Stopped in for the first time today - great selection of flavors, and the waffle dishes and cones were clearly freshly handmade. I love that the coconut ice cream had generous amounts of real coconut flakes in it! We enjoyed our ice cream on the patio outside and the unique murals on the house, then got to meet Too Short (the resident bulldog) as we left.

Great ice cream! They have really interesting flavors and the scoops are well worth the cost! We got the little kid single scoop tin roof sundae and the big kid single scoop cappuccino chip and they were delightful! If we get the chance to go back to this town, we will definitely come here again.

Great place with a wide variety of ice cream, friendly dog that visits you while eating. Love the art work on the house. Friendly owner came out and got my chocolate covered faced child a wet wash cloth! We visit about twice a week and will miss it when the season ends.

I love this place! The people are super nice and friendly! My husband and I first found this place when Pokemon Go came out since the poké stops were across the street. I forgot about it for a bit, but found this gem again yesterday. Was super amazing! Best pecan praline ice cream I've had! 😍 Highly recommend swinging by whenever you're in Anacortes!

Awesome place! The guy was very nice and the ice cream was delicious. When my fathers cone broke he said "Here let me fix that" and gave put another fresh waffle cone under the broken waffle cone. I also appreciated the waffle cone bowl.

Cool tie dye shirts available to buy. If you park far away during farmer's market day, walk across the street to grab an ice cream from this place. It's delicious. Service definitely has improved since I last came here 4 years ago.

Typically, I wouldn't bother leaving a review if a business closes early as "life" does happen, but this seems to be a reoccurring theme here.We arrived on Tuesday, August 15, at 7:20, only to find out it was closed. We had planned on getting ice cream and watching the sunset as it was our last night there.I am giving a 1 star review basis the issue they have keeping the hours that they post, not the ice cream as we didn't get any.If you have issues maintaining the hours you say you will be open, I would suggest changing the hours to accurately reflect the hours you can have it staffed.

Gary does a great job! He’s always up in the morning making fresh waffle cones. Lots of great flavors and the selection is awesome. Don’t be hesitant if there is a line, Gary and his staff do a great job of getting people in and out fast. Highly recommend the fresh waffle cones! But they have kids cones and cups as well!

Lopez Island Creamery Ice Cream, is the best,a must stop passing through to the San Juan's. Madronna trees across the street near the brick area has picnic tables.

I am solely reviewing the ice cream. I wish it tasted better but it didn’t. The ice cream left me longing for more delicious and creamy ice cream that I know is available out here. I’d recommend the owners look into a higher quality source for the ice cream to make it worth the $6+ they charge for a waffle cone.

Funky and fun little place. The ice cream was good and the place was welcoming. We sat outside under the awning while we ate our ice cream. One of the sweet dogs hung out with us while we ate and chatted. We would definitely go back for an ice cream treat.

When you reach the store the waffle cone smell is delicious… ice cream was really good and had a nice stretchy texture!! Paintings on the house were interesting to look at, the owner was cool and took a photo with us and Bigfoot ha.

Updated..we went there again today and there was a girl who served us we had a good customer experience this time and taste was too good.kids loved the ice cream !—————————————————————————--We with 4kids excited to get ice cream arrived at 5.50pm as the shop closure is at 6pm ..the person serving ice cream was throwing lid away and spoke rude after making us stand for 10 mins when we reached next in line saying I am closing the shop and will charge extra 10$ whoever is waiting .. that’s was so mean..please learn saying “sorry we are closed “ for your customer ,that would be more appropriate.More than customer service ,just make the world better place by being kind and compassionate to fellow human being .Thanks !

Small little ice cream shop on the outskirts of town, away from the chaos of Commercial Street. Very good and interesting flavors of craft ice cream and very friendly service. Old time rock and roll played in the shop as well!!Prices were good too I thought, for the size of what you get. Would recommend!!

Quirky ice cream place! The owner had his house painted with a fun mural right beside the shop. The ice cream was yummy and nice portions! I had the blackberry ice cream and it was delicious! Go get yourself a scoop of creamy deliciousness!!!

Great neighborhood ice cream shop. Reasonable price and really friendly staff. Don't expect 31 flavors, but they do what they can in the space available. Places like this are what neighborhoods great.

Excellent as always. Gary is such a cool guy. And the ice cream is delicious, not too creamy like some others. He has actually lowered his prices to help families enjoy an ice cream together. Mad Hatter has perfect, sunny, outside seating, covered area too, and his location is right across from the depot and Madrona groves for ye kiddos to roam and play.

Wow, I've been i love with mad hatter since it opened..and i haven't been a huge ice-cream fan, but this place changed that. Since before having kids I've been going to Mad Hatter's for their fantastic ice-cream selection and their great outdoor lounge area, and now the creative art! Art! Art everywhere! We love it and hope to visit again soon.
