Today I went in for a few items and as I was checking out. I noticed that a lady was getting a key made and the attendants at the counter was asking her very personal questions. I can tell she was very uncomfortable because they made comments about her hair and what does she do for a living. The lady was very kind but she was very uncomfortable with the entire experience. It even made me uncomfortable and they started talking about her when she left the store. I will not be back to this place anytime soon. So disappointing.

Absolutely the best. While Camp Hosting at Fay Bainbridge, our Airstream had a water leak. No mobile RV service and our favorite RV repair in Sequim didnt have an appt for a month. We took a picture of leaking pipes, Plumbing specialist advised us on how to repair. He was extremely knowledgeable. Very grateful.

Seems like I spend way too much time there. Pretty much meets a lot of needs. Great staff who can help you find what you need and often provide advice on do-it-yourself projects.

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff that have helped me get the job done with minimal tools. Whether it's a small bathroom job or picking up tools for gardening, impressive selection and advice. Their extensive hardware selection is great for finding a missing or stripped screw. My go to spot for home improvement items.

Ace is great to have on the island. Good selection of items, and when I go here I most always find what I need. However, the prices are rather high, but that's kinda normal for most places on the island. The store is clean, the temperature is good, and the staff are kind and helpful!

Pete and Kathy are awesome but generally, there is a lack of helpfulness. The thing is, people that come to a hardware store need assistance. Not all, but many, and certainly we do. So it would be nice to offer that instead of purely being transactional. We are local and will likely drive off the island for our needs. If you don’t have the largest supply or the lowest prices, at least make up for it in service. Otherwise, what’s the point?

For the most part I had a good experience. But that's it, good. The selection was surprisingly limited for as full as it looks walking in. The displays give the appearance that they are bulging at the seams with inventory, when in reality, I think they just lack the space for backup inventory so it all gets put on the floor. I needed to buy drop cloths so I looked. And looked. And looked. Finally, I found them. All two of them. A long skinny one like a hallway runner and a huge one that could cover the floor of most bedrooms if painting the ceilings. I was looking for something around 5x7 but settled for the huge one. I have yet to fully unfold it. Never once did an employee approach me to see if I needed help. Could use some fine tuning.

This is your average Ace hardware for the most part. The have a sizeable home goods section, which I haven't seen in many Ace hardware stores yet. The one thing about this Ace that really stands out is the nuts, boots, and fasteners section. They have probably the best selection in the country.

I wouldn't normally rate Ace Hardware stores with five stars, but this particular location sort of fits in with the vibe of Bainbridge Island, where it is located. The people inside are amazingly friendly and helpful. My sister-in-law purchased a new house on the island and not being the most handy person, it's going to greatly appreciate their patient support and helping her get set up with the tools and items she needs for her new household.

Really good selection, but they do have "Bainbridge" prices! If you need something today, you're pretty sure to find it here. They do have some really good prices on their garden items if you keep watching!

I am so grateful for ACE and the employees. They have advised me on a number of purchases and projects. I almost made a very expensive purchase. I reviewed the features on the item and was able to make a selection with he help of staff that fit all of my needs that was much more affordable. This has happened on more than one occasion. I have also gotten good advise on spackling and painting projects. Having the store and their advice has helped me save money by empowering me to do projects myself.

I usually have better luck here than at Home Depot. Prices are higher, but everything on Bainbridge is, due to location, delivery issues and ridiculous property rent and taxes.Rising gas prices and other costs make Ace more affordable every day!

This Ace is the epitome of an UNhelpful place. This business is not run well - the employees will tell you that they are completely unaffiliated with Ace Hardware. Sorry, but Ace Hardware is the name of your store. The employees are extremely rude, unhelpful, and could not seem to care less about the customer. It's sad, really, that this location thinks they can treat their customers this way. The female worker, May I believe her name is, told me they don't care about what Ace Hardware advertises because they have no competition. Sorry, the internet is your competition, and it's eating your lunch. I just moved to the island and would have spent thousands of dollars here, and because they refused to take a legitimate return worth $20 of a defective product (Even when the receipt says 'exchanges and returns accepted with original receipt), I will not give them a penny of my business. You're supposed to get customer service at a brick and mortar store compared to online. When you get negative service in person and great customer service from Amazon, why would any rational consumer choose to support negative behavior and bad business. Not me, and I hope anyone reading this won't support this location as well.

A very unique store with home town values & friendly staff. And when I returned home with every thing I needed. I wasn't exhausted from walking around one of those big box stores, So I completed my job & enjoyed the rest of my weekend. So Thanks again

I love this hardware store. They are so friendly and helpful. You can take a screw into the store and guarantee, they will match it for you. Also, so grateful that they sell some car parts/accessories - only place on the Island you can find them!

Terrible service. Shopped with friends between us spent $150. Went back next day was trying to find supplies for camp spot to secure it for rain. Manager followed us around asking us if we needed help. Being someone who has worked in retail myself I know she was thinking we were shoplifting. The cops were called and we were told to leave the store. Unbelievable this store needs to train its employees.

Curbside pickup email came through. Stood at the door trying to be polite and waiting for the employee on the inside to notice me. He saw me when he let someone out and told me to come back the next day. I arrived prior to the 5pm closing. Wasn’t noticed until 5:01. Turned away. As great as my experiences have been here in the past I was very disappointed with this brush off. Canceled the order and getting it from Amazon.

Love the handiness of this store. Staff is helpful and usually can find what I need without having to drive all the way to Poulsbo. Favorite checker is Chris, who always has a smile, and takes the time to make you feel like you got all that you needed. You certainly don't get that kind of experience off island which is why we live here and shop at our local stores.Michelle B.

We had a great experience with a checker named Chrissy. She overheard my son's disappointment with a light he'd bought with allowance the day before - it had stopped working due to dead batteries. She took it upon herself to suggest a defective merchandise return and exchange - wow! I really appreciated it, especially when I saw my son's eyes light up. Great customer service that made my (and my son's day).

If I could give this place no stars, I would. I live in Seattle and came here with someone to visit their Dad and do some gardening projects with them both over here in Bremerton. We bought some gardening twine and a couple other things before catching the ferry here. Turns out his Dad had already bought some twine and was using it. Since our hotel was conveniently across from Ace Hardware, we decided to return it for store credit since we obviously didn't bring the receipt along with us. Upon trying to return it, we were instantly profiled and accused of stealing it. We were told that there was one missing from their inventory, they would have to check the security cameras (which apparently weren't running) and then threatened to call the police. I ended up just setting it on the counter and saying they could just have it, we didn't need the money since that's what they thought we were after. I also told them to quit profiling people and they should be ashamed of themselves. Bruce, the floor manager, he is the one who profiled us. For no reason at all. Don't take your business here to keep enabling them to discriminate against people. This place is a JOKE.
