Definitely the small, vacationers West Marine, and it fills that niche pretty well. If you're trying to get a part, or something more specific, Fishery Supply is where you want to be.

Made my own cables to hang the new dinghy from our davit. It was fairly easy but it would be much better to have had a helping friend along. It is a bit difficult by myself but I did it. And I'm 73.

Very well organized and stocked. The store is huge, with all sorts of parts, gadgets, and supplies for your boat. Friendly and knowledgeable staff to help guide you if need be.

Wife and I spent a Sunday driving an hour and a half one way to buy a Scotty down rigger. Arrived at store and found the downrigger we wanted laying in the middle of the isle. Checked the price on the tag nearest to it $599. We were certain we had what we came after. Catherine rang it at the till for $799. Baffled we asked why the higher price. Was told that downrigger was in the wrong place and then asked for the $599 downrigger that the web site said one available. Didn't have one in stock. Wasn't asked if we would like one ordered and delivered. Didn't get any further help from the staff other then paying for the other things I purchased. In hind site I should have put everything back and walked out. Wife and I will be sure and take West Marine out of our boating needs shops.

Well stocked and very clean atmosphere! The staff was helpful and distant, as we all should be these days. There were more fishing options than I expected, which was perfect for a 7 year old boy's birthday! Thanks for saving the day!

This is a large, well stocked store with many items boaters would need. They can order vastly more than is on display and have items delivered quickly. Many of the employees are experienced boaters and can provide good advice, although recently this is weakening a bit. They have a price matching guarantee. We are sad this corporation has recently chosen to focus more on clothing and less on hardware and equipment.

I gave one star because they answered the phone. The ship to store system is horrible. Waited month, call store several times. No item. Called Customer Service with a track numbr. They say shipped but track number says not shipped. Latest C/S inquiry says item lost. And wants to reordr. Of course that puts it on backorder. Never was actually available. I cancelled out of frustration. Between high prices and B/SI willnot be back. Losing points too.

I just want to say how rude one of the lady employees were when they approached me today. She literally cussed me out in front of my children and I did absolutely nothing but take a drink from my protein drink. She cussed me out and told me to leave and go outside all because I wanted to take a drink 😢 I understand people have a rough day but don’t take it out on customers. I did ABSOLUTELY nothing wrong. I HIGHLY don’t recommend shopping here when they are so incredibly rude.

Don't waste your time. I went in to look at some options for sonar and I had questions but not a soul wanted to give me the time of day in this place. Every time I go here and need help every single employee acts like I'm a burden to their day. They also say they have a price match but half of there store is self branded stuff that I can buy for half the price elsewhere. Seriously avoid this location at all costs.

I have posted before on Yelp, but this is absolutely the last time I go to this West Marine. So many reasons including they only have have of what you need so you have to go someplace else, but the visit on Saturday, May 1st takes the cake.Headed to West Marine Anacortes at 5:30 pm, after looking to see they closed at 6. I arrived at 5:44 pm and the door was locked, Two people came to the locked door and let a customer out with his bag (not posting one the peoples names). She said we could not enter because there was a DATA problem.......keep in mind it was sunny out on a Saturday night and someone else just purchased stuff. The employee was condescending. I asked for the managers name and she replied with "i am one of them"...She then said "Toodaloo" and closed the door in front of us.I honestly don't understand how this place remains in business. Do yourself a favor and shop someplace else.

No public restrooms! Couldn’t stay. Had to leave without buying, especially when I found that the flares on display were all months old already. I’ll just wait for Kings in Friday Harbor.

I understand this store's target market are yachtys, and for that, maybe I should rate them higher, but A) there aren't many options available in terms of stores for basic boating needs, and B) 60 bucks for a deck brush???? My goodness. But the staff is courteous and they are willing to help. Awe hell. Ill give em 4 stars. But come down on the prices please!

The retail prices will stretch your rectum to extremes. Most people are not aware if they own a business they qualify for a west marine advantage account and the price reductions put them below and on par with any competitor. I r0utinely see retail prices cut in half on consumable items. Today the epoxy that's retail $99 gallon everywhere else is $107 at west marine ....but was $84 at west marine after my discount

A well-stocked and staffed store that caters to all types of boaters. Many feel they're over-priced, but I have found their prices competitive product for product. Can you get a shackle or turnbuckle for less at a hardware store? Sure, but not one that is marine grade and will thus help ensure your safety and return to the dock. If a $50 part stands between me adrift in the rain or having a good meal at a local eatery after returning home, it's a no-brainer. West carries quality products and know their stuff!

Cashier named Carolyn working today at the register was both rude and incompetent. Normally I like the staff at this store. Carolyn had trouble keying a number on a package, repeatedly missing a number or getting it out of sequence. I pointed out what she was missing and she refused to accept my help. After 10 minutes of this, causing a customer backup, she called a manager who quickly typed the right number in. Carolyn refused to accept she typed the number wrong insisting the register wasn't working. The manager just walked away.

In and out super fast. I grabbed a $22 set of polarized sun glasses to replace my broken ones. A guy greeted us at the entrance and had us a new marine radio in less than an ocean moment. I don't know exactly what that means, but, we were in and out, super fast.

Never going to buy from them again. I have a West Marine radio that I bought from them a couple of years ago. Rarely used due to illness. The battery was bulging and cracked. I was surprised when they said that it was too old for warranty. What shocked me is that I can't even buy a new one. They discontinued. The guy told me that the battery is dangerous and might explode! They did try to sell me a new one.

West Marine is fairly expensive in general (paint for example is as much as 4 times more than fisheries supply). I see it as a convenience store. That said, the staff at this particular West Marine is excellent. Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful.

One can always count on West Marine to have a good selection of boating parts and paraphanelia, but for a price. This is one of the bigger stores and is the one place in Anacortes I know will have what I need. I always leave knowing for sure I could have found what I bought for less somewhere else. However, the time and effort to find the better price is rarely worth the savings. In the end, the convenience of West Marine having what I need makes their inflated prices well worth it.

I am so disappointed with the service we got today from West Marine in Anacortes.The gal, that was supposed to help us with our swim deck questions was very Rude,Disrespectful. And very uncaring.I will be calling the manager at West Marine in Anacortes tomorrow morning to hopefully get this resolved.
