Definitely worth it to stop at this gem of a place in a Chevron station! I know I know what you're thinking, restaurant inside a gas station?? No way.. we say way and it was pretty dope! The young employees are directed soundly by the owner Jake who is an awesome guy! After we ordered he even checked with us to check if all food was to our liking! We ordered the special egg Sammy and the tuna melt which were superb. Looking forward to seeing these folks again on our next trip to Bainbridge!

Be aware that the hot food is only Monday through Friday from 11-2. Cold food in the cases is available as long as the convenience store is open.

This food is seriously the best! And they have a super cute kids book too! These locals are stellar people and work hard to make their menu items stand out. The macaroni salad is my absolute favorite! Definitely not something you will find near any other gas station! It's quality tasting ingredients with a homemade touch.

Amazing sandwich.. Although probably best not to customize it.. Roast turkey sandwich, added bacon and jalapenos.. Pricy, but amazing.

I was finally able to try this place and it did not disappoint. The breakfast sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. From the bun, to the basil mayo and perfectly cooked egg (I also added cheese and bacon), it was all so tasty. I was also able to try their infamous cinnamon roll and wow. Seriously they know what they're doing here. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

The food is great enough that I took the ferry across from Seattle twice and walked the mile. It doesn't look like fresh food is offered any more (pandemic related), but the gas station offers a good selection of packaged bakery from Jake's. The blueberry items are especially good.

I only saw to go foods in a fidge, no hot serving ones. Potato salad has layers of flavor. Beef lasagna is tightly packed and has enough portion as an entree. Fast + quality + tasty.

Great people making great food! Today I tried the 'Party in the Garden' and it was delicious, 3 types of salad with some BBQ pork that was all perfectly seasoned. It's a good place to grab something made from scratch while you're on the go or stay and eat a bite with other friendly folk doing the same.

Jake's pickup has amazing and delicious food. This is probably the most consistent place I dine, on the island. Never has my order been incorrect, or the service poor. In-fact, its the best on the island which I've experienced. Their staff are always happy and helpful.

Terrible customer service. This place is plain weird. We were looking forward to the famous food, but one employee got very aggressive. He started explaining every item on the entire menu and would not stop. My daughter said "thank you" and clearly moved away and he continued yelling at her in a harrassing way across the store. Maybe desperate for a sale? The cashiers gawked at her and just stared and then were condescending when she tried to ask a question. Thought this place was friendly to travelers! Think twice if you expect basic human politeness.

Some of the best food I’ve ever had!!! Seriously, donuts, cinnamon rolls, filet sandwich, you name it and it was AMAZING! People come to Bainbridge Island just for the food, & I understand why it is a highly recommended spot. Do yourself a favor...if you find yourself in the greater Seattle area take the ferry over to Bainbridge Island and grab a bite at Jack’s Pickup!!!

A hidden gem in a gas station. The food was delicious, we tried the steak sandwich, pork sandwich, and the shrimp po’boy - all very tasty! The staff couldn’t have been nicer and seemed to really care if we were enjoying the food. Would recommend stopping in.

If you think this is some "gas station food", you are missing out! this is gourmet food... invented, inspired, and delivered flawlessly from an incredible family... From their take-home meals to their "grab n go" items available anytime, this is super high quality food... Combining incredible food with a Chevron is unusual, but not surprising given the sheer genius of Jake et al.... Try it. You WILL like everything they offer.

Jake's is a wonderfully unique and innovative dinning spot. Top quality, and always fresh. They make some of the best espresso drinks on the island. Breakfast items are always a treat. Pleasant outdoor seating too. Thursday mornings around 8, the place is filled with local car folks. Should not be missed.

Drove to this place from Edmonds because we heard great things. Of course we get there and their equipment is all broken and they only have cold food. So we had cold ribs and potato salad which were still great. I'll float them five stars until they let me down on a future trip.

Try the Smoky Bear! It's a family favorite! I can't imagine anything put inside that roll would be bad though; it's so buttery, with the perfect amount of yummy crunchiness, mmmmm...Quality food by quality people. Watching Jake put down a plate or make a coffee is amazing; he takes so much pride in what he and his staff do. He also likes to check in to make sure customers are satisfied with their meal :)

One of the most underrated best breakfast/lunch places on the island. Egg sandwich to die for, offers fresh fish sandwiches and tons of vegetarian options. Coffee, dessert, turmeric shots. Fresh green salads! And uses local ingredients. Yummmmm!

Since the hungry bear market opened, my friends and I have watched Jake’s Pickup rise into the amazing restaurant it is today. Whether it was my first ever bite of the tastiest BBQ Pulled-Pork Sandwich on this side of the water, or one from just the other week, no human can ever hope to recreate the fabulous Manna made here. Calling it food feels almost disgraceful.

Ridiculously good! Went here on our way out of Bainbridge and ate the turkey sandwhich and chopped salad as we boarded the ferry. We almost got off the ferry so that we could go back for more. Jake was really nice and offered us a free sample of his moms fresh zuchinni bread as we waited for our food. Fresh kale was added to our salad immediately as soon as it was walked in the door. So amazing!! We need a Jakes in California.

Good fresh made food. A bit expensive, and yes, it is inside a gas station. Don't let that distract you if you happen to be driving through. Better yet, if you're hungry and need fuel, check it out. You wont be dissapointed. Check Jake's hours before dropping in. They arent the same as Cevron station.

Wish I got a chance to try their food. Says they are open until 9pm. Traveled 35 miles to eat here and they were closed by 6pm.

UPDATE: Prices are this close to crazy but the food is very good. Another (should be secret) gem. That's all I will say - just go and be surprised. It's the best place for sammies & treats. oxo

This counter in the back of the service station have THE BEST FOOD. We love the fried fish sandwiches, the salads, the desserts... it's just so good!!!
