The staff at this store were so welcoming and kind to me and my 4 year old son. We were staying in a hotel near the store so we visited it multiple times. Each visit they were so patient in explaining concepts to my son. We purchased a window bird feeder and my son is so excited each morning checking to see if there were any visitors as well as checking our reference book to see which birds were coming. Who knew this would be a thing! When we are in the area we will visit again. Wonderful place!

Viewed the natural habitat side yard before entering the store. Enjoyed the variety of bird houses, feeders and bird food health supplies. A wonderful place to start your natural yard habitat. Debbie was patient and answered all my questions with a heart of gold. Exemplary customer service!I recommend this store to purchase your bird supplies.

The ladies who work here greet every single person walking in the door with such enthusiasm and happiness that they're adding another brider to the world! I spent an hour and a half with Joan (? I stink at remembering names) and she was so patient with my novice questions and my frequent excited interruptions. I wasn't pressured to purchase anything at all - in fact, she steered me away from several items more suited to a more experienced birder. Oh, and there are two friendly and adorable cats who own the premises who keep a close eye on everything. I had so much fun talking with these ladies that I couldn't believe the amount of time that had elapsed. I felt like they were more interested in sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with customers rather than pushing merchandise. I learned so much (and I learned how much more there is to know) and I walked out on cloud nine. Absolutely worth a detour and I definitely will return!

Employees are always helpful and the set up they have outside the store to showcase feeders is amazing. All kinds of birds are out there feeding and flying around. After I set up my own system in my yard, I had the same results. Great place to ask questions or share what you've seen in your own yard. They're also great at helping to find solutions to problems you may have with squirrels or starlings. I also enjoy coming here and seeing what they have to offer. Few of the birds I've had over the years.

My fiancé and I stopped by today with the intention of just browsing the store and ended up joining their membership club and purchasing yard decor, a bird feeder, and more! A big shoutout to Barbara for her excellent customer service and her patience with answering all of our questions. If you haven’t ever visited this gem of a small business you should definitely check them out! We will certainly be back in the future especially to visit the furry friends that hang out in store. Thank you to WBU for offering education for your local Assisted Living communities. Michelle brings a fun and educational presentation to The Hamilton in Yorktown. She engages our Residents in conversation and answers all of their questions. Please keep up the good work. We love continuing to learn!I also became a customer of the store after learning so much. The staff is always helpful, the store is clean and organized and we even started purchasing our dog food there. My son personally loves the patio area and watching the birds. It’s one of our go to’s on the weekends!

Believe me, I am by no means a birdwatching expert and just went to pick out a birthday gift for my mother. But the staff, on the other hand, was very knowledgeable about local birds and answered every question I had, as well as telling me about the products I was interested in and making suggestions. Everybody was very kind and helpful, and they even included a couple gifts of different bird feed samples! I left feeling confident in my selection and a little more educated about hummingbird migration :)

This is my mother's favorite place to purchase her bird feed and feeders. She'd been coming here for years. I've come here multiple times to purchase her feeders and such as gifts. They are so friendly and helpful. They also have 2 beautiful cats that love to greet customers. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to purchase bird feed or feeders if your a bird watcher.

It is always an adventure to go here. This visit we got to see some pine warblers eat meal worms from someone's hand! So cute! The staff are ALWAYS helpful and knowledgeable. And they sell things here you can't get anywhere else - like custom birdhouses!

Nice store to get wild bird supplies feeders, houses and all kinds of seeds, suet etc. Plus additional fun they have kitties and dogs to pet and the owners are really nice people.They also have an outside area with some of their feed taking care of the birds. So you can see them in action.Very Nice

My first visit and I received very important information on feeding birds, types of birds in this area, bird food for certain birds , bird feeders types and more. Their bird sanctuary is beautiful and you can visualize all their products there. Their club gave me discounts on the bird feeder and free bird food. I am very glad that I stopped by to see there store.

I'm completely new to the hobby, and I'm amazed by all the help and advice I was given!Last time I tried feeding birds, I went it alone DIY hack style and got a bag of birdseed to scatter in the grass. The birds didn't touch it, and the bag eventually rotted in the hall closet.Today, Jean walked me through the basics, got me the right type of feeder for my fence along with some incredibly nutritious bird food that repels squirrels. She gave me pointers on feeding squirrels in a way that lets the birds eat too. Then for the front yard she went over window feeders and the particulars of entertaining indoor cats.And most ironically, she taught me that birds can't smell and most don't like to feed on the ground. So she introduced me to the type of seed that would attract the largest variety of ground-feeding birds, and then went over some good places to set it out where they're most likely to find it. (i.e. not the grass)This place is a shining example of how it's much easier to get advice and starting gear from knowledgeable people at a hobby store than it is to spend a lot of time and frustration looking it all up yourself to try to save a few bucks.

It's a beautiful place to visit,the staff are always welcoming and knowledgeable and happy to see you.There are always unique gifts ..such as hand carved tables!!And in nice weather..its a sanctuary to sit in the garden by the lake and watch all varieties of birds playing.And the cats and dogs are perfect for petting!Come enjoy..

WOW!!This is the place to go for all your birding needs!!We came here to purchase a specific feeder and feed, the staff is insanely knowledgeable. The bluebird nest cam is my favorite. Lets not forget about all the resident animals that just hang out. This place is the best and a must visit!!
