I was leaving the SAFEWAY STORE in Aberdeen, WA, on Heron Avenue, and I am Very upset, as I have been a faithful customer there for 6 years.When I turned around from the register, after paying for my purchases ( $30. worth ), a PLAIN CLOTHED Asian man, pretending to be a customer, snapped a photo of me, with his phone, right in my face = Facial Recognition.He denied doing it, and wouldn’t delete it.I have called the main customer service number, and am waiting for a response as to how to get my photo deleted.I NEVER gave him permission to do this. Almost all of the employees there know me after 6 years, and I will NOT comply if this is to be the new store policy!This incident has been Extremely upsetting, and it is Illegal.Period.

Super friendly. Good selection. Great deli. Pharmacy has some problems. Very long waits and inaccurate counts.You have to really pay attention at checkout. A lot of advertised sales are digital and will not come off If you haven't clicked the coupon on the app. And even then in my experience Safeway this is one of the worst for the checkout not to reflect advertised prices properly. I would have been out $50 just yesterday. If I wasn't paying attention at checkout, the cereal did not come up as sale price and we bought a bunch.The produce is still really good. One of the better selections and quality in town.The deli cheap chicken Monday is still a winner. Aberdeen does ok. The best is the Silver lake WA Safeway for chicken! I've tried at least 20 different locations. Some are definitely better than others.

This place is a joke. Every time I come in to get milk. They are out. How does a Grocery store run out of milk????Added: came in the very next evening and they are out of whole milk again!!! Out of the eggs I buy too.....

I asked an associate at self check tonight if she could find out if a particular item was available in back stock. She had her walkie talkie on her person. I did try to find other help but didn't see anyone else. This particular associate has half red hair half black. She was too busy on her phone to care to help me when I was in search for this item for my ill father. She even had a tattoo stating "too pretty for words" on her arm. It's okay I can bag my own items while use your phone for personal business. Poor customer service and sad human being. She even told me she has the right to refuse service. Simply asking for help politely was too much.

I do not like the lady with black hair who works at customer service. Every time I come in to shop or just get Starbucks, I get harassed by her and runs her mouth telling other employees, lies about me. In the past, I would go in your store and get Starbucks during my lunch time from work. She kept harassing me in the past and still does it to this day. Even other employees have been doing it. I have filed two complaints about her and nothing has been done about it. I am about to make a complaint to corporate about this.

Placed an order for grocery pick up and they got everything right and delivered it quickly when we got there. We ordered cupcakes from the bakery and they were perfect for 7 yr olds birthday. You guys rock

Usually a good store but cashier Andy G. Took over 15mins to check out the lady in front of us because she was too busy talking.She informed the lady in front of us that she like short shifts because she can go slower. Visit and still get paid.This is an excellent store usually other then this one incident.

Parking lots are tight each but generally good store. This Starbucks didn’t scan the Starbucks app reward star. Only gift cards are work. You can’t add your star. They need to system upgrades.! And My husband(He is White male) said When He went to Safeway men’s restroom. He saw the some bad words on wall. (Note is White Power and Nazi’s symbol) He saw it and very upset. Because I’m a KoreanAmerican. And Our kids are Half KoreanAmerican. He was so mad. And He felt like you guys never care about Racism.I hope someone washes it out as soon as possible.

The pharmacy here is terrible. Multiple times I waited in line for over an hour just to be told my prescription wasn’t ready (even though they called that day saying it was). The staff were nice but any pharmacy in town is better than this one.

This is the only store in town unless you want to shop at Walmart. Always busy but also always have some good sales to stock up on. Their meat department offers consistent quality.

They have great Safeway just for U deals, unfortunately they don't stock enough of them. Here is one of many examples.. you put Tillamook cheese on sale and the sale starts on Wednesday and you're out of it in 2 days and never restock it for the next 5 days of the sale and won't give you a raincheck for them. The regular prices here are about 30% higher than most stores in Aberdeen , so when they have a great sale in their weekly ad for digital coupons they need to figure out how to honor it if the product is only available for 2 of the 7 days of the sale.

Staff is always friendly, deli food is always hot and fresh. Clean. Parking can be tricky at times when it's busy but otherwise great place to shop even to pick up last minute items.

Like everything in our world, even the prices of groceries are going up. But only so much the stores can do about that. Staff is still friendly as can be and helpful when you need them.Sept 09, 2022 Update - Through the summer I noticed that some items specifically marked to be in the freezer were being placed in the cooler instead, and even noticed some items were being sold after their best by/expiration dates. Having checked on those items since then, it does seem that someone noticed this and have since put the items in the freezers as should have been, and expired products are being removed.The other observation is with the deli and how it handles customers. With the baked and fried chicken, on multiple occasions I've seen employees bag up orders for the customer without issue, but if they know the customer (family or friend) they will see how long until the fresh chicken is ready and dump the bagged chicken back in the warmer to wait for another customer to order, and give the hot fresh chicken to their family/friend. The staff in the deli need to learn proper prep and timing for cooking the foods because if this hour old chicken isn't good enough for their family/friends, why is it good enough for customers they do not know?November 2022 Update - Isn't it interesting how once November hits the prices on everything double because of the holiday season? I know corporate will just say it's the inflation, but anyone who has paid any attention to Safeway knows that it is the same thing every November, prices double before the holidays. It's time for everyone to buy their holiday foods in October and stop shopping in November and December and see what the stock holders think of 4th quarter profits going down the drain.

This is a follow up to my last review of the pharmacy at this Safeway.After my last sad experience at the pharmacy I decided maybe Be*ky was just having an off day and I should give it another chance.I was sooo wrong. This is the standard operation here. This is the situation on my next visit.My doctor sent in a prescription, I called 30 min later to verify it was received and correct.The pharmacist “ Aubr*y answered the phone. I told her my info and she verified the prescription had arrived and asked me specifically if the prescription needed to be namebrand or generic. Since I’ve had issues with the generic supplied through this Safeway in the past, I informed her that it had to be namebrand.She asked me to hold to verify they had it in stock. After verifying, she said that they did have it, and it would be ready in a few hours.I gave them till the following day to get it ready. I called the next morning to verify it was ready they said it was.When I arrived to pick it up, they informed me that they filled it with the generic prescription “ to save me money. “I informed her my medication had to be the name brand for consistency of dosage.I informed her of my past poor reactions to the generics they carry and asked why they didn’t call me instead of just filling it with the generic when I specifically talk to her and told her name brand was needed.Her response was a rude look and she told me she did not have time to call every patient.My reactions to their ever-changing generic brands that the pharmacist told me “they buy the cheapest available” caused me to have to reach out to my healthcare provider and request only namebrand to avoid the adverse reactions. I have to pay the substantial difference out of pocket.Since she was the pharmacist and was told specifically it had to be namebrand I felt she should have reached out or had someone do it for her rather than filling it with the wrong medication this pharmacy does not care about their patients or their quality of service, I strongly recommend you avoid them at all costs. There are many other pharmacists in the area who do a much better job.I will no longer be returning to this Safeway for my medication’s.- To the pharmacy,You are the most unprofessional, rude and incompetent pharmacy I have ever been to.I hope the rest of the community can find a pharmacy who has proper standards and actually cares to provide a professional service.- To the “pharmacist” Au*rey,You’re supposed to uphold a standard of quality in providing the proper meds.You talked to me directly and still filled the prescription wrong. You did it knowingly and then acted as if it was my fault.I don’t need you to make medical decisions to save me money, you should have just done what was asked by the patient and allowed me to pay the difference.Standing and arguing with the patient after you made a poor decision, only makes you look more incompetent at doing your job and is unprofessional.I hope your replacement does better than you and can raise the quality of your pharmacy.

They have 20 employees but 1 register open at 7:30pm stand in line for an hour! Really bad customer service! Wouldn't ever go again! Thanks guys! Now stuck with wal mart!

Honestly Im getting 5 points just to review Safeway again.They're really nice people they work really hard, the prices.," waaayyy to high but inflation apparently can't be stopped",. Safe any where else.I SAY BOYCOTT ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING U POSSIBLY CAN ONLY BUY WHAT U HAVE TO HAVE THIS IS TO FAR OUT OF CONTROL, ITS, ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE.WE GOT TO DO SOMETHING.Other than that Safeway is good just expensive.

Tried to call and put on hold for a long time then the program started over again but would not transfer to a phone. When you order on line it will not take all off it out of the EBT card, this time only $5, and not the first time. Safeway please fix your problems. I going to Walmart to do my online shopping.

It's Great to see everyone PACKED into the checkout lines. No Disinfecting, few Masks and no gloves being warn by employees. Though I Did get told my service animal can't be in the store, because he Barked at a customers child that was playing with him. So, Company, State and Federal rules and laws do not apply here. Lucky for me, I was only there for a friend. I'm sure I can find that friends special things elsewhere. And no doubt cheaper too.

One of the deli guys I didn't catch the name of is really cool but don't get the general tso chicken from the spot near the deli, the rice tasted like second hand cigarette smoke and felt like pebbles.

Went to go purchase a whole baked chicken around noon today for lunch... Why were all the chickens in the hot holding space made that morning at 7:00AM ..Who's buying chicken at 7am? And why were these 5 hr old Chickens still sitting in the shelf pretty sure they don't have that long of a shelf life. Literally everything disappoints me about this Safeway. Rats, expired food,stank attitudes from cashier's and customer service.

Best grocery store to go to on your way to the Pacific Ocean. Wide selection, produce fresh, staff polite and shelves clean. Everything a grocery store should be. I've been dropping by this location year after year, decade after decade; they've never let us down.
