HQ needs to shut this pharmacy down, get someone to train these people on how to do their jobs, or fire everyone in the pharmacy to replace them. I've tried several attempts to transfer prescriptions over to them to get it filled. I've been told my info is in their system. After 3 weeks of waiting and trying to get more information, I moved onto another Pharmacy.Funny thing is, the time I went into the store there were 8 reps behind the counter 'working.' This job isn't rocket-science, and the only difficult part is validate a prescription type/brand and the correct dosage. Other than that, it's basic reading and paperwork. It amazes me people are still employed and don't do their jobs...at least on the most basic minimum level. This is one of the primary reasons for all of the layoffs the past 18 months too. And, these 'pharmacists/reps' in the pharmacy desired, studied and finished school for those jobs too. Yet, they can't even perform the most basic responsibilities. For those reading through all of this, go somewhere else. Otherwise, you're playing with fire because God forbid you receive the wrong dosage, drug type, or don't get it at all and there's complications.

Walked in to receive a new COVID-19 shot, as the website says we could. The woman who was at the front was nothing but rude and short with us and told us we’d have to speak to the pharmacist. The pharmacist was not much better at speaking to us and listening to our concerns. While the pharmacist was talking to us, the other employee continue to mutter and grumble in the background about us. The issue was not that they were not able to give the vaccine until later in the day, but their overall attitude. Will not be returning!

I find items I need and save quite a bit of money using Extra Bucks and other opportunities for special deals. Coupons are sent to the CVS wallet card easily and apply without fail during self checkout, which I also find to extremely easy to use. Much easier to work with than Walgreens system in my experience.

I did not think that CVS could be any worse or incompetent. A prescription that needed re-pre-authorization was again pre authorized. The medication was physically here Monday and my wife went to pick it up only to be told that it would be $560 as it needed an insurance “pre authorization”. I’ve been taking this medication for over a year and CVS/Caremark is my prescription plan. So I contacted my physician who pre-authorized it again. I went to pick it up today and was told it was still not pre authorized. I asked them to run it again. I was asked to go to a different window and waited 1/2 hour for them to rerun it while watching several dissatisfied customers complain about issues of their own. Finally they established that I had a valid pre authorization. Then, they were unable to locate the medication that had been there Monday. So now I am without my medication for several days because of the utter incompetence of CVS. I am forced to use CVS because of my prescription plan, but if I had a choice I would never enter a CVS again for any reason.

Pharmacy was great! Filled prescription quickly. Even had an issue where Walgreens was closed and so my prescription was transferred here...and insurance was causing problems with the transfer. They helped with that and filled my prescription. Nice, friendly staff!

Pharmacy needs to get their stuff together. Worst experience I’ve ever had at any CVS pharmacy. They need to get more organized.

I have been totally dissatisfied with this CVS since I moved to yorktown last October. Yesterday was the worst. I waited in line in the drive-through for almost 30 minutes. It didn’t take long for me to get up to the window, but once I got there, they kept me for 20 minutes. I was told that the pharmacist needed to ask me a question. I waited patiently for the first 15 minutes and then saw that the people in back of you were getting a little bit impatient as well. I rang the bell and asked if it was going to be much longer. She told me she’s still waiting on the pharmacist, and there was nothing she could do about it. When the pharmacist finally got to the window, she said, in a very patronizing voice, that we are not a fast food drive through and then she was sorry. Then she proceeded to ask me if I knew that my medication‘s had drug interactions. I said I’ve been on these medication‘s for seven years for stage four cancer and I know the medication’s very well. She continue to tell me that one of the medication’s I was taking would lessen the effectiveness of my chemotherapy drugs. I told her that we discussed it at length with my doctors and they do not believe that that would be the outcome. All my doctors are out of Jon Hopkins and they have kept me alive since 2017 when initially the prognosis was 11 months. Although I do appreciate pharmacist, making sure on the drug interactions, she does not need to argue with me when I tell her that I know the interactions and we are well aware of them. the whole experience made me feel pretty violated. I will not be going to that CVS again.

I haven't gotten to the pharmacy yet and I'm already pissed. I tranfered my prescriptions here from walgreens thanks to insurance. Now I have a prescription on hold, and can't get a hold of human being at the cvs to talk. If someone figures that out, please tell me how did you do it. It's literally impossible to talk too a human.

I can't believe the experience I just had with this CVS. I have a sick baby at home. Her pediatrician called in a prescription for her to this CVS, which we have to use for insurance reasons. The pharmacy claimed that they'd never received it. So naturally we called our baby's pediatrician to tell her so, so she could call it in again. She checks whatever system it is that they use, and says, "I can see that they have received that prescription."She calls the pharmacy herself and asks, "Why are you telling my patients you don't have this prescription I called in when you do? I can see that you do."Answer: They didn't have the medication in stock, so, rather than tell us that, they decided to flat out lie to us.Who thought this was an acceptable course of action to take?! They wasted our time. They wasted our pediatrician's time. We could have been using that time to go to another CVS to get something for my baby, who's burning up with a 103 fever while their lies have us playing phone ping pong with them and our doctor! The "BEST" part of all this was after our doctor called and scolded them, they "found" the medication that they "hadn't been able to find" before. And were able to fill our prescription.Needless to say, I will be calling corporate. I've worked in a pharmacy before, and I remember learning what kind fo standard of care pharmacists are expected to provide. This isn't it.

The pharmacy does not seem to care about customer service at all. While waiting for service they just engaged in personal conversations instead of waiting on customers????

Ive never had an issue with this pharmacy. Is there a wait sometimes? Yeah, but there's a wait every where. Pharmacies are severely understaffed and the staff that are there are underpaid. Ive used both my medicaid insurance and goodrx there when some scripts weren't covered and never had an issue using either. They even helped me when I switched to goodrx gold and needed to update my account to get a better discount. The staff had always been helpful when ive had a hard time finding stuff (both pharmacy and store staff). Ive been able to call and check prescriptions several times and they were very prompt in sending my scripts to a pharmacy in CA when I spent a year out of state.

My 83 year old blind mother has had yet another terrible experience with the CVS pharmacy. Because her insurance will only use CVS she has no choice but to use the closest one to her. It happens to be this CVS. Last year they gave her a prescription that, if she had taken it, would have killed her. It wasn't even her prescription. The name on the bottle was somebody else. Yesterday, my son picked up her prescriptions which was supposed to be five total. There were five bottles in the bag and he was assured that it was all five prescriptions. However, when he got to her house, which was an hour away on the other side of Gloucester county, three of the bottles were for one prescription. She only had three of the five. Then, she gets a phone call with an automated message saying that her prescriptions are going to be put back on the shelf if she doesn't pick them up. My mother is elderly and disabled. She needs her prescriptions to be correct. In fact, everybody needs their prescriptions to be correct but for some reason this CVS Pharmacy has shown severe negligence; and my mother is the one having to suffer for it. If you can get your prescriptions filled someplace else, do so!

Once again, this pharmacy deserves below a 1. I understand supply shortages and I understand staffing issues. This goes beyond that:*They're rude just answering the phone if they answer the phone. "Plan to wait on hold for at least 20mins"*For years my insurance was coded incorrectly and never fixed. (Didn't know until I switched locations)*You have to follow up on prescriptions on hold because they will cancel them with a notification.*Request prescriptions be filled when sent over by a physician.*Prescriptions will sit on hold for days, instead of stating out of stock, just wasting people's time and money. It's disappointing because I love shopping at CVS. Couponing and deals are incomparable. Please bring in some QC for this pharmacy.

10/26/23 around 1630 - Waited on hold for 1 hour. Someone answered after a while and told me to hold (didn't wait for a response). Someone else picked up and then put me on hold again, but didn't say anything. Never came back to the phone and I gave up. The reviews are true in my experience - it can be impossible to get a hold of them sometimes.

Enjoy waiting up to 60 minutes every time you need your prescription? Like having to play phone call ping pong between your doctor and CVS? Enjoy working with understaffed and overworked pharmacy techs? The people who work here try their best, but unfortunately CVS doesn't staff this place properly, and it shows.

I only use CVS because of my insurance. They don't fill scripts your doctor prescribed for days, if at all. Last time I sat on the phone for 45 minutes to speak to a human at the pharmacy, because my prescriptions have not been filled and are "on hold". Expect a minimum wait of 20 minutes to get through. They don't keep stock of medicines we get every month, like my daughter's insulin. Many times I have been told they don't have an item in stock by one person, then another employee finds it. They say it is because they are understaffed, but they have 3-4 people back there every time I'm there. Go right down the street to Rite Aid or Walgreens with only two people working, and they'll have your medicine ready in less than an hour. This CVS pharmacy has some rude and apathetic staff. They really don't care about their customers. It literally takes longer to get my prescription filled here than it does to go through mail order.

The Pharmacy Staff not all but most of them should do a better job. First, stop lying to customers of when their prescriptions are ready 3 to 4 times a week when you know it will not be ready. We have to take time off our work to be there for our loved ones medications and we don't need a run a round. Second, learn how to read orders correctly and not judge to patients like we are junkies off the street give the questions to the physicians and therapist that is working hard to help the patients. I believe your professional attitude and how you deal with everyone can set good examples to many others but it starts with a better running operations not just greedy over run store that cannot keep up the pace because you refuse to turn people away. You are like a Big Thug Drug Dealer that picks and choose who you want to dispense drugs and step on who you want because you can. Shame on You CVS!! Last of all... you really need to start checking on some or the controlled drugs since it is always short. I would monitor everyone one of the staff or let the Authority take it from there. At this point some of your staff shouldn't even have any stars because of the poor service. Your staff needs to do better way better.

Typically there's no real issue, but recently I received a text that my prescription was ready for pickup and when I got here it wasn't ready and the one submitted by the doctor the day prior wasn't filled. I was told come back in about 45 mins, so I took my kids to eat and 2 hours later they still weren't filled. The pharmacist fixed it on the spot, but she could have done that 2 hrs prior.Tonight I showed up and their pharmacy is now closed on weekends after 6pm? When did that happen?

Slow as molasses. & I don’t mean a 10 min wait. I’m talking half an hour with no help. The drive through is a waste of time. Nice people for the most part but you better be off for the day if you’re going to pick up a prescription. You’ll be there forever.

The pharmacy staff are very rude and slow. After few days of calling to get my wife’s rx refill, I was told it would be ready by certain time, waited 2 days to pick it up and still wasnt ready! Made me wait another 2 hours so they can have it fill without any consideration that we have to travel in the next hour!! Shame on staff for being so lazy and refused to do what they promised to thier costumer!! Dont dare coming in this store! Needs to change the whole staff!!!

If I could give zero stars I would I came this morning to pick up a prescription and of course the pharmacist did not show up this place is the absolute worst good thing I’m not dying because clearly they would just ignore you and and pray for the best the cvs brand should be ashamed of themselves for having such a deplorable place of business where people rely heavily on getting medicine and due to specific insurances people to have the luxury of finding another drug store. At this point 1.8 stars on this review is generous this business deserves negative and needs to be audited for performance.

I usually don’t pay attention to bad reviews, because people tend to be over dramatic but that’s definitely not the case with this CVS location. First off a few of the pharmacy staff members had some of the nastiest attitudes ever. If you don’t want to be at work or deal with customers, it’s very simple to just not show up to work. There was also issues with my insurance and one of my prescriptions, which seems to be an ongoing issue according to the other reviews. Lastly the cashier at the front was rude and had an attitude, which was unnecessary. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

Usually love CVS but not this one. The staff is nice enough, but if you have any medication issues good luck it will be days to weeks before you can get your medication here. My insurance issue was a simple one and my doctor even left his phone number so if there were any issues a CVS employee could call. Do you think they called the number??? No. So now I am paying full price for my medications because it’s too hard to go through my CVS Caremark insurance, which oh by the way IS OWNED BY CVS. So the company that is causing the problem can’t even solve the problem. It’s horrible. If you can go somewhere else.

Checked me in for my booster and told me to sit down. 10 minutes later they call me asking where I am when I'm sitting right in front of them. Then they say they are out of the booster when I had a scheduled appointment. When I complained they said they didn't want to waste the other half of the dose and asked if I could come back tomorrow which I couldn't. Then they said they'd give me the booster in a few minutes. Then they said it was frozen and they couldn't give it to me. Very disorganized and unprofessional. I would not waste your time going here.

After neglecting to go somewhere else due to convenience after 6+ years I've decided to go elsewhere. Staff is (perhaps because of always changing) rude and short tempered as well as unknowable of customers weekly/biweekly/monthly scripts. Also, unfriendly when dealing with drive through and upset w/ pharmacist when he/she/*they* is busy doing their requirements.

I went to get my 2nd booster & the pharmacy manager Josh Brunet was very rude & highly unprofessional. I asked about the wait time, he said at least 30 minutes, I have several. So I asked to make an appointment & he rudely said no he had too many. I said the sign right here on your counter says it is best to make an appointment. He started to mutter something else & I said never mind, I will go somewhere else. He had nothing to say. I will never go back to CVS with such rude & unprofessional management.

Would not let me give them 0 stars so 1 star it is. You will die if you need daily medications. Do Not go here. I tried for over two weeks to get ahold of the pharmacy to fill my son's epilepsy medicine. I do not live in this state, but my son graduated and moved to Virginia for a work-study job to learn machining and welding. I sit on hold for an hour a few times then I called the front and spoke to the manager and asked her if she could have someone answer. She said yes she would transfer me and go back there and tell them. I sit there another 20 mins before I hung up. I called the next closest to his location they answered immediately and were done in 2 mins. This store is ridiculous and is wide open for a lawsuit. This location should be shut down or a completely new staff (pharmacy). Like, I said you may get sick or die if you use this location. Go somewhere else, please don't depend on this location even if you have to drive a little farther.
