Quick and easy place to get groceries right outside base housing. The only thing I don't like is they keep asking if I have a price saver card... I tell them no, and they don't offer it to me or tell me how to sign up. It's ok, just a spot to pick up a few quick things, and they have a decent beer selection

I got a sweet Potato pie from this location I was very disappointed it had so much nutmeg in it I was eating a nutty pie instead of sweet potato pie and the crust tasted a day old smh somebody was tired and heavy handed. That pie was some low grade work I wouldn’t feed it to my cat or dog.

Great staff. Friendly and helpful.The supermarket is conveniently located in a small shopping center near my kids' home. Great when needing some items for a quick meal, but not for a major grocery shopping outing as they carry a limited supply and may be out of stuff (each time I visited they were out of an item and they had only one brand of pancake mix).Easy access next to a major road and lots of free parking available.They also have an app you can get on your phone to get your customer card so you can get discounts, sales, and points. No extra card to carry (I really like that).

Nice store, good location, great associates, good sales and good specials. Especially on weekends. Look for hidden specials on end caps and mid aisle. Plenty of parking and accessibility. I've never experienced a line longer than 3 carts

I shop here frequently through the Instacart app. I consistently receive items that are way past their expiration date such as pork rinds (expired 2/27/23 but they were shopped for me on 6/9/23). That is 4 months past the expiration date!! The store needs to do better at removing expired items from the shelves. This is disgusting and shows how little they care about customers. I've had many items that were like that.Check your expiration dates people! And Food Lion, DO BETTER!!

Standard smaller Food Lion. Stock is usually good unless you're looking for organic bran mix but they've improved their selection and might have that too. Cashiers are friendly. This place is my go-to unless if I need less than five items.

Standard Food Lion XL. Full delivery and bakery. Fresh wings and chicken nuggets from 4-7 pm. Sometimes, it's Chinese food. You can have the butcher cut some nice cuts of beef if still on premises. Outstanding customer service.

This Food Lion had a make over recently. It is bigger inside now and cleaner. The sales and rewards are great! Love those 2 for $5 deals! The employees are also great! The store had a management change a little while back. So employees are much happier now, helpful and knowledgeable.They have re-organized the store a couple times, so finding things was frustrating. But for the most part they are settled in now.

This location has a great walk-in fruit and vegetable cooler. The selection is always fresh and clean. There is a decent variety. I come here and one other place for the cilantro. The meat selection is decent. I like this Food Lion. It is clean and the employees are kind and professional.

Food lion, a breathtaking business that doesn't disappoint. This location especially has my heart. The reason? It is convenient considering it is within the reach of my real estate. If i need 4 or 5 or 10 frozen pizzas food lion is down the street patting my back like a kid petting a puppy. If my grandma has fallen down our stairs? Food lion has a medical section for quick fixer uppers. Or if i wanna throw a "rager" at my house when my parents are out of town? Food lion is yet there again patting my back with all the hardcore liquor and beer i could dream of. This food lion is just so convenient for quick and easy purchases. A feature of food lion I was so thankful for as a young toddler was the miniature shopping carts. This built and formed me into the independent man i am today. This feature is amazing and a key jumpstart to forming are youth to be reliant on themselves. I am so proud of the employees and managing that works at this food lion. My heart screams "THANK YOU" to all of you!

It’s good. You can find all necessary items, clean ,people are good and very helpful. Fresh bakery and food items especially the fries chicken are just awesome. It sells fast and I hardly get it .😂 Only issue I feel is it’s bit pricey, but yes it serves the purpose for the locality and household around it.

After extensive research, I have concluded that this Food Lion is the best grocery store in all of Hampton Roads. The staff is friendly, the shelves are always stocked, and everything is reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend getting the MVP card for the best deals.

I came to this location to pick up a cake for my son and daughter-in-law's reception BBQ. I was very pleased at the quality of the cake as well as the friendliness of each and every employee that I encountered. I was also super happy with the service of a young lady named Brittney that helped me while I was there. I don't know if she was a manager or an assistant manager, but she was very professional and extremely helpful. I highly recommend this Food Lion location to anyone.

Very average at best. It is definitely a grocery store but lately has been out of a bunch of things. I would have noticed but I stopped at another food lion in the area and it was fully stocked. Seems the management here is lacking badly.

I am so glad I went in today to see if they had the items I needed for my Sugar gliders. The Produce workers today are so very nice and helpful as well as answered all my questions. I now will be going to Food Lion for my supplies to feed my gliders. I love that there was already cut watermelon that is fresh as well as fresh fruits and vegetables in little containers so I dont have to waste large amounts of food.

The Food Lion on Magruder is a very nice store. I much prefer the Food Lion in Poquoson much better for their produce though. And, today when we went in , the stuff in Produce and the bakery were out of date. Also, the one on Magruder NEVER has the saniwipes at either door. I dont care if I go in there any day or any time, there's never one at the front of the store that's filled. I can go into the Poquoson store, and no matter what day, or what time of day it is, those Saniwipes are always filled up. Those are the only complaints I really have about the Food Lion on Mcgruder Blvd. The cashiers and Deli people are always friendly and helpful.

Recently upgraded their produce section and are currently expanding their aisles. We love this store! So close to military housing. Im not a big shopper and I like to go here daily. They added more checkout lanes too! Make sure you go through Dillion's lane! He is the best!

Always had a great experience with this store. Like some have already mentioned, the lines can be pretty lengthy due to limited registers. It is a clean store, staff is very nice and helpful and they have a decent selection. It definitely beats going to Walmart! Very convenient location!

Not real HAPPY with remodeling, produce harder to see what you are getting I like to look at a few and pick what I think is the nicest one. Some thing that are mist Don't need and thing that do aren't.Why the product on certain aisles could not stay as it was that way we the consumer would know what aisles to go to . ( bread same aisle as before etc.)

Love they're premade meats. Bacon wrapped everything. Customer service is excellent and the MVP program rivals Kroger's. Top notch grocery store!

I would like to give a huge "Thank you" to Garrett in the bakery for such a well prepared surprise cake for my wife on her birthday. The cake was done wonderfully and beyond my expectations. I requested the basics for color and the border colors. I was told that Garrett was really good at designing cakes when given the opportunity to freestyle. So, I believed in the employee that was in the bakery on the 26th of August 2017. She was right and Garrett called me on the day to get some additional information for what I wanted. I just told him " Do your thing, and just let your creativity and skill free".... My wife couldn't stop looking at the cake in amazement and didn't want to cut the cake. It finished off her birthday right and I couldn't thank Garrett enough, "Thank you".I will definitely be coming back here for my sone birthday cake in two weeks and for my daughters birthday cake in November.
