Monday February 26th 2024 1:45pm Ace Hardware Agrishop” West Main & C street Auburn WAI was going to Ace for the purpose of price comparison & product comparison between Ace and two other similar stores. Per king county we are to bring in our own bags or pay per bag-I always bring reusable bags when shopping.Upon entering I saw a sign asking for all bags to be left upfront; the cashier who was ringing a customer up directly to my left didn’t notice me entering.I voluntarily let her know I wanted to leave my bags upfront as the sign requested. I asked her to put them behind the counter so not to be taken by someone else -especially since one bag was my purse/packShe ignored my requests-I took out my wallet & the box of product I brought with me for comparison of ingredients. As I went to go shop a man came up from behind me & grabbed the product box from my hand-I stated I brought it in & he stated he could hold it for me as I shopped-why? I don’t know. that’s the beginning of the upmost deplorable service I have ever been subjected to. He then follows me>4ft to the aisle & as I’m picking up things to look he keeps grabbing them from me! I said I’m trying to look at ingredients&compaeenprices. He said he could hold it while I looked?!!! What?!! Then as I preceded to other aisle 3 men surrounded me one on each end of the aisle & him beside me. I told them as a woman this is making me extremely uncomfortable. They stated we’re just here if you need assistance. Three of you?! Blocking both ends of an aisle & a man 4ft or less away from me is needed to “help” me?! Finally after I tried to go to another aisle&same behavior occurred i decided to leave. I grabbed my bags&asked for the product I brought in & the heavy set older man wouldn’t give it to me. I threatened to call the police& then he gave it to me. He stated “tell all your friends “ laughing.Two menfollowed me to my car RECORDING ME!!I said I don’t consent to b recorded! I said I would be reporting it&askes the store# he gave me a fake store number!

Got nothing but stared at when I walked. Not a single person asked if I need help. Sat looking at a product for 15min , no one asked if I needed. People walked by, didn’t ask. But when I go to buy a $500 piece of gear, then they need to know if I’m a home owner. Could have cared less when I walked, except if I was going to steal. I wonder if I’m a minority?!

I think they sold me a small bag of old cement. Everything I make out of it crumbles.Also, I don't feel welcome in that store. I feel like they really rather I not be there, which is fine. Home Depot has fresh cement.

I have never received customer service as amazing as I did here at the Auburn, WA ACE Store.I had pulled into the parking lot to check for an address. I was pulling a little wheelchair trailer. As I was leaving part of the trailer was dragging on the ground. 4 men, drizzling rain, and close to 1 1/2 hrs of their time and efforts and I drove away with a functioning trailer. My total cost??? $0.00. It brought me to tears. I came from 2 1/2 hrs from home, a friend and myself, 2 women stranded without a clue as to what to do. Those 4 men in ACE HARDWARE in Auburn are my heroes.

Found a n hibachi grill on Google and as advertised by Ace Hardware. It’s great when things work out in your favor.Elegant solution for outdoor BBQ at 1/10 or less of the gas grills. Perfect for two.

I would appreciate after 6+ years of being a good customer to know in advance how much an estimate will cost at the time of dropping off a chain saw/or any other equipment. $65 is not a lot of money but it is frustrating to know that your employees are not being trained correctly to give the right information to the customers. I hope this doesn’t happen to another customer because we all need each other to survive in this chaotic world we live in. I also understand that no one is perfect and we all make mistakes. Please take this as constructive criticism to better your business.

They lost me as a customer. Bought a new mower 9 months ago. It suddenly will not start. New spark plug didn't help so brought into shop. Under warranty but got a terse lecture about it being possibly old gas which will void the warranty. Then were told a $65 deposit was needed in addition to the $500 mower and it wouldn't be looked at for a month. Shopping at a local business proved to be a bad idea. Picked back up the mower. Got the deposit refunded and will not return. Sadly I think they could care less.

Nice personnel working there. The lady that was taking care of me, looking for some type of anchors for my license plate, was so kind, because was a type of weird anchor and screws, that, she took a long time looking for something that really would work for my car. It was a really good experience. The parts I was looking for just fit really well in my car. Thank you !

Smaller Ace store, but they have a repair shop on site for yard items.They also have a good selection of spa/pool supplies available as well.Not too much of a selection for gardening or plants though.They also close pretty early too! Double check before you head down.Parking is good

Since I am a local Auburn girl I continue to give this store a try, unfortunately they continue to disappoint. What paint store doesn't have anyone who can mix a gallon of paint??? Today was the second time this has happened to me. There is one young gentleman who has been able to help when I go in but if he is not there you are out of luck. Their customer service has a lot to be desired as well.

Nice store to buy landscaping power equipment and tools. Good prices and excellent customer service support. The salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable about various brands of backpacks blowers. They even took their time to assemble the blower and instructions on the features of the blower and starting instructions. I will be back to purchase more commercial tools when needed by my company C & C Lawn Services home based out of federal way.Thanks Auburn Ace Hardware.

I don't know what happened to this store! Something major changed. It used to be a great alternative to the big box stores. Terrible customer service. They used to have low key, fairly knowledgeable, fairly helpful staff. Now they have more staff (not looking busy at all, just standing around I might add) than I have ever seen before in all the years I have been going there but even with all that, the ones I have dealt with don't seem to know anything and are not empowered to do anything and just seem clueless. The woman 'supervisor type' lady walking around swoops in on your business out of nowhere for no reason and is downright rude and intrusive. This is my opinion from all three times I have dealt with them in just the last couple of weeks. It isn't getting any better. Where is the management? Does he/she not observe the employees interactions with customers? It's time to do that!

To be fair the prices are higher here then say Home Depot. The selection is smaller too. I recommend if you need help with anything, avoid the younger employees who clearly know very little compared to their more elderly and wise employees. An older gentleman who helped me with my plumbing concerns was FANTASTIC. He made sure I have everything I needed to unjam my toilet and even told me what to do if I was unsuccessful. Based on that experience I Went back to get some new parts for my toilet a few days later, I was shocked that they were closing at 6PM on a weekday! The younger men who helped were really not knowledgeable and didn't seem to have a clue about minor bathroom repairs. The toilet seat selection was basically empty. So no choices. I finally got what I needed but had really wished the older gentlemen was there.

I called and asked for the service department and the cashier upfront answered. She said they are not answering can I take a message. She got tired of listening to my message and basically told me she has my name and number and they will call me back. I asked why did you ask if you could take a message?When I walked in there with a broken top handle on my 201TC, I asked that it be fixed with a quick turnaround. This was on a Saturday. I requested they just fix the top handle and not check anything else. It is now the next Saturday. I got a message saying the saw can be fixed for $350. In the message, It was suggested I just buy a new saw. So basically they did not fix my sought because they were trying to sell me on a new one. Now I don’t have my saw for another week. Way to f it up.Update: another issue. A year later which is 7-13-20. I have bought saws through this business. Spent well over $10,000 here. Four weeks ago I demanded a free estimate. I didn’t want to pay the $50 fee. I cited all the products I bought through the company. They ended up taking my saw and told me I would have a free estimate. Usually money is required up front. After four weeks. I did not sign any paperwork. Now they are denying the free estimate, or demanding 50+ dollars and refused to give me back my $2000 chainsaw. Take your saws and lawnmowers somewhere else. I don’t make the mistake I did
