Enjoy a taste of Paris 🄐The quaint Coquette Bake Shop is a hidden gem on Bainbridge Island. It’s tucked away in the Winslow Green, which seemed like a local spot. The pastries are phenomenal. The coffee is great! The employees are friendly and helpful! What we tried:- Carrot cake: Contains walnuts , carrots, shredded carrots, raisins with a cream cheese frosting. Not too sweet.- Quiche: Ham, onions, roasted tomatoes, Flaky crust, Jarlsberg cheese- Lattes have wonderful latte art. Tastes just as good as it looks. ā˜•ļøThis place offers many savory and sweet options. If you have a chance, sit outside at one of the tables outside.

Winslow is a fun little place to get to know a new lady friend. It is easy to find a place to park, then walk around looking into the little shops, people watch and enjoy each other’s company. Last weekend, our spot of choice was Coquette Bake Shop. It is in a little shopping center that has a pretty high turnover among the stores. There is a reasonable sized parking lot that can get full during nice weekends. As I mentioned, I was parked just outside of town and had walked in, so I didn’t have to deal with parking that time. The shop is clean, but cluttered with random carts and piles of boxes. The door leads to a small counter area where pretty girls take your order. I’m told that in the Summer, the lunch line runs out the door. There is no menu, just a bunch of samples in a glass case. There were sweet options and coffee was available if you are looking for breakfast, but we were there for lunch.I picked the ham sandwich and my date got the spinach quiche. The items in the display case had been there awhile, so I was glad that the items they served came out of another case and were fresh. We also got a couple of drinks from a cooler at the end of the counter. The pretty girl rang up our food. It was nice to see that the total came to just under $20. We have spent much more on lunch at other places. When the quiche was warmed, we took our stuff to an attached room and found a table. The decor was strange - bricks on one wall and bizarre 3D like wallpaper on another. I found napkins on a cart next to a coffee carafe. The food was amazing. My date dug into her quiche and declared it delicious. My sandwich was on a perfect little baguette that crunched and chewed just the way I like. The ham was full of flavor and the brie added a lovely gooeyness to each bite.We hung around after our food was gone to chat and people watch. There was a steady stream of customers, but it never got crowded. Maybe it would if the weather was nicer. I know that I will be back.

Best cold brew that I had on my Washington trip! Such good flavored, wasn’t bitter and burnt like the other shops I went to. Yummy London Fog too. The Zest of Life was a delicious morning bun type pastry. The cheesecake bar had such good flavor my wife and I were both shocked at how yummy it really was!

This is a popup kinda bakery shop. They had a wide variety of baked goods with coffee. We got a mocha, a zest for life slice and a cheddar chive scone. The coffee wasn’t good. However, the orange croissant and the scone were a knockout. Excellent place.

By far the best bakery on the island. Tucked away in Winslow Mall, Coquette has tons of excellent pastries, sandwiches, and coffee. My personal favorites are the chocolate croissant and the ham, brie and sun dried tomatoe sandwich. I also highly recommend the molasses cookie. They are everything you could ever want in a molasses cookie!!Pair those up with an iced latte and boom you're set!

I first tried CBS when I came across their outpost while waiting for my pizza at Bruciato's and I had to get the carrot cake muffin. It was delicious. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had an actual cafe with even more baked goods. I got a kouign amann and a coffee. Both were perfect for an early afternoon snack and the cafe was a relaxing place to hang out with outdoor tables for the sunny days.

Hands down best coffee and pastries on the island. The bakers are phenomenal and clearly know what they’re doing. I’m so happy this shop has opened up - it was much needed. On top of the excellent fare - the seating is wonderful. 12/10 recommend for people watching.

Great bakery with some quick options. Yummy cookies, sandwiches, etc.. A handful of places to sit and eat that are covered. The ham sandwich was our favorite - it had more flavor than the turkey.

I’ve heard so many good things regarding this place on a Sunday. I wanted to really have a great experience but it definitely didn’t happen. The young ladies that were serving the food and checking us out was very rude. Not only to our group but to the groups that were in line. I’m not sure if they couldn’t handle the amount of customers that were in line but was so disorganized.

A coffee and pastry MUST when you visit Bainbridge Island. And don't just take my word for it as I am a SEATTLE kid through and through. I heard of this lovely little "walk up and take it away" shop from our dear friends who have been island inhabitants since 2004, and they did not steer us wrong with their recommendation.DELISH!

One of the best ginger cookies I’ve ever had! This small little stand has BIG flavor with great coffee. If you’re shopping in bainbridge, stop by Croquette first to get your pick me up!

Absolutely hands down the best baked goods and pastries on the island. From the cute little cart to the friendly service. The croissants are crazy flakey, all bread items are perfectly executed and they have both sweet and savory options. Perfect weekend treat or every day habit, what ever fits your style!

The carrot cake was good! Not too sweet which is how I prefer it. Would go perfectly with a cup of coffee or some tea. They serve expresso here as well.

This is a terrific bakery! The baked goods are incredible. The atmosphere is great, especially if you don’t need to park a car.A suggestion for the ham and Brie sandwich: Please use fig jam instead of the tomato based jam. It overrides the sandwich flavors.Front counter service was good, although sometimes distracted by personal friends coming through the line, which tends to slow things down at times.Overall, a great experience and one not to be missed!

This place was so much better when it was a walk-up kiosk on Winslow. The first time at new location, I couldn't get my quiche heated (no microwave). Next time, I had to wait because they only had one microwave available. Carrot cake slices are a fraction of the size they used to be. The lat visit I waited ridiculously long for a latte. The barista was staring/texting on her phone, forgot the order, and made it wrong so then had to remake it. Giggled it off without any apology. Too many inexperienced folks working and no one manages. Many workers staring at their phones or just standing in the back with arms crossed. Ridiculous.

Came here for breakfast on a minor holiday. They were one of the few places open on the island and were pretty busy. The service was quick and efficient, and the pastries were fantastic! I ordered a decaf americano with a croissant, and both were excellent! My husband has a scone and a regular americano and enjoyed his as well. Excellent service and a great outdoor patio area!
