Lorena and Denise have completely transformed my dog over the two weeks she had with them!We started off pretty reactive towards other dogs and now she can ignore other dogs on our walks! She was also able to even walk next to another dog!The turnover lessons have really helped me with my confidence with my dog, which makes my dog trust me even more! It was training for my dog and myself as an owner! I am very excited about where my dog is now with the training provided by Lorena and Denise!

Lorena is wonderful and I highly recommend her services! We did a 2 week day training program and I’m so glad we decided to work with Lorena. She was so patient with my dog, which gave me a sense of comfort that I knew my dog was in good hands. Lorena takes a customized approach with each dog and went out of her way to simulate situations I wanted to train my dog for (practiced vet visits, having visitors over, even took my dog on a hike and gave her a bath!!!) Lorena gave me the tools and confidence to be able to continue on with what my dog learned during her 2 weeks and I’m so grateful.

Gen1k9 changed my family’s life. My husband and I are able to do ALL of the things we love to do WITH our dog and without anxiety. (We could barely take her walks before training.)Taking our dog anywhere used to be a huge struggle. We never thought we would be able to have a peaceful car ride, meal, or outing in general. And then we found Gen1k9. We have the confidence in ourselves and our dog that any time we do anything we all are safe and secure. Even just things like leaving our dog in her kennel when we aren’t home is the SAFEST place she can be. And not to feel guilty about that. I am not kidding when I say my peace of mind and our whole well being has never been better. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

Lorena was located in lemoore for sometime and has made such an impact on this entire community. Whether it’s from rescuing animals off the highway to making sure owners get the best lessons for their dog(s). She is spiritually the best human on this earth and I trust her whole heartily with my own dog. She is caring and totally up front on what she can do for your animal. She’s honest and she treats your pet like if they were her own. Definitely recommend this women! Lorena my dog and I miss you!

Lorena is AMAZING!!!! My dogs were out of control and after training they are so well behaved now. They are literally new dogs! She goes above and beyond and makes sure even after sessions are over that you’re getting all of the help you need. I seriously cannot recommend her enough!!!! She truly cares about you and your dogs!

Lorena at Gen1 K9 is AMAZING. She started working with our golden retriever girl at 6 months old and after only a few sessions she had our dog trained so well. She was able to teach our dog way more than just the basic commands. Our girl walks off leash, has amazing recall, and is a great listener. Lorena has years of experience and knowledge. We get compliments even 2 years later on how well behaved our girl is. We highly recommend Gen1 K9!!

I have never used a dog trainer before and was very anxious. After meeting Lorena all of my worries were put at ease. She took her time to get to know me and my new dog Jasper. Lorena's instructions were straight forward and so easy to understand. I felt like I was hanging out with a friend and I know Jasper felt that way! The end result was an obedient, confident best friend. Jasper is the most amazing dog and I know he would have been a nightmare if I hadn't found Lorena when I did. Both Lorena and Jasper were God sent.

Gen 1 was such an amazing trainer to work with! she is knowledgeable and carrying not only will see explain why commands are important but why it sets great boundaries! She explains the different tools she uses and why and why it is so important for you to learn to use them properly for your furry friend. It was amazing to watch my dog grow during training and how quickly she picked up the commands. I can not even begin to say how happy we were working with Gen 1 definitely highly recommend if you are looking for a well rounded knowledgeable trainer.

I personally hired Lorena for advanced training for our Mercedes. Mercedes was a wild puppy and out of control. First time we met Mercedes was pulling and barking at her. Now Mercedes is a brand new dog. She obeys and walks so well on leash and off leash. We are so confident when we go anywhere with her that she will be well behaved. Lorena taught me so much on how to handle my pup. She has not only become Mercedes trainer but a lifelong friend. I can’t thank her enough for all the wisdom and help she gave us. It’s so enjoyable to go on walks, take our dog to the store or even traveling with her.One time my husband left the side gate open. To my surprise she was just sitting there staring at the the driveway but never went beyond the gate. How awesome is that. It’s due to the training and time we put in with Mercedes. We couldn’t have done it with Lorena. She is amazing and wonderful to work with.

We had no idea what we didn’t know until we met Lorena. Best decision we ever made as pet parents. After rescuing our boy Logan when he was 1, we were not prepared for the Belgian Malinois stubbornness within him. We hired Lorena to help us train him to be a good walking buddy for my husband and so that he would not learn the bad habits of his then 8 year old brother Joey. I thought for sure Joey was an old dog who couldn’t learn new tricks, but we decided all four of us would go through training together so both boys would know the same commands. It was absolutely life changing! Joey went from anxiously pulling me on walks and having major leash reactivity (that was stressful to me and terrifying to people we passed) to walking calmly by my side, even OFF LEASH, with ZERO reactivity to other dogs. I did not think that was possible!! Meanwhile, Logan learned to stay with us off leash in parks or out front, both boys recall on command, wait before stepping through a door, go to place and stay until released… I mean, they sat on our front porch during a yard sale on their place cots and just watched and wagged their tails calmly without a single escape attempt… I could go on and on. It only gets better the more we practice what Lorena taught us with them.

Lorena trained our pittie Leia! She was such a great trainer with her. Leia responds so much better after working with her! She doesn’t jump on people anymore and has great recall! She actually walks better off leash now than on lol. Thanks Lorena for everything you did for us!
