses when I’ve brought it to their attention.I’ve also noticed that the employees at this location will submit the checkout survey for me, ensuring to give 5 stars for all categories. I don’t necessarily believe that the questions about my visit are for the employees to answer, without requesting my own opinion especially!

This store is always freezing cold inside, uncomfortably so. The store layout requires visiting the entire store for a few items. Lunch meat and cheese are on opposite sides of the entire store. The parking lot is in awful condition with roots protruding through the asphalt.

Always able to find what I'm looking for easily. Convenient location, but parking lot is busy and shared with other businesses. 6 front row parking spots are designated for grocery pickup orders. Should be able to park there after a specific time when they finish p/u orders for the day. The Best produce for price and freshness/quality in BG. Great service. The checker brought me over to her line to check me out even though it was her break time. She took care of me, then went on a break to respect my time. That's amazing customer service, thank you!

Produce quality is not great. Probably below Walmart grade at today's visit. At checkout, the guy supervising our self checkout harangued us for typing in a produce code instead of scanning it. It's one thing to force self checkout but then to harass the customers and make the checkout take longer is another. Scanning the next item resulted in a need assistance prompt. The next items had no codes. The help needed prompt came up again at the end and items didn't discount to advertised prices. Overall, not a great visit. Might recommend Fred Meyer next door as that is where I will try next time.

Everything I wanted was in stock. Employees are always friendly and welcoming. It was a little annoying that the 12 packs of soda were on sale, but only if you bought 4, and the price for one was 70% more than usual. I didn't have a cart, so where do I put 48 cans of soda without going back to the front for a cart? I wasn't prepared!

Safeway has great deals if you take the time to download the app and look for their digital deals! I have saved so much money shopping here for certain items. Soda, beef, bacon and diapers to name a few. One day, a gallon of ice cream was 0.47 cents, and no one believed me! And I get gas discounts as my points add up. I usually do the curbside pickup-great experience!

If it wasn't for the deals I get from clipping digital coupons, I wouldn't be able to afford shopping here ever. It's a bit pricey, but convenience takes priority at times. It's the closest place open a lot of the time.

I don’t normally write reviews for grocery stores BUT I had the most fantastic interaction and experience with the butcher named Mike. He was personable, super friendly and extremely helpful! There wasn’t any packages of meat the right size that I needed and he went out of his way even being short staffed and busy to custom cut and wrap exactly what I needed. All with a huge smile! I really appreciated his enthusiasm and will definitely be back!

I like this Safeway a lot. Most Safeway's in the area usually take a little too long for my taste but the salmon creek store is usually pretty quick getting in and getting out. Unless your trying to go the pharmacy. Depending on the time of day you go it might take a little while. They are usually under staffed so pack your patience, these people are doing the best they can to get you in and out so bare with it. Thanx Safeway!!

Great store if you have time to kill. They run 1 check out lane AR peak hours so give yourself 30 minutes to check out. They have 3 self check lanes but it appears that don't like to utilize these so not sure why they have them. The food appears very fresh and the store is clean with reasonable prices

The Safeway store in Battle Ground is clean, well organized, with friendly and helpful staff. The floral department considering its size has a good variety to choose from. We bought an orchid mother's Day 2 years ago and it is still blooming. The bakery makes cakes and pies (to order if you wish) and the marionberry pie was delicious. We have found the meat department not only to have a good selection, but the butcher is also very helpful in explaining the cuts and how to fix them. With my cooking skill, it's much appreciated, and the family agrees. If you join the Safeway club there are always opportunities to save money on many of the products.

Safeway has a large sign and is visible well in advance from all directions except south-bound traffic on Highway 503 (south-bound Safeway seekers just have to turn left and stay left at the Main Street traffic light.) It's a smaller store with very helpful employees who are willing to go out of their way to help with locating items you can't find or assist with special requests. As with most places that serve the public, they too are short staffed during most shifts at this time, but patience pays off on the few occasions when waiting is necessary.

***Updated Review***Please if anyone from management reads these reviews, pay attention.On my last visit to your store (June 9, 7 pm) there was a gentleman outside the doors playing calming music on an electric guitar. I was having a tough day and his kind demeanor and soothing music was just what I needed. I lingered in the produce department for longer than I'd intended just so I could enjoy it a little longer. I would love to shop with live music every time I'm in your store.***Old Review***Love this location. Always clean, well stocked and logically laid out. Produce is fresh and obviously continuously selected and sorted. The bakery has lots of freshly baked bread, pastries and cookies. Their deli boasts some of the yummiest fried chicken you've ever tasted and a variety of other hot foods. There's even a starbucks inside, if that's your thing.

everyone at Safeway is always very kind and courteous, growing up in a small town where everyone stops to say hello it’s really important to me living in a bigger city environment even with Battle Ground not necessarily being a big city, but still far larger than the little town I grew up in I tend to only shop in one or two stores and always shop local this way I get that small town feel and get to know my grocers going into Safeway 3 to 4 days a week you get to know all the different faces and smiles, and I particularly enjoy being able to walk in the door on a bad day, and get greeted with a happy smile.

I will say that some of the staff are very helpful and respond well to the needs of their customers from a shopping perspective, but there have been issues with poor service with a couple of the staff.Finally, it's just weird to have a Safeway and an Albertsons basically right next to each other. It's unclear why a consumer would choose to go to both or one over the other when they have the same deals offered through the app, unless that's not true and should be made clear to your customers.

Produce was pretty good, didnt shop for much else but it was a little nicer than my last visit. The girl at the self checkout was very friendly.

Employees are friendly, nice layout, good deli food. My issue is with the pricing. Often tagged sales are not coded in the system. And it's so difficult to follow pricing as items are scanned. I really wish that when they scan an item it would ring up at the same price that you saw on the shelf seems pretty simple to me. But I have had many situations where I have been overcharged anywhere from 10 to $50 and have even had to come back and have them give me money back, and that is not the employee's fault that is whoever's in charge of their system pricing.

Safeway is the only place to go for good bakery bread! Their french and sourdough loaves are the real thing. They also have a great selection of gluten free products! The floral department is the best place for flowers, as well. Their management recently removed an insurrection flag that people had placed on their fence without permission. We appreciated their quick response to this offense.
