I love this place. This is where I buy my dragons and all their food supplies. The owner and his daughter are so polite and helpful. I drive from Williamsburg all the way to Yorktown just to get my supplies and animals from them. Love these guys. I got these two big boys from them, back in June and July

The last three times I went into the store the rabbits had no hay or water. Rabbits depend on hay for good digestion and keeping their teeth from getting to long. Take care of them or don't sale them in your store.

Very clean and lots to see! They have many common and exotic animals, including fish, that you can view in store. Prices are great and locally owned. The gals I met while my first visit today were very nice and seemed knowledgeable. The owners also host the exotic pet expo in town, which was fascinating to see.

This is a great pet store with a great variety of interesting pets. There are rabbits to see, as well as some pretty birds out. They also have a lot of high quality pet supplies. Great place to bring little ones.

I'm happy with the ferrite we purchased. My 4 year old son gives him a new name everyday. We purchased the large ferrite and it was a bit pricey with the cage and all three accessories. Spent a less than 600 dollars on everything including the ferrite.

Staff is comprised of serious animal lovers. Always very helpful. It does usually sink a bit in this store... but they have a lot of live animals so.... guess it comes with the territory.

We got our rats here. They were amazing and knew a lot about the animal when we asked! 100% recommend for any small animal/reptile purchasing. actually, we are thinking about getting a ball python here. ( of course, the rats and ball python will be seperated)

I was greeted by Felicia and one other worker coming into the Yorktown location. Unlike the Gloucester one that used to be around this was way cleaner and better organized. They had Cockatiels and lovebirds, I asked about budgies and she informed me that they breed them in house. After asking a few more questions I was pretty impressed with the knowledge and cleanliness. I saw reptiles, rabbits and guinea pigs/gerbils for sale too.Good mix of products, a cute Cockatoo and blue/gold macaw at the front of the store who were so quiet I didn't notice them.Overall it was a good experience. Bought some dog supplies for my friend's dog, and I can say the prices and professionalism were top notch. A good local place!

Pet zone is okay. It is not very clean and has fairly high prices. It is one of the few places that carries food for our pets so there is not a very big choice.

Great local pet shop. I like to support places like this. They have live animals including fish, birds, lizards, snakes, rodents, spiders, and sometimes rabbits or ferrets. A cool tortoise named Sarah roams the shop. Everytime I walk in, I am greeted and helped. I go here to get frozen rats for my snake. They carry habitats and toys and of course food. Lots more! Definitely check it out.

My friend and I came in and got the runt of a bunny litter and she is just such a sweet bean. I really appreciate this store. They helped us with getting the proper food pellets and everything. The two girls working the register were earnestly interested and helpful.Great store.

Deplorable conditions. Overpriced, asking for twice the value of the pet.Sulcata tortoises are being fed incorrectly and are confined to tight spaces, one was not even able to turn around.Crested geckos fighting and mating.Tortoises of multiple species and different husbandry conditions kept together and some on the brink of death.I bought a hingeback here months ago that did not make it, she had kidney failure from awful conditions and was completely infested in many types of parasites.Do not buy anything from here.

Locally owned. Operated by polite, informed staff. We’ve been coming for over a year. We bought our leopard here and regularly return to stick up on crickets and treats for our bird feeders, dogs, and cat.

So while walking in I was taken by surprise. This place almost has the smell of a zoo. Now honestly, at first I was concerned until I stopped and realized that it's because it's an actual pet store. The staff is knowledgeable about each of the areas they work with. Each question we had, the staff was eager to answer and or find the answer. The only reason I have rated at 3 of 5 is appearance at first glance, which can turn away many before giving them a crack at earning business. Thank you Tony, Amber, Christina and everyone else that I have not named!

I was sold 2 female mice, but one turned out to be a male. I love this pet store and the staff are always lovely. They have fair prices and a wide variety of stock. But messing up the gender of a small animal is a pretty big mistake in my opinion. I'm glad I caught the mistake before I ended up with a litter of baby mice. I would likely come back to this store (I drove an hour to it) in the future but will definitely be checking the animals myself if I get another small animal from here.

This place was ok. I would rather go to Petco or PetSmart though. They just didn't have much for dogs, not like I thought they would I guess. They did however have my dogs wet food in stock unlike other pet stores recently but other than that I didn't really see anything for my dog at least. But thats just me & my opinion everyone is different. 🙂

Such a clean and beautiful store. All of the animals are so healthy and well cared for. The prices are incredible, and the staff is so knowledgable and willing to help or answer any questions. This is my go to, and I am so happy to have found this place. I purchased a beautiful and healthy ball python from here, and am so glad I did. Again this is just a fantastic place with so many truly caring people!

The day staff is very knowledgable and friendly. Was very helpful and went above and beyond to help me achieve what I was looking for and wanted. She made that achievement happen. Thank you. The evening staff was very friendly but quite young. Some knowledge but not well , in small animals and care. I knew more. However that doesn't affect my positive experience there. Very nice and clean store. Highly recommended.

Great place! Very healthy and well cared for animals. Purchased a beautiful bubble tip anemone that's still thriving. Great customer service. Always willing to help. Can be a little overwhelming if you don't like that type of "in your face" service but great place overall to pick up some great creatures and a little knowledge.

It is a good local pet store. It seems to specialize in fun little animals like rabbits and sugar flyers and lizards of all different kinds as well as a few different birds. I can see they care for the animals they have. The prices are reasonable compared to the chain stores, and their food bugs are bigger looking than what I see at the chains. I will definitely be spending a little more here to support this place than going back to the chains. Good job on a good store. Keep up the good quality of work and service.

The store is pretty decent but the aquatics section is a dump. Broken equipment and dead fish everywhere. Avoid if you are looking for fish.

Amazing selection of reptiles and reptile care items. I stayed in this store waaaaay too long. Its not that they have a million of em but some are very unique. Taking my kid tomorrow because I sent pictures and shes dying to see them in person. The staff also seems well educated about the needs of the pets as well(overheard conversations as I looked in every single tank).

A little bit pricey but that's to be expected in privately owned businesses as they dont get the bulk discounts that many chains do. I continue to come here because of the aquarium selection (especially plants and decor). I also enjoy the extremely attentive and helpful staff. Would highly recommend this place to anyone that values good customer service.
