Stopped for lunch here in Yorktown on a beautiful sunny midweek day. The " Robert" sandwich special was wonderful, although took some time to prepare. This is not a place to visit if you are on a tight schedule...You have a choice of eating outside on picnic tables that essentially adjoin the colonial graveyard, or upstairs in the second floor of the building dating from 1720. The restaurant offers lovely bakery items and fabulous local roasted coffee as well.

This is a one of a kind coffee shop. Housed in a colonial era historic home this is a perfect spot to enjoy a cup of great coffee. Their bakery serves up some amazing choices if you have a sweet tooth. We couldn't decide between the cherry tart and apple cake so we got both! They also have breakfast and lunch specials daily. You can sit upstairs in the quaint dining room or if the weather is great sit outside in the garden. The coffee has a mild roast that is not bitter but instead is very smooth.

Absolutely love the building! This was my 1st visit but I'll definitely be back for Great Fresh Coffee and to try the diner! I gave Food a 1 star because I never tried it but I'm sure it's just as good as the coffee! Employees were very friendly and helpful. The scenery of the Colonial Town is beautiful. Yorktown Beach is located at the bottom of the hill makes a trip to the coffee shop even better!

I had an iced lavender latte...it was very tasty. The roast their beans on site. Love the nooks and crannies/alcoves for sitting both inside and outside.Parking: Free parking lots are in select areas of the historic yorktown. Not too far of a walk from the shop.Wheelchair accessibility: Old building it is doable but tight. Better to sit outside and have a friend order as the staff will bring out your food/drink.

This was a great stop ~ what a cute, cozy coffee shop! Quaint indoor table seating as well as outdoor. Delicious coffee (try the dark roast ) and all of our sweet or savory pastry/sandwich selections were delicious. Svyeta and Lainey were welcoming and such friendly faces for this shop!!

Very cute cafe in a historical home with the friendliest and most helpful staff. Their coffee is top notch and one of the best in the area! They also offer a few beers on tap from Capstan Brewery in Hampton. The sandwiches are a must try, especially the grilled cheese and Chicken Pesto! Large selection of baked goods, freshly roasted take home coffee, and fine teas. They have a wonderful large outdoor backyard seating area and a cozy upstairs lounge as well. Highly recommend a visit!

Beautiful location, and really good coffee, but that staff was rude and impatient with us as customers trying to ask any questions. We had never been there before and that had to be very obvious as we looked around and were trying to read information about their products. When we went to ask questions of the staff in the shop she was short, had an impatient attitude, and gave perfunctory answers that didn't really help. Giving 4 stars because the food and coffee were excellent, but really wish they had been more friendly. And we probably would have spent way more money.

Such a fun place to grab a coffee/tea, pastry, or lunch while visiting Yorktown! The iced coffee was delicious; in fact so good we bought a bag of beans to take home! We enjoyed the club sandwich panini and the Mobjack Caprese Sandwich. Both had generous amounts of the listed ingredients and were served freshly made. We bought several kinds of pastries too and loved them all! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items and the service was timely. They even gave us directions to a wonderful gift store that only sells works from local artists! We loved the atmosphere of the 1600s house and had the added pleasure of talking with a local who lives around the corner. Check out their selection of wines and teas too! We plan to return to Yorktown again and will definitely make this a go-to favorite!

A great find! There was a line, but the line moved quickly. Wonderful iced coffee. Surprisingly good Rueben, and my partners Chicken Sandwich was real chicken breast.Plenty of outdoor seating at picnic tables. Old folks and families with young children. Slight view of the York RiverParking: 2 Hour Parking along the street!

Favorite local coffee shop/roaster. We use their Mobjack Java beans on a daily basis but that doesn't hold us back from going to this nice cafe to enjoy the coffee and yummy pastries/food. The coffee is consistent and bold.Inside has the cute French bakery look and when the weather permits their backyard area with the picnic tables is quite pleasant.Highly recommend it to the coffee enthusiasts.

Great coffee and a very warm and charming environment! Owner and help or very hospitable and nice! The building is from 1726 with the original floors. Absolutely a wonderful place to dine for the history buff. Great views from the second floor dining room as well! Plus, you can dine in the garden out back. Just a very wonderful warm and extremely unique atmosphere and location!

Very cute building. Eat-in, eat outside in the shade under the trees, or order to-go. I usually like my iced coffee with a lot of milk, they used much less than I would prefer and I'm so glad they did. This coffee is smooth, not bitter. Such a nice flavor. They did have the option of almond milk, which is appreciated. For lunch I had the grain bowl. Everything was fresh, nice blend of colors and textures, and was delicious. They had vegan and gluten-free options. Took home scones for later. They had a slight grit taste, like cornmeal, so these were different texture than what I'm used to. Tasted great, and they offered 3 flavors.Hope to return soon to try other meal options. Looking forward to my next cup of coffee.

While touring colonial Yorktown, we got thirsty so we spotted into Mobjack Bay Coffee. The folks in the shop were all wearing masks. Even serving coffee or tea they prepared the drinks behind the counter and provided cream and/or sugar rather letting customers touch a common thermos or utensils. The quality of the house roasted coffee was excellent and they also carry nice tea (Harney & Sons). Didn't sample any of the food, but would like to try it next trip.

This is a beautiful little shop in a history-rich building that serves fresh coffees, cold brews, teas both hot and iced. They now serve pastries, sandwiches, fine beers and wines and more. I highly recommend getting a bag of their in-house roasted coffee.Plus, they offer an amazing tea service! It's pricey, but you get a wonderful selection of sandwiches, tea, scones and desserts.

Mobjack Bay is such a cozy setting for bakery items and sandwiches. They have wine, craft beer and tea for sale. Best of all, they have coffee that’s roasted in house for drinking there and purchasing. It’s a cafe too so there is food that you can order and then you can sit in the dining area upstairs or hang out outside. Definitely come visit if you’re in the area.

Best grilled cheese sandwich. Historic house built in 1726 with well preserved interiors. Enjoyed an iced Cafe late... excellent. Don't forget to check out their authentic coffee roasting machine.

They were super friendly. They were very knowledgeable on their products and made great recommendations. We really enjoyed the period style atmosphere, and they did not skimp on the extras. If we lived here, we would frequent this establishment. Their location right in the historic walk only added to the overall experience. The parking is just up the street, so the walk to it was not difficult. It was a fun experience.

The curried chickpea wrap.... So absolutely delicious. Grab one and take it down to the beach. Stand in the water while the waves lap at your legs. Close your eyes and let the sun warm your skin. Then take that first bite. It's perfect.

Stopped in here looking for a little excursion during the holidays and was incredibly glad we did. This place was one of the highlights our our visit and a truly unique experience. Coffee, tea and sandwiches were on par as any coffeehouse (better than your average chain) but the historic house and location made it well worth the effort. I genuinely felt like I was back in colonial times planning a revolution while enjoying a turnover and chai.
